The absolute worst company in terms of customer service. THEY TAKE ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSIBILITY ANY OF THEIR MISTAKES OR THE HORRIBLE WAY THEY DO BUISNESS. Heaven forbid you expect accurate information about your account. I have been given complete and inexcusable wrong information by their reps several times. And they have wrongfully disconnected me twice because of it. Then you call them to find out why you're disconnected and send them the screenshots of what the reps told you but nope all they can say is I am sorry you were told that but there's nothing we can do. They raised my monthly bill more than 150 dollars a month for a total of about 290 every month. Even though I was told by the sales team that my 140 rate was permanent. But guess what they had to say when I called "Sorry you were told that but there's nothing else we can do". They charged me for months for equipment I didn't have but didn't refund one penny of what they took. They don't care about you as a customer and don't care if you leave they are more than happy to help cancel service but can't help with anything else. read more

Worst experience ever. We've been waiting for someone to come since 8 AM this morning to fix our internet. It is now 4 PM. We've called them five times and each time they told us that it would be a 45 minute wait. No one ever reached out to us to let us know that they would be late. Our internet went out so we called and they sent a tech out. He said our internet was down because there were trees on the wires but he couldn't do anything about it so we needed to call the city to come out and take care of it. Well after months of going back and forth with the city, we finally got the trees off the wires! Now we're calling to reactivate our services and Spectrum is saying they won't credit us for the time we were paying and receiving no service because there's no proof that we weren't receiving service. Even though the technician notes said the internet wasn't working because of the trees!! The supervisor literally told me that our loyalty to the company didn't matter at all, there's nothing they can do. read more

UPDATE to 08/04 review... Attempted to resolve my issue with TWC, but after the 3rd attempt without a call back, reached out to the BBB and hit TWITTER. BBB didn't do anything because TWC pays them a fee in order to get the "A" rating. Called to cancel 8/17 and here's another doozzy (sp). The so called retention agent said it'll take 48 hrs. to cancel (19th). I don't know if I should laugh or cry. If this isn't shady, then I don't know what is. Really can't get any better! read more

When we moved to San Antonio 2 years ago Time Warner was our only option, and we have been waiting impatiently for another service to move into our area. Time Warner....ugh, their "fast' internet speed is incredibly slow, too many dropped programs and talking to cable 'experts' in India is absolutely NO fun. Can I give negative stars on this review? Am turning in my hardware and all I need to do is drop it off. It's 2pm on a Friday afternoon. There are 26 people in a line wrapped around their store floor and only 3 windows open to assist customers. There are 15 people with hardware returns but there is not a dedicated drop off for these customers. Wouldn't it make sense to create lines for these various customer types? I mean come on Time Warner, you have TWO dedicated desks to accept payments but not anything for people with other services needed. Why would you right? I mean making sure you get your payments is FAR MORE IMPORTANT than actually providing overall good customer service. But I'm not shocked because overall you customer service has always sucked. We closed it 7-25-19 because we moved into an area without cable access; when we closed it the person said we were all done. Later we got a bill for $181.54 for service from 7-20-19 to 8-19-19. When I called to ask why they said, sorry, you were on a subscription service so you owe for the whole month regardless of whether you had closed it or not. I closed my account and got a final bill with a letter saying it was taken care of through autopay as it had been for the past 20 months. I then get a bill two weeks later from collections for the amount. Time Warner Cable has no idea why this happened but it doesn't help my credit. I then get another letter from a collections agency a month later for five dollars. I call back TWC and they can't find my account but yet have no issue sending me bills and cancelling my autopay after sending me letters stating my bill was paid for through autopay. up until recently I've always had good experiences with time warner cable, but now, not so much. Took them 3 tries to get my internet upgraded. Didn't deliver on promises of a supervisor and technician after the first botched job. Now my mobile hot spot broke after 4 weeks of use and it will take them 5 business days to get me a new one. Not only did I have to pay for this equipment up front, but I am paying for insurance monthly, and I paid to have the original overnighted. But apparently warranty replacements don't have this option. Retentions is promising me some credits, but I'd really just like to have a hotspot here tomorrow.... read more

Installation June 25 - paid about $48 Used 2 different Apple wireless routers.Tried every configuration possible. Can only connect to internet if computer is directly plugged into router.Decided to buy a network switch to connect cable modem to wireless router. Called support. was told to bring modem back. Got new replacement modem 6/27. Still didn't work after numerous attempts. Called customer service and asked if I can get TWC wifi. I was told to just go back to the store and pick up the wireless router. Unfortunately, because of road construction, the trip to the TWC store that would normally take 30 minutes roundtrip took 2.5 hours. And I was told I have to come back to bring the other modem (the customer service rep on the phone did not tell me this). I got home and installed the TWC Wi-Fi app from the CD that came with the wireless router. Kept getting an error message saying "Could not properly". After a while, I realized that the app is not compatible with the latest version of Mac OS X, which I have on all my Macs except for one. I took that old desktop and ran the TWC wifi setup app. Now the app was looking for a wireless adapter, which it didn't have. I had to go to Best Buy to buy a wireless adapter. Then it said that it could not proceed with the setup because I was still logged in. I called support again and after 30 minutes on the phone, I was told that they could not resolve the problem until after a technician goes onsite. I was then asked if I knew of a service appointment scheduled for 6/29. I told tech support that nobody told me about any service appointment. Tech support told me that someone would come to fix the problem sometime from 8am-11pm. I was told that the technician would call me as soon as the problem is fixed. I asked if I could just give the other modem to the technician to save me a trip back to the TWC store. I was told it it would be OK and asked for my contact number. On 6/29, I waited but no call came. At about 6pm, I connected my wireless router to the TWC wireless router and finally got internet access. But nobody called me and nobody stopped by to pick up the other modem. So now I spent $48 for installation that did not work, $70 on equipment I shouldn't have to buy, 12 hours of my time not counting the third trip I need to make to the TWC store. P.S. I tried changing my email address to timewarnercablesucks@gmail.com, but that was already taken. read more

When returning equipment, make sure to get a receipt. Currently, I'm in the process of disputing a charge for equipment I returned at this location. Now, I'm in an frustrating, unnecessary conversation with TWC to remove the charge, even though their system shows that I returned the equipment. Internet service was good. Customer service was bad. They are HORRIBLE at supporting TIVO, especially if you insist on using Cable Cards, instead of their cable boxes. DO not order any kind of special packages if you have a cable card. I received a mailer from Time Warner for Internet 100Mbps / TV / Home Phone @ 89.99. I really wanted to give my business to them. I called to understand the deal, and when you get done with equipment and broadcast service, it is actually 171,xx NOT 89.99. I wanted to understand why is was almost twice the advertised price. They said they had to add the broadcast fee, hd fee, equipment rental fee-the 100Mbp is not actually bundle speed if you have more than one TV so you have to go to 200 ? I explained to them that I really wanted to give them the business, but they are 50 more than ATT Uverse. I offered to buy the equipment, and they said I could buy a modem, but the boxes for the TV could not be purchased and would be 26.00 per month. I'm so sorry I went back to TWC. I have been an on again off again for years now. Everything that people have said are true. The harassing automated phone calls when you're 1 week late on your bill, the overcharging. I won't even go into the "discussions" I've had with reps about why I refuse to pay for service I haven't even recieved yet, and why I always seem to be paying them every two weeks. I went with Vonage for phone, only $30 for what TW charges $40ish for, and with a Satellite provider who's Dvr's are actually state of the art, and my shows all get recorded all the time. The only thing from TWC I have is internet. Hate to say it, but RR is probably the best out there. Clear is dial up and AT&T isn't much better. Least until Verizon gets FIOS out here. Avoid using Time Warner SAT. The worst cable we have experienced in 16 years and six cities. From the beginning, the tv would just go blank with an error messsge that says omething like...sorry, call this number to work through the issue and get a correction code. They just forced us to change to a digital box. Some channels can no longer be watched due to poor, staticy picture and the other channels are boxed. We have a 32" TV in the bedroom and the picture is boxed to 20". And we pay a premium in order to watch NFL, which now has a boxed frame. On our larger tv, 1/3 of the screen is black. And their Internet service is frustrating as well. It finally works after months of frustration and two house calls. read more

I cancelled my service about 1/3 of the way into the billing cycle and they still charged me for a full month. They said they changed to a subscription service earlier this year and hid that info in their monthly bill. So even though I only had it for 11 days, they still charged for 30. Not to mention all the outages I experienced with their poor quality service. Ever since they bought out Time Warner the service went way down while the price kept escalating. Time Warner Cable is terrible! The customer service needs significant improvement. I had several issues with the Internet and digital phone service, which would drop in the middle of the night, setting off the house alarm and scaring the bejesus out of us. I called so many times for issues, that I knew the phone number by heart. The final straw was when our internet was down for an entire week. I called and the representative offered to credit my account because "I had been in a relationship with twc for a very long time" but would not send someone out because the signal was fine on their end. I told him that it was too long to be in a bad relationship and I was breaking up with them. He rescinded his offer of crediting my account and I was fine with that. Poor customer service. Had to go in because the cable company became too greedy. They are expecting a taxpayer bailout before Obama leaves office. That is why they are trying to lose customers right and left. ALL channels are now encrypted requiring the lease of their crap on ALL your TV sets, despite spending several hundred dollars on custom QAM equipment. Like Hillary Rodham Clinton, Time Warner is above Federal law by 1. Tying their equipment violating the Sherman Anti Trust Act, and 2. Refusing cable cards to customers because they only keep 1 tuning adapter at their locations. I needed 2 cable cards and 2 tuning adapters for 1 Tivo and 1 ATI digital wonder external tuner that is digital cable ready. and they gave me one that looked like it had cigarette burns on it, and some animal chewed all over it, and missing a foot. Box looked like it came out of the refuge. Gave me 2 digital adapters instead in which the lady who probally has a second job at the United States Post Office or the SNAP office thrown the manual in the bag which wasn't it English. Lady had a Post Office like attitude with me. Per the FCC rules which Time Warner doesn't want to follow state that Cable Card installations must not be made extremely difficult and they must give them out upon request to customers when asked for them in the lobby to allow customers to self install the cable cards. I have been a customer of Time Warner Cable for a long time, I have Cable, Internet and phone service with them , this is not a good idea. Right now I am having problems with them because they charged me for an International long distance call that we did not make, We do not have the International calls service with them, we have Skype for that service, when I try to send an International fax, it does not go through because we do not have the service, I can not call International long distance because we do not have the service, but they still charged us $25.00 for an International call, I refused to pay for it, so they just disconnected the cable, and they refuse to fix the problem. unless I go to their office. I work so I cannot do it. They said to go on line to see my call history, but that it is blocked also. so I do not know what to do. My recommendation never have all the services with the same company, it does not work. read more

After ordering and setting up an instilation time (8 days from when I called) I got my phone call an hour early to verify someone was to be there. So between noon and 458pm I waited. At 458 I called the number that called me and told them I didn't want their service. At 502 a man showed up outside my building.
