Toilet kept clogging up, called them day after Christmas and they came the next morning. Assumed it was tree roots in my old sewage pipes but turned out an initially unidentifiable item (google search identified later as a part from my Tineco vacuum mop) had fallen in while emptying the dirty mop water end got stuck in the plumbing. Recently moved to the area and this is the first time I've needed a plumber. Called multiple places for a toilet leak, heard back from most but not all. A couple quotes were quite high; one even said they would not do the work unless the toilet was completely replaced; that would've been unnecessary because it was only a matter of some corroded screws basically. AJ gave a totally fair assessment, gave me an appointment less than 24 hours from when I called, and was all around responsive and professional. He guarantees his work for 2 months. We've been customers of Speedy Drain for almost thirty years and have always had excellent service Unfortunately not this time. It took three separate appointment times till they finally came. First appointment was cancelled and second appointment they forgot their ladder. When they came they worked on our clogged drains and ran our washing machine to make sure it drained and did not overflow. Unfortunately we have an old washer and they smacked the knob with their fist rather hard several times to stop the machine. After they left we started a load of wash and our machine stopped mid cycle. We tried several more times and it still did not run full cycle. We called our trusty repairman. He explained that the timer had been broken due to excessive force in turning the machine off, and was too expensive to be worth it to fix. We are now stuck with a machine where we are still guessing where to start a load so it will run a full cycle. We talked to Speedy Drain about it, and they claim no responsibility, saying they did not know anything about washing machines. We also still have a sink that is clogged , and for them to work on that, they claimed it was an extra fee. Whenever they came before, all clogs were taken care of for one price. So we are left with a broken washer and a clogged sink, and we've been excellent customers of theirs for almost thirty years. So very disappointed. We were not asking for them to replace our washer, just refund the fee we paid. Guess it is time to find a new service. read more
