Space City was completely empty around 12:30pm and took a while to be acknowledged even though the two workers in the kitchen saw me. I came in because they sell pizza by the slice and noticed they offer 2 slices of any pizza and a drink for $6. There were no pizzas available in the display cases in the front but took about 5 mins for them to get 2 slices of pepperoni out. The pizza itself are large thin slices. I liked how the pizza toppings didn't slide off as you eat it. They also offer a large 2 topping carry out for $7.95 if you are sharing. read more

This place is Takeout/Delivery Only. If you're not that hungry they sell pizza by the slice. I didn't get any but they have cake and cookies. The people were friendly. I got the carnivore but forgot to say crisp which would have made it much better to me. If they do crisp, they might consider asking if you want that. Hands down, best pizza I had since moving down south. Best part of it all is that the meat is halal! It's a quaint little place with a really kind owner. We tried the Detroit style pizza, and let me tell you: it was amazing. The bottom of the crust was so crisp and crunchy where it hit the pan, and the rest was so pillowy. The cheese was layered on; seriously, it'd give the pizzerias in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise a run for their money. The sauce was a typical marinara: not too sweet, not too acidic. Pizza was very well balanced. Not too much sauce, or one ingredient overpowering another. Halal Seekh Kabob Pizza: Seekh meat, seasoned to perfection. Crust, always crisp. Talk about a rare gem. This place has fresh, hot calzones & marinara sauce on the side. I wanted to try this place but was always running errands. Today we tried an omnivore calzone. My son & i split one. It was that big (1/2a large pizza, I believe). It was fabulous. I missed calzone & today it was really good. We're planning to come back for more. We thought we would try space city given they had primarily positive reviews.However, our experience was different. The medium deep dish is the same size as a small pizza. That was not clear online. Additionally, the chicken tikka pizza had very minimal chicken on it and questionable flavor. Thinking that they had accidentally given us the wrong size for a deep dish, as well as the chicken tikka pizza not having much chicken (opposite of reviews), we called and spoke with the manager. She literally stated "that's how we do it." We tried to support this small business. Unfortunately, more important then the pizza issues, was the manager's lack of courtesy when we called. I've driven by Space city pizza hundreds of times on my way to 45 and finally decided to pop in recently to check it out. I thought it was a really nice pizza, more NY style than most places in the area, I liked the crisp yet not crunchy crust, the slice was nice and floppy (don't know how to describe it in a good way but I promise it is), and the toppings were definitely not just sitting out. If you're in a rush I'd recommend calling it in since I do think they make them fresh, which is a good thing in most situations. How has this place gone under my radar for over a year? The pizza here is absolutely phenomenal, sublime even -- fresh made pizza sauce, hand-made dough, and in-house made ranch. I had the Seekh Kabob, pepperoni, and chicken tikka pizzas. Spices of the seekh kabob came shining through, the pepperoni had developed nice crust and scrumptious pools of fat, and the chicken tikka was spicy & sufficiently meaty. This is my go to pizza spot. I haven't gone back to Dominos or Pizza Hut ever since trying Space City. The owner has a vast knowledge of pizza and South Asian flavors, and you can taste the brilliance of his expertise in every bite. We also ordered the chicken wings and I thought they were too salty, I kept chewing and not only did they taste like they had been brined waaaaaay to much they were borderline cured. I don't want that much SALTY goodness that I can only eat one. But other than that the pizza is very delicious and if you like clean ingredients try it out! You can taste the difference.... Grand opening was this past Wed and they were offering a free slice until 6 pm, as well as T-shirts. We got there at the tail end of the grand opening, so while I got a slice of chicken, it was a little dried out from sitting so long. No biggie, you cannot complain about something when it's free! This place is a must! We had a the Chicken Tikka and Seekh Kebab with beef and it was so fragrant and tasty. We came back and got a plain Chicken and jalapeno pie. They can do traditional recipes and they have a great new twist on what would be considered traditional recipes. Really break the mold on pizza places. Waited at my home for 35 minutes, which I live right across the street. Husband called trying to figure out where our delivery was and was placed on hold for 5 minutes. I decided to go ACROSS the street just to learn that delivery couldn't find us and tried calling several times (which was not truthful). Noted a cold pizza under a heat lamp that was not on. Delivery guy took 5 more minutes getting back to the pizza place. Got our pizza and the picture tells the ending. For being a brand new pizza place, not a good experience.
