My friend and I have seen this place many times coming off the highway and today was the first day we actually came. It was so worth it! Although we just missed happy hour, we got such a treat with Sina as our bartender and server. Her warmth and positive energy brightened my day. And the food was absolutely delicious! I loved the ambiance - the dim candlelight and the cushy chairs at the bar. Their happy hour menu is literally 50% off the price of the regular menu. We planned a special birthday dinner for my wife at Spaghettini in Seal Beach with our guests and were very disappointed. From the moment we arrived, we felt ignored by the hostess. Our waiter was inattentive and waiting 30 minutes he got our wine order wrong--despite clearly asking for a Cabernet Sauvignon, a white wine was brought out. He was not personable or accommodating, and even asking for water felt like an inconvenience. The wine glasses were cloudy and appeared unclean, and the restrooms were disgusting. Valet parking was advertised but unattended, and self-parking was extremely limited and frustrating. The only positives were the bread, which was delicious, and the restaurant manager, who was polite and accommodating by offering us another opportunity to revisit. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough to make up for what was supposed to be a memorable evening. Would not recommend based on this experience. read more

Came here one night for a medical presentation and I have to say, I was pretty impressed with the staff and food here. Parking: Private parking lot during the day and valet at night. You can either park on the street or across the street to avoid valet. Food: Menu choices were a pre-chosen set so not all of the menu I've come to realize may not be available on the regular menu. Bruschetta was okay for an appetizer, but nothing special here. Chicken bow tie pasta was very good and I'd get this again if it was availabe on the regular menu. Chicken wasn't dry for once,however, this was supposed to come with artichoke heart which I never found. Odd. Mini pot de creme was devine to eat. A small amount which was a good thing as it was very rich tasting. Summary: This place is very classy and the prices show it, but you get good quality. Food was very good. I came in a group of 10 on a Saturday evening with one person in our group being a regular at this upscale Italian restaurant on Seal Beach Blvd just north of the 405. It's just on the other side of the golf course at the Old Ranch Country Club, so I figured this would be a great hangout spot for golfers who want to enjoy some fine Italian cuisine after 18 holes there. Spaghettini is next to Kobe Steakhouse & Lounge, and this is where I need to mention the parking situation. The two share a lot, but some spots are reserved for Kobe customers while other spots are specifically for Spaghettini customers. It wasn't clear to me where they draw the line, and there was even someone out in the lot making sure that the cars parked closer to Kobe do belong to customers dining at Kobe. I arrived just before our reservation time of 5:30, and most of the unoccupied spots were for valet parking only. And that part of the lot was directly in front of the restaurant too. I didn't actually know about the valet parking until I exited my car and saw the vacant part of the lot closed off for valet. Besides valet, there were very few empty spots left, so I was super fortunate to have scored one of those last spots. Otherwise, I would have either had to do valet or park at a different lot on the other side of Old Ranch Parkway. Another concern I had was the dress code. I wasn't sure if it'd be okay to come in shorts and flip flops, or if men had to come in wearing a suit and tie. Shortly before I left, I saw on their website the attire is business casual, so I came in dressed like a golfer, including a hat. However, I did see someone dress more casually than me, so really, I think as long as you're not dressed like you just came from the beach on a hot summer day, you should be fine. The Yelp check-in offer is a free creme brulee, but it does mention the caveat of one per table. Though we all sat at one table, I felt tempted to propose to the group to split ourselves up into two tables just to get another complimentary creme brulee lol. It's a $14 dessert, so if you do have a second person in your group with the Yelp app on your phone, that may be an idea you want to try, or if you're good friends with the server like the regular in our group, the server may be nice enough to honor multiple times for the same table. Our group had confusion about the group size, which caused us to be initially seated at a smaller table, and we had thought about trying to squeeze everyone in until we got re-sat at a different table just a few feet away. I thought we'd get new cups and a table setting, but I didn't realize until one of the servers handed me my cup from the first table we were at. I was impressed he remembered with how many people were in the restaurant at the time! We shared a couple of pizzas and other starters. It took a while for everyone else to decide what to get, but I had my eyes set on the Wild Mushroom, Chicken, and Roasted Garlic Penne from the get-go thanks to one of my Yelp friends who had been here twice before and ordered that pasta dish both times. Service was kind of slow, but with so many people in our group and so many others enjoying the musical performance that night, I won't hold it against them that much. They gave us plenty of bread to munch on before the main course, and there were two types. One was like a soft focaccia, and the other was crispier, like a mini baguette. The butter worked well on both, and I thought it was pretty cool to try two different types of bread to evade monotony. The pizzas we got were Pepperoni and BBQ Chicken. They were so large that for an upscale Italian restaurant like this, $25 isn't too bad, but the flavors aren't too extravagant. The BBQ Chicken legit looked like cheese pizza with some garnish on top, so definitely don't judge a book by its cover here. The BBQ and chicken were hidden underneath the cheese. Both of the pizzas were pretty good, but I don't think they were that much better than California Pizza Kitchen, which is best known for their Original BBQ Chicken. The Wild Mushroom Pasta was pretty good! It's hard to say if it's really worth the $35 price tag, but it was infused with a great deal of flavor that I was okay with splurging this one time for one of the tastiest pasta dishes I've had to this day. The pasta was also pretty slippery that it took me a long time to eat that plate of pasta with just a fork. However, I regretted eating a lot of the starter bread and should have saved at least one of the softer ones to sop up all the remaining sauces that were left over upon conclusion of my main course. I ended up using a slice of BBQ Chicken Pizza to clean that plate, but it wasn't easy lol. Valet is $10, and you enter from Old Ranch Parkway. You can pay by cash or credit card. The attendants are very punctual; I even saw one literally do a 40-yard dash across the lot just to retrieve a car lol. Overall, not bad! Also, no, I don't golf lol read more

Their phone reservation system is a little bit wonky, so when we arrived, they didn't have a record of the reservation I had made, but after showing them the text confirmation I received it turns out the automated phone reservation. System had completely butchered my name. We had prompt And efficient service. Although one hiccup we had, our server forgot to put our appetizer order in so our entrées arrived before we received our appetizer, which we canceled without an issue. My coworkers each had the fillet and the corn risotto and said it was fabulous. I enjoyed the Seabass specialand shared the corn risotto as well. Will definitely return. read more

I was invited here for a work holiday dinner and I have t say this place was delicious! The portion sizes are great! The steak I had was so good and the cook was perfect. We also had the lobster tower or seafood tower and other small appetizers. Then dessert came and I ordered the Crème brûlée and wow that has to be one of the best that I've had in a while. Loved the service we all received. Our waiter was having to help other tables along with our huge party and he was still very tentative. We had a wonderful birthday dinner at Spaghettini. The Wednesday surf and turf special came with salad, mixed vegetables and scalloped potatoes. Wow! The steak and lobster were perfectly cooked and the scalloped potatoes were decadent! I loved every bite! My partner got the salmon which was perfectly cooked as well. Our waiter, Roberto, was funny and attentive (as was the other wait staff). Our meal ended with complimentary birthday cheesecakes which were delicious. The only downside was that our table overlooked the parking lot. I would definitely make sure to ask for a different table the next time we go. read more

My wife and I use Yelp a lot to pick restaurants for date night and this one was on our radar for a while now. We made the drive and right away the decor stood out to us. It was clean and classy. Open kitchen right away as you walk in. There was practically no wait and we were sat promptly. Our server Roberto introduced himself and walked us through the multiple menus. Since we were new to this place we took many of his recommendations and he really came through for us. Pommery shrimp was so tasty! He told us to dip the bread in the sauce, game changer! We ordered the pineapple coconut mojito and it was very refreshing! The seafood pasta is a must also! Lots of seafood in it! Definitely worth every penny. What an amazing experience, especially for those of us who are gluten free because they have such a good selection of gf items! We came here for my birthday and it was such a fantastic experience. We made a reservation for lunch and everything was so good! The Pommery Shrimp were tender and cooked perfectly and the sauce was to die for. I ordered the Short Ribs and it was one of the best meals I've ever had. The sweet corn risotto was my favorite and the carrots tasted so incredibly fresh. They also have gluten free bread (which is their cauliflower pizza crust) with marinara sauce which was such a treat because I rarely get to participate in the bread basket. I got a creme brûlée for dessert and it was out of this world. Not too sweet but creamy and absolutely delicious. It was our first time here and our waitress Terri was fabulous. She was kind and patient and so down to earth. The manager (I forgot his name) also came by with a sample appetizer and spritz because it was our first time there and made us feel so welcome. We will be coming back here for sure. Oh and pro tip- sign up for their free rewards program and they give you $50 for your birthday not to mention you earn points every time you go that also add up to a gift certificate. We had a 7pm reservation here for Valentines day. The parking lot area was absolutely packed, even the valet was backed up. We ended up parking in the additional parking at the offices that was right across the street. It was a short walk to the restaurant so we were fine with parking there. When we got to the front of the restaurant it was super crowded, but I was able to check in and we waited outside on a surprisingly comfortable bench. The garden out front was really pleasant. We didn't have to wait too long for our table, probably less than ten minutes. We were seated by a bussing station which was behind some double doors so it was quite busy around us most of the night. Our waiter Eddy was super nice and accommodating. To drink I got their blueberry mocktail and my boyfriend ordered a nice glass of wine. My mocktail was really good, the blueberry flavor was very prominent. For our appetizer we ordered the shrimp that came with a mustard cheese sauce. It was delicious and great to dip our bread in. The shrimp was pretty big and went really well with the sauce. For our entrees I ordered the pappardelle bolognese and my boyfriend chose the chicken parmesan which was served with spaghetti. Eddy kept checking in with us and told us that we would get our entrees soon. Our main dishes came out at the same time and we both got some extra freshly grated parmesan to top them off. My noodles were thick and had a good bite to them. The bolognese was super meaty and flavorful. I also liked the addition of house-made ricotta, which was light and creamy. I tried some of my boyfriend's chicken parm as well and it was very tasty. The chicken was super tender. For dessert we just settled with some cappuccinos, it came with a cube of sugar and a lot of milky foam. The cappuccinos were very comforting and a great end to our Valentines day meal.
