超級好吃 第一次來這裡感覺像回家了、味道跟在台灣的一模一樣。 價格實惠店員親切熱情。 A great place to visit. Awesome food. Super authentic.

Appetizer Combo.

Taiwanese restaurants always, to me at least, represent and appear to be at a crossroad between a boba cafe and a casual restaurant cafe. It's never one or the other but both due to their menu offerings and restaurant decor. Taipei Station was no different. It's fun. The food was classically Taiwanese. Their pork belly Lu Rou Fan was great! Their appetizer combo was large and a step above your boba shop popcorn chicken. The clay pot intestines, a bit too much ginger, but otherwise very good. The service, nice and secretly willing to help more than the expressionless faces would give off. Plenty of parking, open lot.

Food: The bitter gourd with salted egg was the highlight of the meal. It was cooked to the right crisp texture, without being overly bitter or salty. A bit more wok hei (wok aroma) would have elevated the dish further. Ambience: The restaurant had Taiwanese TV shows playing in the background, accompanied by Cantonese music, creating a casual and familiar atmosphere. Service: Service was disappointing. Staff were chatting loudly among themselves, there was no greeting upon arrival, and no one checked on our table during the meal. The restroom also appeared neglected and could benefit from a thorough cleaning. Overall: The bitter gourd with salted egg was well executed, but the lack of attentive service and cleanliness issues detracted from the overall dining experience.

First time checking out this restaurant and we ordered a nice mix of dishes -- the satay beef with Brie, stir‑fried pork jowl, steamed sea bass, and their crispy shrimp cake, which they call the "mooncake." The space inside is pretty spacious and the menu has some interesting, unique dishes that make it worth exploring. Overall a fun first visit with a few standout bites. Service is good and quick.

Tried out this place for weekend lunch and got their braised pork rice (lu ruo fan) and satay beef noodles with a lychee fruit tea. Food was good and had a nice authentic taste to them, came out pretty fast after ordering as well. Large portion sizes perfect for sharing among others and/or takeout. Place wasn't completely full but was about 80% full the entire time I was there for a big floor - lots of visitors and no waiting time :) Service is average and a calm spacious ambiance. Staff seemed to be bilingual.

Solid Hits with a Few Misses Braised pork rice - flavorful Three cups chicken - aromatic and well-balanced sesame oil and gingers. Stir-fried water spinach - meh... too many hard-to-chew stems, not enough green leaves, felt overly fibrous. Sizzling hot plate beef - beef slices were tender and tasty, but it arrived without any sizzle Milk tea - decent, nothing special Overall: The braised pork rice and three cups chicken were the stars. Worth trying, wish the hot plate actually sizzles!

Taiwanese dishes to try. This is totally new to me I liked the shrimp egg omelette, good taste! I tried the spicy beef and onion dish (you'll eat to order rice with this). And cabbage with little shrimps Lots of table seating inside Mandarin music

Pretty busy on a Saturday evening, but my party of 5 was seated right away. Bustling environment inside. Clean and spacious. We shared 7 dishes in total: braised pork rice, Taiwanese sausage fried rice, sizzling tofu with black pepper sauce, beef fried noodle in satay sauce, stir fried water spinach in garlic sauce, fried combo, and stir fried pork jowl with green onion. Food came pretty quickly - fried combo came out near the end which I felt like should've been one of the first since it's listed under appetizer. My favorites were the braised pork rice due to the tender fatty pork, beef fried noodle in satay sauce due to the noodle consistency, and stir fried pork jowl due to the flavorful sauce and toppings. I'd get all 3 of these dishes again! The rest of the dishes were solid too, but didn't stand out to me as much. It was pretty difficult to flag down the employees at times, but it was quite busy so it's understandable. Overall, solid Taiwanese food and I'd come back if in the area!

Went to Taipei Station and honestly this place surprised me in the best way. The food was so fresh and really authentic Taiwanese, the kind that actually reminds you of eating in Taiwan rather than the Americanized versions you usually find. Everything we ordered tasted super flavorful and well made. You can tell they care about the ingredients and the preparation. It had that comforting, home-style Taiwanese flavor that's hard to find unless you're actually in Taiwan. The ambiance was really nice too. They had live Chinese music playing which made the whole experience feel more special and relaxing without being too loud. It created a really cozy vibe while eating. I'll definitely be bringing my father-in-law next time he visits since he's from Taiwan, and I feel like this is one of those spots that would actually impress someone who grew up with the cuisine. Overall just a great spot if you want authentic Taiwanese food, fresh flavors, and a chill atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming back!

I love Taiwanese food, so with the 4.7-star rating, my wife and I came in with high expectations. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. We first wanted to order the "dred" (dried?) shrimp fried rice, but the person taking our order simply told us they didn't have it, without any explanation or apology. While we were still trying to decide what else to order (maybe 2-3 seconds), he quickly said, "Let me know when you're ready," and walked away. He didn't seem busy; he was just standing nearby and talking briefly with another server. It made us feel like we were wasting his time. We ended up ordering Taiwanese sausage fried rice, baked egg with pickled radish, and three-cup pork intestine. The fried rice was okay, but the Taiwanese sausage didn't really taste like the Taiwanese sausage I'm used to. It was too moist and didn't have that grilled flavor. The egg lacked presentation and wasn't as salty or flavorful as expected. The intestine tasted okay, but it was oily and a bit on the hard side. Overall, the food was just okay, but the service and atmosphere were what really stood out in a negative way. For a Taiwanese restaurant, the staff didn't give off the warm, friendly feeling that many Taiwanese restaurants usually have. Nobody smiled or made us feel welcome. My wife said it best: they won't have many returning customers Also, shortly after we left, both of us started having stomach discomfort and later had diarrhea. I can't say for sure whether it was from the food, but it definitely made the overall experience worse. It's too bad because I really wanted to like this place, but based on this visit, we probably won't be returning.

We came here to get lunch because we were in the area. This is one of the most authentic Taiwanese restaurants in the Bay Area. The portions of the dishes are pretty good, but the price of some of their special dishes are on the high side. Overall we are pretty happy with our meal.

S4. Vegetable Tofu Soup (one serving)

I was looking for sit-down restaurant more suitable for my parents and gave them three options to choose from. From group vote, we landed on giving Taipei Station a try. None of us has tried this before, but the food photos on Yelp looked appetizing. We arrived just before 12PM for lunch and the restaurant was maybe about half full already. It's a big space with many tables. Below was what we ordered for our group of five: - S4. Vegetable Tofu Soup (small): There's two sizes for this. A small size serves about 4 people which was fine for us. This was comforting and quite honestly soul nourishing, haha. It's simple, delicious, and really rejuvenating after a hike. This was a great start. - SF12. Stir Fried Silk Squash with Clams: I wasn't sure what silk squash was until the dish actually came. It's not my favorite squash, but it went really well with the soup. The thing I don't like about this squash is that the outer layer tends to be really crunchy, but the inside is a little slimey. But for this dish, they shaved off enough of the outer layer so that the squash is more uniform in texture - soft. I guess they stir fry the ingredients before putting it in a clam soup base. It was simple, healthy, and probably one of the dishes my elderly parents liked. - M11. Stir Fried Lamb with Bamboo Shoot: I don't think I got to enjoy much of this just because there was a lot of other food on the table and this was the furthest dish from me. But what I do remember is that both the lamb pieces and bamboo shoots were tender. The mix of aromatics made the other ingredients very flavorful. Even though it's indicated as spicy, it's really mild and tolerable. - SB3. Three Cup Chicken: This dish took the longest to come out from the kitchen, but it was wow. The amount of ginger and garlic in here is insane, but you get a lot of flavor with every bite. The chicken pieces were tender and flavorful and the garlic cloves, which were left as entire cloves got really soft. Soft, flavorful garlic is delicious. The chicken that gets submerged to the bottom does get pretty oily though so just be aware of that. I'm inspired to add more aromatics to my own homemade dishes, haha. - V8. Stir Fried Green Beans in Garlic Sauce: This was a good stir fry dish! Plenty of garlic, and there was a good 'wok hey' to it! - N1. Chicken Fried Noodle in Satay Sauce: The thing I noticed about this dish is that the chicken pieces were lacking flavor. It might help to marinate it a bit more or cut the chicken pieces smaller. Even though the ingredients were well mixed with the satay sauce, it didn't quite get to the chicken pieces. On the other hand though, the noodles were wow! The satay sauce clings on the noodles and I love the choice of thin flat noodles too. My dad mentioned there could be a little less meat and a little more noodles for better proportion, and I might have to agree with that. This experience was quite pleasant! I'm pleased that such a good Taiwanese restaurant is around the area. We may have found it randomly, but we all came out happy. Service was pleasant and food came out so quick! This area is a little far from us, but we may have to come back for the signature Braised Pork Rice!

The service was quick and attentive, and the restaurant itself was nicely decorated. The best thing we ordered was the Sizzling Yellow Croaker with Fried Garlics (9/10). The fish was super crispy, and the sweet, garlicky skin was incredibly addictive. I would 100% order this every time I come back. We also had the Shredded Cabbage with Sliced Pork (8/10), which was nice and tangy. The cabbage soaked up all the sauce, making every bite packed with flavor, while the pork provided a great contrast to the vegetables. The House Special Fried Rice with Pickle & Beef (7/10) wasn't anything extraordinary, but it served as a great base alongside the other dishes. The pickles were an interesting addition, as I've never had fried rice prepared that way before, but I definitely enjoyed it. Finally, we decided to try the House Special Spicy Frog in Stone Pot (6.5/10) since most of us had never had frog before. The flavor was outstanding, with a great umami depth and just the right amount of spice. The frog itself was a little difficult to eat because of the large number of bones, but the meat was tender and juicy. Replacing the frog with another protein probably would have made it more favorable, but I still enjoyed trying something new and didn't regret ordering it. Overall, Ping's Bistro is a great spot for outstanding Chinese food. Every dish we tried was enjoyable, and there are still so many items on the menu I'd love to come back and explore. The prices are on the higher side, but the quality and flavor make up for it. I'll definitely be back.

If I were to sum up my meal in one word, I can do it easily: salty. Every dish I've tried today was…read moreincredibly salty. Though I prefer my food a little bit more flavorful, Ping's Bistro really shot every single flavor up. The Steamed pork belly with preserved vegetables was served first, and without a doubt, is one of the spiciest. It's a good size for sharing, but the preserved vegetables on the bottom was mushy and came in a very small portion. Though supposed to be a part of the dish, seemed to be thrown in just for some extra flavor. Though I selected mild spiciness for the Spicy Boiled Fish, it was still REALLY spicy. Maybe it's my spice intolerance, but this dish lights a fire in your mouth. Also, this dish is mala, so it numbs your mouth. Some people may enjoy this sensation, but it's a pass for me. The fish was really soft and tender though. The fish was my favorite part of the Spicy Boiled Fish. Not only there is fish underneath, it was surprising to see other ingredients like lotus, vermicelli noodles, and much more. The salted egg covered pork was extremely salty and oily. I was surprised to know it was boneless, and I felt like the salted egg crust is too thin, which let the taste of the pork overthrow any type of salted egg taste. The Country Style Sautéed Pork with Eggs and Black Fungus was again one of my preferred dishes, though it was extremely oily. I really liked the egg, black fungus, and bell peppers in this dish. The eggs and black fungus were soaked with flavor and the bell peppers balanced out the heaviness. The pork was also alright, but more on the tougher side. If you were to come to Ping's Bistro, I would advise you to order the Country Style Sautéed Pork with Eggs and Black Fungus. The floors were really sticky, but other than that, everything was alright. The water was poured messily, but I guess it's no big thing. The staff were really quiet and avoided interaction. When they serve your dish, they never wait an extra second before they leave for any questions or requests. They just drop the dish and zoom away. From my review, just remember: saltiness. I'm not convinced that I'll come back again, but I'm glad I tried it out.

When you enter and get seated, you will be prompted to go on the url code at the table to pick your items. While I understand that this is the new way for restaurants to serve guests post-covid, the vast menu items you have to scroll through makes me long for physical menus of the past - but that's just my boomer take for the day. There were a bunch of other items like rice and noodle dishes that looked interesting to pair with the meats, but we were only craving bbq so we skipped out on the carbs. We ordered a BUNCH of skewers, from the standard beef, lamb, pork belly to chicken skin and a fried quail. All of the skewers had the same type of dried chili powder spice seasoning mix so unfortunately there wasn't too much of a diversity in flavor profile but on the flip side, it allowed us to focus more on enjoying the meat quality itself (this is where rice or noodles would definitely help cut through the richness). All of the meats were incredibly well-cooked and charred. It is on the drier side, so be aware if you are looking for a juicier, plumper cut of meat that some other restaurants have. Paired with the Chinese vinegar, soy sauce, and chili oil, they were super delectable. My personal favorites were the pork belly, chicken skin, and beef. We had some leftovers to go and the staff provided us some extra sauce to go so that's a big plus. We started with the One Piece Mixed Salad (tofu skin, vermicelli noodles, woodear mushrooms, carrots, celery, seaweed, and peanuts, all mixed in a savory, acidic, and spicy dressed ) and the Shredded Potato Salad, both of which made for nice appetizers. We also had the Cold Skin Noodles (Liangpi), a bowl of wide, chewy noodles mixed with a savory sauce and topped with tofu puffs, shredded cucumber , bean sprouts, and a creamy sesame sauce. Hailing from Xi'an, the Braised Pork Pita Burger was fatty pieces of pork braised in a savory sauce, served in a dry round of "pita," but even better was the Spicy Cumin Lamb Pita Burger, which contained a tantalizingly spicy, flavorful filling of tender spiced lamb. The Signature Beef Bone Noodle Soup came with noodles in a simple broth, topped with three bone-in beef ribs. The meat on the ribs was rather tough and sinewy, and the soup on the bland side, but the presentation of the dish was definitely impressive. Finally, the House Special Braised Dry Noodle was a bowl of noodles topped with a savory sauce with lots of different dried ingredients including tofu, s mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, and red bell peppers. For each noodle dish, you could select from a variety of noodles, but my favorite by far was the 2cm "General Wide" noodles, which had an amazing chewy texture. I love the el dente texture of the noodles giving it a bit of chew. My braised pork belly dry noodles was not dry... very watery which was not to my liking. I want my dry noodles with as little gravy as possible. The flavor was light despite all the gravy, but the veggies and one egg made it up. The house special dry noodles had just the right amount of gravy for taste but not enough ingredients. I was wondering why the restaurant is called One Piece... I guess the entire bowl of noodles is one piece noodle as it was hard to eat as all the noodles are tangled. No complaints here just need to be careful with the splashes on your shirt.
