Went there yesterday and was told happy hour drinks were all day. Ordered a scotch on the rocks and dinner. Dinner was good, my two guests agreed on theirs as well. However, when bill came my $6 scotch was actually $9.00. I questioned the waiter and he replied it was because it was on the rocks. I laughed and said, $3.00 for ice? You got to be kidding. He said nope. I called the manager over and he refused to provide any common sense decency and just said the same thing explaining ice makes it more scotch to pour in drink. I told him I should have been advised since I ordered a happy hour drink. I told him he lost a customer and he said he didn't care. Wow, what a jerk this guy was. This was a favorite place of ours & we ate there often. Our food has always been very good. Yesterday we went in to pickup our food from a call in order. We arrived & told the bartender we had an order. It wasn't ready yet so we sat at the bar to have a drink. The food arrived we paid up & left. Half way home I noticed we were missing a couple items we paid for so we turned around and went back. Told the bartender and he went about getting the missing items. Either the owner or manager walked by and we said why we were there. His response with a loud voice "what you gonna do punch me?!?!?!?" WTF? I have no idea what caused him to act that way but we will never eat there again. Actually it was despicable behavior by said manager/owner and we will never return. This was the worst breaded veal I've ever had. Environment was lively. I'm a great cook and I expect at least mediocre when I go out. However, a 1/4 " of over pounded veal and over fried. Basically, my meal was fried breadcrumbs. Toast would've been better. The waiter did a good job however I'm sure was told to rush us out because the kitchen was closing. We heard this place was good and we were visiting for two weeks so we decided to try it. OMFG the food is so good and the staff is amazing. My husband had the Wienerschnitzel with veggies. I had the hotdog which was humongous and their french fries were super good and crispy with a light batter coating on the outside. I have to admit, I'm addicted to this place. I've been going since they opened and all I see are improvements. The first time I went I so unimpressed with the menu. It was about 80% sandwiches, 17% appetizers, and 3% entrees. I was ordering dinner to go, since I live about a 45 second walk from there. I wanted their French Onion Soup and a Reuben. Sadly I was informed that they didn't have any to go containers for the soup. This has now changed, they have non styrofoam containers for the soup. Oh, the Reuben? Fantastic! Flavorful, grilled perfectly, and it's enough for 2 meals! Fast forward to this week. They have changed the menu and have many choices for entrees now, and they have a steak and black bean chili which YOU MUST HAVE! Last Friday I had lunch AND dinner there! They have a lunch card, which after 4 lunches you get 1 free *see store for details :) A few must haves, in my opinion: The shrimp Po Boy (Lunch menu). I'm not a big fan of bread, but I couldn't stop eating it! The crispiness was perfect! The combination of the more than bite size shrimp, the crumbled bacon and the sauce was perfect. Do yourself a favor and get this! The cheeseburger. Without exaggeration, the best burger I've had anywhere in a long time. The flavor was outstanding! I took one bite and said Holy Sh!t!! Get the perfectly cooked Onion rings as the side and you can thank me later. Finally, the dessert. Any of them. Seriously. They do switch them up, but twice they had ... Wait for it... Creme brulee! Yes, folks, on Wilton Drive! And it was like only 6.00!!! Enough of my rambling. Just go there. It's been a while since I've been to Spencer's and I forgot how good the food was. We went on a very busy Saturday night and fortunately were quickly seated on the patio. Despite how busy it was the service was attentive and well-paced. Drink orders were taken soon after we were seated. We all ordered the same thing, the Reuben sandwich and onion rings. The sandwich was delicious and prepared perfectly. It was so large I took half to go and had it for lunch the next day. It was just as good the next day and the best part was I could see that the corned beef was premium, very lean beef not full of fat which you often get. The only disappointment was the onion rings which were greasy and undercooked. I've had them before and they are perfect so I attributed this to a busy Saturday night. I definitely recommend Spencer's for some of the best food on the Drive and I will be back very soon. read more

Really enjoy Spencer's. The food is a mix of some great American fare. The food quality is high and the portion sizes are pretty generous. I like that they keep the place clean and the staff are very friendly. Check them out on Wednesday for their karaoke night. It gets pretty loud and the guys really belt out some great songs. First visit to this new spot and review on this site. Generally needs to clean up service and offer a better menu. Food prices were decent but the menu was very basic and limited. The service staff were friendly but clueless. Got orders wrong and the wait time was ridiculous. Drink prices were somewhat higher than expected and we were told there is no happy hour pricing or specials. Place was nicely decorated inside but VERY loud. Couldn't hear other people who were seated at our own table. TVs and music were simultaneously playing inside and the patio was too hot to sit outside. Good location on the drive but it may wind up the same way many others did at the same location in the past. read more

The staff was very nice and friendly upon walking in they all greeted us we were looking at a menu before we sat down to make sure something sounded good. Sat down to eat at the bar ordered a Shirley Temple and figured out what we wanted to eat, order the food and the Shirley temple arrived.. Apparently the guy at the bar did not know how to make a Shirley temple because it tasted terrible he actually said he made it with Gingerale which is definitely not what you use a Shirley temple it supposed to be lemon lime soda obviously, food came pretty fast I ordered the turkey club and my boyfriend ordered the chicken wings and a sandwich, so my turkey club was decent besides I only ate the bacon and the bread because the turkey was so cheap and processed (dogs loved it) Once again I ordered the macaroni salad as my side and it literally had no salt and pepper or anything on it, was GROSS..The wings were pretty good a little salty I'm not sure what that was and my boyfriend sandwich was pretty good no complaints there. I've always had exceptional service and quality of food in my dozens of times visiting. Until now. The saltine crackers delivered with my French Onion Soup, had dark green stripes through where the food portion of the cracker was. I complained and said that it looked like mold, to which the OWNER ridiculed me and said I should shut up about it. So this is me shutting up about it, the owner should have apologized and said it was an accident that he would fix. Instead, it left me feeling extremely ungrateful for my patrognage there, and I won't be back anytime again soon. read more
