We ordered takeout & it was fast & easy. My husband, one of my sons, & I ordered beef laap (beef slices, not ground beef). My other son ordered beef sticks. Food was ready quickly, so service was great. However, food was below subpar. The beef was mushy & too sweet for laap, but the portion size was decent-ish for the price. I knew some people out there that worked part-time in Stockton. I knew some people out there that were stuck in Stockton forever. A lot of people out there say they would never live here, they don't really want to live here. But there's a lot of culture, and a lot of history here. Stockton is only about an hour away from Oakland. There's not a lot of good Laotian spots around. I wanted to give this a go, before I go back to the North Bay tomorrow. It looks modestly big, traditional, and clean here. I was the only one here, when I got here. There should be more people here at Noon on a weekday. I got the Papaya Salad, Beef Laab, and Milk Tea with Coconut Cream. The Papaya was fresh, crunchy, and pungent. I liked how they gave me sliced Beef as an option for the Laab. It's one of the better Laab I had. I can tell it's a Laotian style Laab. The Laab is herbaceous, aromatic, and well seasoned. It was slightly spicy, and very good. And the Milk Tea hits different, when there's Coconut Cream in it. It does somewhat taste exotic. This could be a 4.3 stars on a good day, but I give this 4.2 stars. read more

You know the food is good but last night I ordered a to go and it took almost an hour to get my order!!! Wtf?! So I placed an order over the phone she told me 20 minutes. I arrived 20 mins later and she pulled my order out of her pocket and was like oh it'll be 25 mins they're still working on it.... Huh?!? However, I ordered sticky rice with papaya salad and the rice smelled OLD. Slightly sour smell which meant it was microwaved at some point bc the moisture had changed the smell already. I get its an appetizer for papaya salad but the $11.95 when it can barely feed one person as an app is too much if the serving size is literally a handful. It was smaller than a soda can. Spice It Up is SOOOOO GOOD! We got the fresh spring rolls- tasty and fresh with a great crunch, pad Thai packed full of flavor and the ABSOLUTE star of the show- the green curry. HOLY COW SO STINKING GOOD!! We could eat it everyday and never be tired of it. The quality of all the ingredients is VERY apparent and obvious. Eat here and then thank me later! Three stars. We ordered the Thai stir fry, fresh rolls, pineapple fried rice, fried garlic ribs and drunken noodles. The good: The food was flavorful. The bad: The order was wrong. We didn't receive our complete order. We called the restaurant. They said that they would process a refund for the missing item and call me back. They took my name and number, but didn't process the refund nor did they call me back. Portion sizes were small on the takeout order. Would I try it again? I would try it again for an in-person dining experience, but not for delivery. $15 in service fees not including the tip is not worth it and certainly not when the order is not correct at delivery. read more

Spicy, but only from chili flakes. Interior: Really large dining area, and really empty during a weekday lunch in December. I ordered for pick-up, and wasn't sure where to go. I later realized the register is all the way in the back corner, across the room. Food: When I eat spicy food, I often appreciate when spice isn't just a last minute addition. Based on my order, it looks like the level of spice is based on the amount of chili flakes added. While it definitely adds spice, it does pepper the food quite a bit, creating an unpleasant over seasoning. While this is disappointing, the food was actually really good.
