We ended up ordering the string beans, chili oil wontons, pan fried dumplings, pork belly noodle soup, chicken chow fun, and spicy soup pork dumplings. The portions were a great size and this was more than enough food to share with the table. I got take out from this place today. I ordered for 4 people. The portion sizes are pretty generous so I think it was exactly the right amount of food for maybe 5 people actually. Here's the dishes I ordered 1. Chicken fried rice - very good balance of chicken and rice. 2. Mongolian beef - really well made, not too spicy 3. Red chilli pepper chicken - numbing spice so kept it medium but it still has a kick so be careful 4. Chow fun - well made but I wish they added more veggies to it! The total was 90 bucks for these 4 dishes without tip! I was hoping it'd be a little less so I hope they have some specials in the future! Ordered online for the steamed chicken soup dumplings. My daughter and i really wanted to try these soup dumplings that we've seen becoming very popular and we definitely picked a great place! Right when I walked in I was acknowledged right away and the ladies were really nice and knew I was there for pick up. Restaurant is nice and clean inside. The dumplings were delicious, lots of flavor and great texture. The sauce they give has a nice tang to it, i think this would taste really good with some chili oil. Visited this Special Noodle location near dinner time on a weekday. Wasn't busy at all when we came in so the ambiance felt very peaceful and we got to sit wherever we wanted. Before you order thru the QR code, they do warn you about how hot their food is and I advise you to take that into consideration as well. They make the food on the spot so it's fresh and steaming hot. At that point, I couldn't tell if it was the heat or spice lol. The stone pot was cooked in front of us which was cool to watch and entertaining. I liked the stone pot noodle soup but it did have a little kick to it. Ultimately, we enjoyed our experience here and highly recommend the pan fried XLB. I also suggest ordering a cooling dish to balance the heat, and which in this case we opted in ordering the cucumber salad. I'm so glad I discovered 四姐 Special Noodle! It's not easy to find real Northeastern (Dongbei) Chinese food in the Bay Area, and this place truly hits the spot. We ordered Di San Xian, Beef Roll Pancake, and Liu Rou Duan, and every dish was excellent: * Di San Xian (stir-fried potato, eggplant, and green pepper) was perfectly cooked -- tender, savory, and full of flavor without being greasy. Classic and very comforting. * Beef Roll Pancake was crispy and flaky on the outside, with flavorful beef and fresh herbs inside. Super satisfying and well balanced. * Liu Rou Duan was a standout -- crispy on the outside, juicy inside, with a perfectly balanced sweet-and-sour sauce (not overly sweet like Americanized versions). The flavors are very authentic and feel truly home-style. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and you can tell the food is made with care. Service was friendly and efficient as well. The pork was nice and tender and there were plenty of jalapeño pieces to add flavor. It was a little bit spicy, for those sensitive. Ok: Beef wrap - this is my favorite thing to get at Taiwanese restaurants and I heard this one is good. The green onion pancake was delicious and cooked well, but this one was definitely short on beef. The inside was mostly lettuce! If there were more beef this would have definitely been a solid item.
