Its so sad to think that customers would be uncomfortable or dread having the Manager as the waitress..... It just doesn't seem right does it! Of all positions shouldn't the Manager be the one providing the best customer service? Setting the bar for the other waitresses? Leading by example? She may not realize it but her lackluster attitude comes across in mediocre service and makes for an unpleasant dining experience. You know you're not imagining this when you hear customers in the adjoining booths making comments about her poor service, "forced" friendly customer service and seems to be getting worse. Isn't it supposed to be a family restaurant? This individual definitely does not represent family dining. What's worse is my children noticed how bad it was and said they don't want to go back. We went here for lunch today. It was busy! I thought it was going to be great considering the amount of people that were 1. waiting and 2. eating there. We were disappointed. We waited about 15 minutes before we were seated which is fine. We knew we were going to wait. What we weren't prepared for was the waiting for the waitress too. I ordered the chorizo scramble. it was ok. My wife ordered the beef stew. She said she liked it, but gave me the 'meh' face. That means that she tolerated it. Her meal came with dessert. We had the peach cobbler. It was pretty much flavorless. I'm not sure what the difference is to the one on Rosedale, but I like that one better. read more

This is the go to place for breakfast brunch! Everything is delicious as well as bountiful! I try something new every time and am never disappointed! Their staff is kind, attentive and helpful! The wait is definitely worth it! But make sure you have your whole party with you when they call your name to be seated, otherwise they'll skip to the next group in line. read more

I come here because they are open in the morning when I get my car washed. They are always busy which is fine but sometimes the waitresses take forever to take your order or bring it, but it's understandable considering how busy they are. This morning I ordered iced tea, a side salad, and the double down burger. This burger was excellent. It was hot, fresh, flavorful, everything you would expect from a great burger. The main reason I knocked them two stars was the side salad. The lettuce was brown and old, the tomatoes were old, and it just didn't have good flavor. I really wanted a nice fresh salad. I've always liked this restaurant in the past when we were in town, but today I was so disappointed. My egg was so brown and I had specifically asked that it not be all brown. The waitress saw that it was and actually acknowledged that it was but did not offer to fix it or take it off the bill. I won't do breakfast again there. read more

I ordered the lunch Chile verde enchiladas and everything tasted as if it came out of a can and super bland. My boyfriend ordered the crepes combo with biscuits and gravy on the side but the sausage and bacon were both extremely charred and hard to chew making it impossible to eat. While the biscuits were super dry and tasted like sand. The cups in which we got out water were also dirty and had a piece of food at the bottom of one of them. Knowing that this place would be super busy on a Sunday morning I attempted to call in for our party of 8. Understandably, they don't accept call-aheads and your entire party must be present before they'll seat you. So me and my huge family arrived and were told the wait would be 25-35 minutes. Cool. All the parties of 2, 3 & 4 were called and we were still there. Then the parties behind us of 2 & 3 were being called so we went inside and asked how much longer after 30 minutes had gone by. That is when things got annoying. The hostess told us that they had nowhere to seat us and so we would have to wait for no certain amount of time. She said they had nowhere they could fit all of us and she would look around and see what she could come up with. Another 10 minutes went by and we go back inside to see what she found out. She told us we don't fit anywhere as she is calling parties of 2 & 3 who arrived 20 minutes after us. Of course we were upset because I even called and let them know we were a party of 8. Yes, they don't accept call-aheads which I understand but if they knew we were coming and they can't fit us then that should have been said on the phone. She offered to seat our party in two separate booths which upset me. If seating us separately was going to be our only option then why not say that before seating 5 or 6 groups in front of us? It was a mess and it would have ruined our breakfast except that we had the nicest woman as our server. She was managing us and all her other tables like a champ! She was fantastic and she saved me from writing an angry one star review. read more

I bet some stuff is better than other ... but in my experience, everyone who I went with absolutely loved everything they ordered. Went here with some of my coworkers (we are all servers) a morning this week and it was steadily busy, not too bad but every table was still full and there was a bit of a wait, but nevertheless they got us in quickly. The hostess got our drinks and promptly brought them back, with a smile on her face of course. The server checked on us about 3 times until we were ready to order (an indecisive group yes!) and took our order. The waitress was nice, the food was not good at all in my opinion and way over priced. The bacon that they served my kids was burnt to the point it was black and broke into pieces. They did switch it out for sausage but I think I offended them in the process because they told me to order it differently next time and they didn't want to take responsibility. I had chicken fried steak and I could only eat a couple bites since it was overly chewy and just tasted like the meat had been frozen for a really long time. My wife and I are regulars here for breakfast and have only had breakfast foods there. Service is very friendly and they have a large selection for the breakfast menu including specials. I recommend their chicken fried steak, but, make sure you order from the main menu rather than the breakfast specials. Main menu offers chicken fried steak that is made from scratch versus the special which offers preciously frozen. But, I have tried both and I enjoyed both. The photos attached to this review are from two separate occasions. The first time we came here, we arrived within an hour of closing time. There weren't much people around so we were seated right away. We learned that the breakfast specials were served "all day." (They close around 2:30pm) If you ever want breakfast for lunch, you can most definitely do it here. Our waitress was very friendly and the service was fast. The food was so delicious. We made sure that our second time, we would try breakfast. So, we came a second time! Breakfast did not disappoint. The portions were great. The place was packed this time but again, we were seated right away. Service was fast again and our waitress was amazing. I definitely recommend coming here.
