I went on October 13. They didn't tighten the drain plug properly. Honda leaked oil, needed tow to my house. Upon inspection this morning. The plug fell right off, when the bottom tray was removed. I was happy with Speedee oil change services till I had the poor and rude customer service in this store. I came here on 11/2/23 and changed the headlights. After two months, the lights stopped working, so i had to come to this store and ask if i can get help and learn the reason. First of all, the employee (manager) asked me what's going on. I told him about the issue and asked if I'm going to be charged. He said "yes you will do" without even giving me any explanation why this is happening since i got the same light fixed two months ago and the indian manager told me it will last 2 years. And he assured me about the headlights. I saw other comments also saying their headlights stopped working after short time they came. I think the negative reviews tell about this store and their fake service. They're SCAM. Don't waste your money unless you want to come back and ask help for the poor service they deliver to you. And, they won't take any responsibility for anything they served. Stay away from this store... there are tons of stores you can find with more affordable options and good customer service. We had to find a automotive repair close to the house and Yelped this place out. The Hyundai Sonata Dealership did not have any available appointments until November 21st. Almost a month away. We needed some professional help on these problems. The horn was not working on the steering wheel and the air bag light was on. My lady was really worried about these malfunctions of the car she drives in traffic everyday. So I called SpeeDee Midas and spoke to Andrew the Manager and when I told him what was wrong with our Hyundai he immediately knew what the problem was and told us to bring it in. We took it on a Friday morning 8am and they did a Diagnostic on it and they called us to let us know what the problem was and how much it would cost to fix it. So, we authorized the work, and our car was ready by noon time. The cost was not too bad and fit our budget. Andrew and his crew were on top of it and handled our problem right away. They were real Pros and gave us the parts and labor guarantee and made us feel safe again with our car. Vehicle was taken here for a routine oil change in August of 2024. Technician tried to upsell my son a bunch of unneeded service. Technician got annoyed my son didn't do the additional work. Lo and behold my son's next oil change at a different location determined the oil pan plug was completely stripped. 100% positive this location stripped the oil pan with the plug since we had zero issues before. I'll be following up this review with a complaint to the BAR. Do not get work done here. My car is currently in another shop to have a new oil pan put in as there's no way to repair the striped oil pan plug. $400 later and a new oil pan was put in. Also in checking google reviews other customers have had similar problems with their oil changes. read more

Called in early and spoke to the Indian person who told me the workers come in at 9:15 am. Everything sounded good until he told me the price was going to be $80.00 for my 2016 Toyota Prius. The only problem was I could go to a Star certified place closer to my home for only $49.00 including tax and lic. I went to Evergreen Smog on King Rd and it was done in 12 min. Poor communication. I brought my car in to get the brake pads fixed don't December 22nd, and the guy who took a look at my vehicle was great. They said they'd have to keep my car until the next day and I thought "okay cool, I'll still get to see my family for Christmas." I waited until 1pm on December 23rd, and I didn't get a call. I tried calling a few times but I kept getting sent to voice mail... a buddy drove with me to see if we could pick up my car at 3pm, and they were closed! It's now December 24th, and they're still not picking up the phone. Like, I get it if a business wants to close for the holidays, but don't tell me "you can pick up your car tomorrow" and then be closed the next day! Just tell me you'll be closed so I can get my car fixed somewhere else and I can still see my family for Christmas! They didn't even have their holiday hours posted on the door, OR posted anywhere online. The place is just closed without giving any reason as they hold my car hostage. I don't even want to be mad about this! But I don't get to see my family this year, and then I'm going to have to pay them $700 for keeping me away from my family? Absolutely wild! But yeah. Went in with overheating car. Took 2 hours to diagnose, which I was glad I got ride home first. Was told my cam shaft was complete worn and wasn't turning my water pump which was almost new. (At least 3 years old when I bought car) They told me most of engine and timing chain needed to be removed to fix cam shaft. 15 hours of labor at least. $5000 quote. Car not worth that so I i said pass. Paid for diagnostic $140. Came home and my ex brought new water pump and wow...cam shaft great, and old water pump worn. Opposite of what they said. $5000 job was now about $150. I will never go there again. Would put -5 stars if I could. So disappointed. read more

Took my car here for an oil change. I was up sold to a full synthetic that included a 17 point inspection $140. The next day I see oil underneath my car parking spot the oil plug or filter was probably loose when installed and is dripping oil and 3 weeks later my car battery died and I'm stuck in a parking lot because my car won't start. So much for 17 point inspection. But that is not all, my power seat is broken (will move back but cant move forward) told them not the move the seat and even put a post it note on the dash as a reminder. One of the worst auto shop. Took my car for oil change, tire rotation and signal light replacement. When I got my car back, there was a weird noise. When I took the car back to the shop, they found low oil and they forgot to tight screw for the tires. None of screw was tight and tire was super loose, headlights stopped working too. Instead of apologizing, the manager was blaming the new person and said new guy is idiot. That Indian manager should be ashamed of himself . He never apologized and tried to avoid eye contact and tried to stay away. That dump person should know he is a manger and should held responsibility. This place was very unwelcoming. First of, I called to schedule an appointment and she placed one for me. She added that they were not very busy due to the pandemic. I went in at the time I scheduled- the receptionist was there, I waited patiently as she was on the phone. The receptionist then shouted across the counter area then pointed me to go outside. I waited to get a diagnostic test and the gentleman-at first glance reviewed my services that I needed, and I guess felt that it would be too tough so he proceeded to almost seem as if he did not want to complete any services for me. He said I should go and check with other repair shops because this process that I needed will take up too much time... I said that I would have no problem with the wait, but he continued to explain why they couldn't service my car. Said things such as, "we are full" "we don't have much space and your car will need to be outdoors..." etc. I am in disbelief that A car servicing company would turn away a client just because they found that it would be tough he did not even give me the chance to do the diagnostic test. My car was in a bad shape. The check engine light came on and the car was bottoming out if I drove too fast on the highway. I also use it for commute everyday so having it in the garage for too long was not an option for me. Luckily, Andrew was amazing with helping me out here. They didn't have the sensor in stock, so they said they would order it and fix it for me in a few days. I come back a week later. They ask if I can come back the next day, so I come back the next day. Now, this is my third time there dealing with a problem they created. They had me wait for an hour only to tell me the mechanic has the day off and if I can come back the next day. I have a full time job. I don't have time to keep coming back. Once it's time to check out you deal with the manager who is rude, slow and has minimal customer service skills. I went in on a Sunday morning thinking ok, it's going to be busy, so I better plan on waiting there for a bit. Needless to say, it wasn't busy and the guy said it would be about 30 mins. The cashier wasn't sure, so she asked the owner, PJ, and when he asked me what coupon and what location, I said, "the other Monterey Rd. location and it's for 19.99" he looked at me like I was stupid and said, "Oh no, I can't go that low, you should've waited to get the oil change there. But I can give you the oil change for 29.99 instead as that's the deal I have going on here." I came in for an oil change (90k) and was initially greeted and assisted by Mr. Patel the Franshise Owner and made his suggestions based on my vehicle's history there at the shop in which he gave me a copy of to have naturally for my personal records as well. We discussed and agreed upon the work i would have done now (oil and air filters changed)and in the near future (trans and power steering fluid,performance upgrades) David was the auto mechanic/technition that followed up wth the post vehicle inspection and gave me a respectable run down on what was done today, as well as what he suggests be done next and how soon relative to safety and convenience of drive. As well as rapport over the vehicle and what to research myself in the meantime. I have been taking my car to this location since I moved to San Jose and have had good experience ever since. Today, I took my car in for O2 sensor replacement and during check in, Andrew noticed the scratches on the side of my vehicle. He said it can easily be fixed with spray paint and I told him that I have it with me, I just don't know how to do it and don't want to mess it up.
