Amazing cleaning service! We were looking for a consistent bi-weekly cleaning of our apartment and after research, and quotes from multiple companies. We decided to try spectacular housekeeping first. I have slight OCD with my house and always want it clean and perfect but with a full time job, a chronic illness and trying to have a social life. Doing it all was really wearing me out. The first cleaning I was blown away when I got home from work. Things that are usually missed like the corners of the ceiling and vacuuming the couch were done perfectly! We have now had our house cleaned by them multiple times and it has been wonderfully done every time. They are also very responsive, not only did I have to cancel one week due to an unexpected schedule change but that schedule change will be lasting months so I also needed to change our regular cleaning day to another day. Olivia is the owner of this mighty cleaning service company. She and Erica did one fabulous job! Had to clean and get rid of massive clutter for the Chinese new year at home and they organized, cleaned thoroughly, and made home look wonderful! I can actually see what I needed to sort out instead of a scattered mind for my room. It was a good feeling to welcome the rooster new year with a clean house. It was an understandable all day's work. Their $90 rate per hour is reasonable and worth it. 2 people for cleaning crew and sometimes the home just needs a third party perspective to throw away stuff and not hoard. It was great and prevented conflict with my opinionated sisters on what to touch and not. Trustworthy crew as well. We left a lot of valuables (wedding rings, cash, material brand named purses and etc.) that was uncovered in the clutter and they just put it away or sorted it out accordingly. BEST CLEANING SERVICE! I called Spectacular Housekeeping to clean my 5 bd/2br house during my 30 day notice. Although I forgot their names, the employees did an outstanding job and in addition, my landlord gave my cleaning deposit in return. They mopped our floors, removed our wall stains, vacuumed our carpet/couches, wiped our mirrors/windows and our kitchen looked better than when we moved in. The ladies that cleaned my apartment just left and I was so impressed with their work and what they accomplished in only two hours! I wish the receipt said their names so I could give them a shout-out. Before they started, they confirmed how many hours I wanted done and what to focus on, but they really exceeded my expectations. In the kitchen I just asked for the stovetop/counters to be wiped down, but opened the cabinets to find they even re-stacked our Tupperware! The apartment looks as good as when we'd just moved in. After a month of construction all I dreamt about was a dust free home and they delivered. I needed a one-time deep clean. The team was excellent and did waaaay better than I would have done. I called this company and was thankful they were able to send someone out two days later. I was desperate I thanked them a million times on the phone and was thankful she was going to send out three people for this job. Because she was sending out three people it was going to be $95/hr, rather than $90 for two people. I was moving into an older home and needed it DEEP and detail cleaned. It had combwebs, lots of dust, a couple bags of trash, and needed a good clean. I cant emphasize to you to you enough, how much I emohasized to them how dirty it was and how clean I wanted it. I honestly probably came off as annoying and exaggerated, but I wanted them to know before they came that this is a huge job and that I am going to be really serious on how clean I want it. I said to them I dont care how long you work or how much you want! I will pay you for your time if it is great work!! So they came and it was only two girls.... I asked about the price and she said no its $95 for us. I said okay, whatever. I did a walk thru and explained everything to be cleaned; a VERY deep clean in all of the cabinets, corners of the house, cobwebs, wipe down walls to be painted, shelves, closets, behind washer dryer, a good floor cleaning and scrub, etc. I wanted an emphasis and deep clean on all of those and cleaning the sinks and basic crap to be last if need be. I left for almost the entirety, which maybe was my mistake? They got the cobwebs, the majority of them, and did a very basic wipe down of everything. everything i touched literally had a layer of dirt behind..... all of the stairs and baseboards still had dirt on them, i walked into a bathroom and it had been untouched every corner of th house had dirt.... I wiped my hand on the kitchen counter and all of the cabinets and had dirt on my hands.... They definetly didnt wipe down the walls and everything they did dust or clean its like they did it once and just left it be. I came back about 6 1/2 hours in, and noticed all of these things and said something, everything. She said the other girl did the first floor and that she would re-check her work and be done by 8 (7 hours of work) and that she would also do all the cobwebs, dust the fan, wipe down the walls and sweep the other room.... I said please dont rush, I would love to hire you as full time cleaners so please clean it as if it was your home and so its easy and spotless for you to clean once a week. please dont rush. she said okay, smiled and said it would be done by 8.... So I came back, still basically the same shit. They detail cleaned a few of the things I said like behind the washer and dryer and the one living room light fixture, she detail cleaned the shower door... got the cobwebs and did a basic wipe down of my home. They didnt clean toilets. or the doorknobs. she said "the only thing i couldn't clean was the light fixtures in a hard to reach area. when she left i took a swiffer and literally wiped them with three swiffThe spare room, didnt even get the cobwebs... they barely swept the room. I went over my house when they left and found all of this left behind...... I'm sorry, but this is ridiculous and yeah I'm pissed. This is not at all worth $665 + $20 tip each. I'm sorry but its bullshit. I feel taken advantage of when I layed out the circumstances repeatedly, so nice and offered to pay for great service. read more

These guys did an amazing job. I needed a small studio apartment cleaned before moving out, and they totally transformed my place into a brand new apartment. The kitchen and bathroom especially needed a deep cleaning, and they did an amazing job. No remnants of dirt left behind at all. In fact, the kitchen and bathroom were left white and sparkling. Spectacular Housekeeping is aptly named - their service is SPECTACULAR. I used Spectacular Housekeeping for about 15 months while living in Emeryville. The company was easy to work with and the cleaning was consistently excellent, thorough, and detailed, whether I had cleaners coming in monthly or every two weeks. I particularly appreciated that the owner was willing to perform a move-out cleaning in the middle of the shelter-in-place order in the spring of 2020 - safely with no contact. As with the other cleanings, the move-out cleaning was perfect. After meeting the cleaners for several cleanings, I provided Spectacular Housekeeping with keys and a card key for the parking garage. I found the folks who answer the phone to be very responsive and helpful! While the cleaners did a reasonably good job of cleaning (not outstanding) when I contacted the business to point out what they neglected (rug had bits of dirt), they made sure to send the staff right back out to rectify the problem at a time that worked for me. They brought their own equipment and supplies and were responsive to my request that they not use strong chemicals. Best cleaning service I've ever used, and I've used quite a few. The ladies are THOROUGH. I have a fairly fancy stove with all these cast-iron pieces to take off, and it's thoroughly cleaned every time. They clean inside the microwave and wipe out the fridge shelves. They change the sheets on the bed. It isn't the cheapest service out there, but I'm not interested in paying somebody to run the vacuum cleaner around. I want it all-the-way clean, and that's what they do. They are also completely reliable. Show up every week at the appointed time. Very satisfied. read more

I am sad to have to leave this review, but I had a terrible experience with this company. I had them come out to give me an estimate and we agreed on a price for a weekly cleaning as well as a schedule. They told me that the first time I would have to pay for a deep cleaning but then after that I would have the weekly price. The deep cleaning was extremely expensive... it was $600. I was OK with it because they were going to do a weekly cleaning for a half that price which seemed like a fair price. However my place had been professionally cleaned a week prior so I know it wasn't that dirty. After they finished that cleaning and I paid for it I asked them when they were going to come back and they didn't get back to me. After I sent multiple messages to the office they finally told me that they don't have availability on Mondays. They declined to provide me with other availability. I think they like to lure people in with the promise of a low price for a weekly cleaning but then what they actually do is have everyone do a deep cleaning and then ghost on them. That way they can make twice as much by continuing to do deep cleanings. It's incredibly dishonest and I wish I had known better than to hire them. read more

Spectacular Housekeeping deserves all five stars! I let them know that I was looking for a deep clean and hired two people for two hours for my one bedroom 1,200 square foot apartment. They arrived on time and clarified that I wanted a deep clean. The two cleaners were wonderful, asked all the right questions, and did not rush through the cleaning. They were also flexible and were able to stay longer than 2 hours in order to do a proper deep clean. I was thankful and surprised that they took the time to get rid of all the cobwebs, throw out trash for us and even did a great job organizing some problem areas we had! When they were done cleaning they were adamant that I look over all their work so they could fix anything if needed.
