The spa is in the heart of Ktown and there's parking at the central plaza lot. One block south of wilshire. it's $3 with validation. You won't see the spa off wilshire but once you park and walk towards the plaza you'll see the sign. They have full service - facials, scrubs. massages, v steaks, hot rooms, cold room, sauna, pools etc. Cost for entry is $70 but if you get a service that serves as your entry free. I recommend just getting a service because then you can do all the other things as well. This is a women's only spa so prepare to bare it all in the shower and pool area. They do give you a cute pink robe so when you're on the dry areas you can be covered. There's no food but then do have coffee, tea, water. But let's get into the scrub!!!' I did the signature scrub. I literally want to gatekeep this place to myself. As a person who's always prone to stress due to my work, this place literally melts away all my stress and anxiety. I always come here as a monthly ritual for the Lavender Soothe treatment and the lady I always receive the treatment from never fails to do her magic with her hands. I'm always half-asleep during the treatment just going back and forth in between my consciousness and unconsciousness LOL That's how good she is my goodness Everyone minds their own business in the spa and just simply comes here to indulge in all of our nudity. I feel at so much peace especially when I'm the Oxygen Room. I never fall asleep outside of my own bed but that room specifically always puts me to sleep. This place is super cute and cozy, has everything you need. Staffs are lovely as well. One thing I didn't like was my massage. I got a relaxing service in hopes of falling asleep but I got the most painful massage I've ever had. I'm not sure if they understand the difference between the services or they give all their clients the same kind of service but my body still aches the next day from the rough massage. It wasn't like a deep tissue massage, it was way deeper. It was not relaxing whatsoever, the hand movements were all off. I'm an esthetician and have worked with many LMT and have never experienced anything like this so I wouldn't recommend the massage services here. Had a great time Sun late afternoon. You need at least an hour outside of services minimum to enjoy all the options. It's women only - so there's hot rooms like salt (only 2 spots), clay (lots of spots), infrared sauna and negative ion room. There's also steam rooms another sauna and 3 pools varying temps (salt, alkaline). You should soak before your scrub so your skin mellows out. The scrub was great loved the hair washing and massage, massage was basic they went through the strokes vs targeting any of the areas. They pour warm water on you to keep you warm. The face mask smelled really good. Everyone gets their own table they call you by locker number but it's not privacy just shared room with tables. Lots of options nearby to eat - we did bon shabu. Great amenities. Quiet and relaxing. The spa entrance is in front of the parking lot and they validate for most the day which is super helpful. You only pay about $2 compared to $18 for a full day. Their website talks a lot about the packages but if you want to enjoy their amenities without a specific treatment that's also doable! I did that with my mom and spent about 3-4 hours going back and forth from the saunas, dry rooms, and jacuzzis. Definitely coming back. Came here for what I thought would be a relaxing day for a friend's birthday. Was yelled at by the staff as she demanded I end my v steam 10 mins early so she could do another add on purchase. Once I finally did the treatment the lady aggressively scraped me so angrily and hard I had to tell her to be more gentle. I was under a vent that was leaking on me the whole time during my treatment as well! I also noticed they don't clean the tables in between customers, all they do is throw water on the table & rinse. My first time at a Korean Spa and quite possibly the best spa experience Ive ever had in my life. My bestie and I planned a socal trip and last min our plans for the day got canceled so we were trying to figure out what to do. Incredibly, Spa LA had availability same day for two massages and we added V-steaming. We got there, took a quick shower, and they were ready to give us our services. The massage was great she really worked out all my knots. After our service was our 30-min V-steam where you sit on this almost toilet seat looking chair and get steamed with herbs. I think it truly works in regulating your cycle as I was on the tail end of it when I got this service and my cramps went away. After our steaming, they had a plethora of rooms to enjoy. Salt room, clay room, negative ion room, infra room, herbal steak room, meditation room, and 3 jacuzzis. The cool thing is the jacuzzis were even special with different healing properties as one had alkaline water, one had lemon water, and the last one may have been salt? I forget. We spent another two hours after our services just unwinding enjoying the different rooms. The only catch to this spa is, you do have to be naked. Yes, you are given a robe but when you get your massage you're asked to take it off and the lady doesn't leave the room. I kept my robe on in all the different rooms, but even the jacuzzi you need to be naked and will see other naked women. If you're not comfortable with that, this may not be for you (no you cannot use any bathing suits if you choose). But keep in mind this is a women only spa if that gives any peace of mind. read more

I have been to almost every Korean spa in Southern California and this one is hands down the best. It is the cleanest, best ambiance and best customer service. It's also all women so no shared space like other places. Also the center it's located in has such amazing food options so you could make an entire day of being in Koreatown, walking around, getting food and then spend a few hours at the spa. The whole point of going to the spa is to relax and rest. I made an appointment at 1:00 pm for a 3:00 pm Aphrodite 90 minute massage. I got there at 1:30 and confirmed my 3 PM appointment. Shortly after I got down to the lockers, an employee came up to me and said my appointment had been moved up to 2:20. I said the whole reason why I came earlier was to detox and sit in the dry sauna for awhile, but she said I would have to move my massage to a much later time if I didn't take the earlier time, so then I quickly sat in the dry sauna for a little bit, showered and waited for my massage at 2:20, then when no one showed up, I asked the same employee and she said they would be right out. By this time it is now 2:50, mind you, my original appointment was for 3:00, I tracked down another employee and checked by appointment and she said it had been moved to 3:20, and not 2:20. A bit disappointed with my recent experience. There were toe nails around the resting mats in the detox room and locker room. My massage therapist doesn't speak English and didn't understand to be gentle and my back and leg started to hurt. I told the front lady and she gave me a $10 discount for my next appointment. I just spent $178.25. I'll probably go someone else next time. I was also forced to pay a minimum 15% tip BEFORE my bad service. I would have never given that much for my bad experience. I've only been to one other Korean type spa and that was in Houston. I do like that this is an all-female spa so a great place to hang out with your girlfriends. I also liked that they have a numbering system to let you know what orders you should do each task. Our appointments were the last appointments on a Saturday night so it was pretty empty. The scrubbers did push us to do an earlier appointment 'cause I'm getting they wanted to get out of there! There were not curtains over every scrub bed so you can see the other person getting scrubbed, but I was at an angle so it's not like I saw the other person the entire time... mainly glimpsed. But hey, you're already walking around naked anyways so does it make a big difference? It's pretty dim in the scrub area, so you don't see too much. The Houston spa I've gone to gave you an option to do just a scrub. Here, you can only do a scrub with a massage. The massage was okay - it was the typical Asian massage. In my opinion, it's the rough type where they're trying to push and smack all your soreness and impurities out of your body. Some people enjoy that - I just enjoy my gentle Swedish massages. If I were in the LA area again, I wouldn't mind coming back - maybe I'll try their actual Swedish massages or facials next time. read more

For the scrub I was taken to a dimly lit scrub room so appropriate for relaxation. Suzie was phenomenal she scrub the dead skin away and asked if I was okay. The massage was sublime. I had a lot of knots in my neck and shoulders she dissolved them away. After my refreshing Vsteam I relaxed in the Himalayan salt room. The healing properties of this room are felt soon as you enter. After that you can have some more me time on mats or comfy sofas. There is spa etiquette which I found fabulous! I love the signs that suggest low conversation because hello you're trying to relax. I loved the pink robes, ORGANIC products! the areas with blow dryers, Lemon infused water and delightful tea. Also the lady who helped me in the steam room was very helpful and kind. They have two hot tubs with different minerals and a warm plunge pool. They have your usual hot rooms like Himalayan salt and clay hall room. I had a lot of fun in the Himalayan salt room and did a little photo shoot! Weekday price is $40 and weekend is $50. Very impressed. This was my first time at a Korean Spa and first here at this specific location, but it won't be my last! For $19.00 (Regular $25.00) on Groupon, you can access general admission for the various sauna rooms and jacuzzis. However, my girlfriend and I opted for the 70 minutes - Regular Scrub and Massage which exempts you from the entrance fee. Once we paid, we went downstairs to the spa room. We first showered and soaked in one of the bathes before our service. The masseuse then called us in. I had Joean, and my friend had Summer. I started on my tummy, and she scrubbed my back head to toe, then turned me both on my left and right sides, and ended with me on my back. Once the scrub was over, I showered and came back in. She put on a mask, massaged me, and lastly washed my hair. It was fabulous. I ended my visit by soaking in the various jacuzzis and then enjoyed the saunas, charcoal mud clay room, Himalayan salt room, infrared healing room, and negative ion balancing room. Update on my last review...so I s been at least a month or more since I visited Spa LA and it's really sad that they don't even care about the maintenance issues at hand! After getting my hand smashed by the large glass door that leads to the salt cave and loosing my thumb nail after a couple of days (very painful)! I called today 1-23-2022 again to see if the door had been fixed and Victoria the manager said "I believe it been fixed but I'm not sure, I haven't gone down to check". Wow! This is a very serious hazardous situation. Had the door come smashing down on an elderly person or someone smaller than myself they may have broken their hand or worse yet lost a finger! Please if you are visiting this Spa make sure you are very very careful with this door! It's a nice place and I was planning on returning but when you have a place Of business that simply doesn't care...it's not for me! The pain, the doctor bill, meds (because I got an infection) and band aid purchasing is adding up! It actually quite embarrassing and so atrocious looking I wear a band aid to cover the missing nail. Giving this place 2 stars for the following reasons: -Massage: paid for the Aphrodite's Massage ($185). Masseuse made me feel uncomfortable. Said I had to take everything off, including my underwear! I voiced I was uncomfortable and she insisted. She also left the door cracked open during my massage. You can hear people walking down the hallway while getting your massage. She also didn't have any music playing just the noise of a fan. The massage was decent but I felt uncomfortable so I did not fully enjoy it. -Amenities: Where poorly designed and not very clean. Himalayan room was a small, it was basically a hot room with a Himalayan salt wall with two thick towels on the floor that everyone uses. Mud-Clay room was just a bunch of hot rocks in sections you can lay on. It was just too hot and uncomfortable. Negative-Ions room was a small fresh room with automatic smells and one small water fountain while the other was broken. Bathrooms were small and the showers looked like a prison shower! Floors were very uneven, dirty and no privacy. This place looked depressing with a few pink things around to try and make it look better. -Ambiance: you can hear people talking the whole time. Using rooms took a while as they were small in capacity. -Parking: right across but they only validate up to $3 so you have to pay the rest. -Food/Drink: no food offered and the only thing they had to drink was room temperature water, a brewed hot tea, and coffee with no sweeteners, half-and-half or anything else. I went in late March on a Saturday morning. There is a parking structure right across from the spa. The spa provides parking validation so don't forget at the end of your trip! You are given a key to your locker and inside the locker there is one body towel, one hair towel, slippers, and a robe. The shower and pool areas were clean but very loud since it was a busy day. I got the "Precious Pearl" treatment. You must be completely nude for this! This was my first spa experience ever and Jung was the name of my therapist. She was amazing and made me feel very comfortable. After my treatment I went to relax in some of the saunas and common rooms provided. My only complaint about this spa is that the "Spa Voice" is not enforced. There were many groups of women talking loudly or friends chatting while in the saunas. That is the only downside of going when it's busy since it made it difficult to fully "relax". Besides that, I had a great experience and definitely want to go to this spa again. My best friend bought a Groupon admission for 2 for around $30, so this was our first spa date! There is a parking structure right behind the building that is $5 all day Saturday and Sunday, which is great for Ktown too. The business itself validates for parking under 3 hours though! There are around 10 rooms, I believe, and 2 of them are for additional charge. We were given a robe, one large and one small towel, and a locker key when we first walked in. You are required to take your shoes off once you enter the area and be naked for the saunas and robed for the dry spas. You start off showering and each room is labeled by "Step 1..." and so on. My favorites were the Steam Sauna (Step 3) and Charcoal Mud Clay Room (Step 4). We decided to end with the Jacuzzi instead of starting in it, which really relaxed us completely, I think. They have stocked Qtips, lotion, and hairdryers throughout, free WiFi, and complimentary water and tea. This was such a great experience and we spent about 2 hours here. I love Korean spas and the scrub. With Covid I barely got scrubbed due to all the restrictions but now I'm glad places are open. This location is small but I liked how there was not many people. When I was there for the 2 hours I maybe saw 5 other people which I was able to relax. Parking was easy in a structure where they share with a lot of business. With validation it was only $2 and up to 4 hours. They provided slippers, robe, towels and a face mask. Most places I've been never have provided slippers and I liked the cute pink robe, makes it easier for your V steam treatment lol. 3 pools to soak. The hottest saying 106 F had Himalayan salt which is to detox. Lol I could probably only stand 5 mins at a time but it says to dial only 10 mins at a time. The alkaline pool says 103 F is where I was mostly at. I think it said this pool was for energy. Last was the citrus pool at 95F. It was cooler. I didn't go in but just dipped my foot. The rooms. That help detoxify, reduce inflammation, increase immune system and such. Clay room and they had the clay balls here. Other places took out the clay balls. Himalayan salt room. Infrared light room. Jade which is the main room that leads to the other ones. Negative ion room which I used at the end since it was cooler. Sauna and steam room in the pool area. And there is a tea room to bring your water or tea at. Now for the scrub. You must shower before entering the pools and the cool thing they had curtains also in the scrub area. I just did the basic scrub and oh boy I'm always amazed what comes off lol. She did an awesome job and I left nice and clean and exfoliated. They have numerous treatments for you but I'm such a simple gal. You can get massages, v steam, etc. the sites lists what services they provide but please make an appointment. They provide lotion, ear buds and a hair dryer after your shower. So bring any additional things you may need. No restaurant inside but they did have oranges. And they had photo op areas set with a background. Overall I like that it wasn't crowded. I felt clean after my scrub and I liked hire their soaps and such had a nice aromatherapy smell. While my appt started on time, my two other friends ended up waiting an extra 30 mins or so before their treatments started. My friends were just told they were short staffed. Luckily I planned some wiggle room in terms of our dinner reservation after our spa day, but I would have been very upset having to wait. I feel like their reservation system needs to be adjusted so that everyone starts promptly. - This is a minor gripe, but I felt so weird being the ONLY korean person there. I love sweating out in the dry sauna and then pouring cold water over myself afterwards. The showers weren't that cold Would I come again? Maybe, but probably for a cheaper treatment. read more
