Nine years later, I am still a fan of this place. When I first moved here, my aunt took me to eat Thai food for the first time and I have been hooked ever since. Thai Spice quality of food has never diminished over the years I been visiting. I have brought friends and family to this place and I always hear them say this was the best Thai food they ate. The atmosphere is friendly, the service good and the dishes excellent. Recommendations: Chicken Satay Chicken Ka Prong (my language skills need work- buts its on the appetizer menu and it ground chicken in small potato shells) Mint fried rice and cashew chicken stir fry's are good choices. Of all the Thai restaurants I've been to, and I've been to quite a few, this one is the best! I've been coming to this restaurant since I was about 6 years old and the quality has never wavered. I've tried almost all of their dishes over the years, each one is amazing in its own unique way. I remember once, when I came with my mom, the chef came out and introduced herself. She was a very sweet lady. She told us her story of how she came to be a chef. She studied cuisine in Thailand, and her degree was presented to her by the King of Thailand. I was very young, like 9 or 10, but I remember being so impressed. But yeah, I guess that still is very impressive. We came here for Mother's Day and enjoyed a great meal. My kids are typically not very adventurous when it comes to food and they really enjoyed the beef satay, Thai BBQ chicken, pineapple fried rice and red curry. My wife loves spicy dishes and ordered a spicy basil noodle dish (I can't recall the exact name). We ended the meal with a delicious mango and sticky rice desert. The restaurant was clean and the seats we had were quite spacious. Our server was friendly and attentive. There was also a little nook area where a couple chose to sit, but I noticed that it took a while for them to get served (out of sight, out of mind?) Like this place a lot. Pad Thai is great. Service is good. The hours are funky, so make sure you check that out before you go. They close between lunch and dinner, and you could get there and find the door locked if you wanted a late lunch or early dinner. I watched them turn people away. read more

What a great surprise! We were ravenously hungry one night so we decided to drive down the street for some Thai food. It wasn't very crowded (we went on a Sunday night). The service was great and the food was even better. We ordered a pad thai, crying tiger, tom yum soup and mango with sticky rice. Everything was super flavorful and so delicious! The tom yum soup was too salty so I asked for some hot water and added into the soup and it was perfect! The noodles in the pad thai was cooked perfectly. My family and I have been coming here since I was 12 years old. I'm almost 25 and this is still by far our favorite Thai restaurant. I moved to RSM which is a bit of a drive from the restaurant but I still make my way over because I just can't find one as good as this place! The owner always makes his way to greet his customers when he's around. You will always get a good dining experience and the food is just outstanding! They have the best beef satay and pad Thai! Ever since I tried the crying tiger I've been craving to return. The meat is so tender and flavorful, I was not disappointed. I was also satisfied with the cleanliness of the establishment. Today, I tried the Thai ice tea and it was A+. I'm picky about Thai ice tea because they're always too sweet or two spiced, but this one is perfect! I also tried the specialty duck, and it was amazing. Definitely worth the price. All the meats here are cooked so well, I definitely rate it as one of the top Thai place in south Orange County. Thai food was just ok. There are so many places to choose from in OC for good Thai food I wouldn't ever come back here. The service is horrible and they charge $1.50 extra for rice as it doesn't come with any of their curry dishes. I've been to many other places that DO NOT charge extra for rice. Laughable! read more

I can't speak to how authentic or not the food is it Spice Thai. What I can speak to is the quality of the food. My husband and I ate there last night (we are local and this is a favorite place). The curry eggplant was absolutely delicious. I just finished the rest today at lunch which prompted me to write. Every piece of meat in every dish I have ever tried is tender and never has a piece of fat or grizzle on it. The vegetables are fresh and are presented beautifully. That is why I gave it 5 stars. They have good specials that come with soup appetizer and entree. Good price and portion. The soups are so good. I go for the soups.

I'm regular there. I always like the chicken noodle soup in the regular menu. They serve that with lunch set in single cup without chicken. Regular menu serving is right size for me. The right amount of garlic in the stock, the right amount of bean sprout, the right noodle (not the typical rice noodle that you get from a Vietnamese place). Plus some "prik-nam-blah", make this so "A-Roy Mah". I don't have to fly to Thailand Bangkok. My colleague has been having chicken noodle soup (American style) for lunch. Based on Yelpers review ,we had lunch today at 11:00. Considering there were only two table at that time it took almost ten minutes before they took our order. It must be waiters lunch time so they brought out there food first before attending to customers. Service is very poor. Food is quite disappointing, the Pad See-Ew noodles was soggy and didn't have that char smoky taste to it. Which is like the McDonalds of Thai food, don't go there. Spice Thai on the other hand is a nice place with good food and a couple of great dishes. My all time favorite is the Crying Tiger. It's marinated strips of steak with a spicy bright green sauce makes me want to cry it's so good. Their lunch specials are reasonable. You get a tasty soup along with a salad and your main course served with rice. The salad is weak, it's all iceberg lettuce it's almost like eating water. Seriously there's no need to order a drink the salad will quench your thirst. I would recommend this place to a friend it's definitely worth checkin out. read more

The location leaves you a little hesitant, but once you start to eat it all goes out the door. The owner comes around and asks how things are and the food is delicious. Very authentic, good atmosphere, well lit, clean and small enough to avoid loud crowds that ruin the experience. If you want thai in this area, this is where to go. A bit pricey but food is worth it! I got the pineapple fried rice because it seemed to have the most meat and variety with ingredients.
