Lamb Kebab Kathi Roll and Aloo Tikki Chaat (D)
    Cat T.

Spice Waala is an unassuming hole in the wall and parking can be tough, but it's a little gem! I went for a quick solo dinner and even on weekday nights, tables were full most of the time (although there are just 5 tables) and people constantly coming in to pick up. I got the lamb kebab roll, aloo tikki chaat, and mango lassi. Portions are on the smaller side but super affordable, so it makes sense. The lamb kebab roll was smaller, so I'd advise two if you're really hungry. The lamb was good, although I felt a little one note and could use more pickled onions and chutney. The mango lassi was small, but thick and filling. Class mango lassi flavor, a little bit more on the spice-y side. The real star of the show was the aloo tikki chaat. I've never had it before and was blown away. Crispy potato patties covered in yogurt, pomegranate, some crunchy topping I don't know the name of, and a sweet tamarind sauce. The perfect balance of textures and flavors. Went so incredibly well with the lamb kebab roll - this is a must order!! I will definitely be back to try some of the other sides and rolls.

I have been going to Spice waala for 2+ years and absolutely love their food. A simple menu with only a few options which they have mastered to perfection. Kathi rolls and limited chaat items is what they sell and everything tastes great. Their chicken is marinated for 36 hours and cooked to perfection. Aloo tikki Kathi roll and chaat options are amazing too.

I've had this spot on my list for a while and it absolutely delivered. The space is casual and welcoming, excellent customer service, and the food was delicious across the board. The lamb kabob roll and chana chaat were packed with flavor, and the masala chai was perfect, not too sweet since you add in your own sugar. Left full and happy. Can't wait to come back!

I've been coming here for a couple of years now. I love the lamb wrap and the chicken wrap. It feels like I'm eating something relatively healthy, but still with a comfort food taste. Oh and they also have very good soft serve! The service is always top notch

We had chicken roll and lamb roll and some snacks. The rolls are sooo good and rich. I would definitely come back for the lamb roll!

Great tasting Indian food! I love how casual and convenient the spot is, lots of flavor for the right price. Even their soft serve was spectacular. I highly recommend this place and would come back.

Spice Waala offers a short menu of Indian street food--kathi rolls, chaats, and soft serve! The kathi rolls were made with a thin, soft roti flatbread with a choice of filling, and I had the Lamb Kebab, made with a generous portion of spiced and grilled lamb patties along with cilantro chutney and pickled onions. We also tried the Papdi Chaat (described as Indian nachos), made of crispy fried dough and sliced potatoes topped with tamarind chutney, yogurt, sev, and beet greens; and the Chana Chaat, made of chickpeas in a spicy, tangy dressing topped with sev. For dessert, we had their Haldi Doodh soft serve, a light dairy-based ice cream made with turmeric milk, which had a lightly spiced and sweet flavor. Overall, this was a simple but tasty place for super affordable Indian street food!

Ok. Mind officially blown!! I don't know why it's taken me so long to try Spice Waala?! But I will certainly be a return customer! Let me tell you about the Aloo Tikki Chaat.... I've never had anything like this before. The combination of flavors and textures...just wow. It was a taste bud party in my mouth. All the toppings are packaged separately and they include a little card with assembly instructions. Which for a first timer, was very helpful. I cannot recommend this enough! And at a $5.50 price point too! Also tried the Kathi Roll Lamb Kebab. Also divine. So much great flavor. It's not huge, but it doesn't need to be. packs a punch of protein in a convenient roll. I'd ordered an extra yogurt sauce for this, but I honestly didn't need it, as I had some left over from the chaat. The menu is small, but excellently executed. I can't wait to come back and try more items. Take a look at the About section of their website too. They are a company that cares about their employees and community. And I will happily support them again and again. Trust me. Run, don't walk, to go and try Spice Waala!!

A small, spacious, and colorful interior with delicious food. There's only 6 tables inside for seating but the lack of tables seems intentional and gives the place a more relaxing feel. The Chicken was spicy but not too spicy, it was marinated well, cooked to perfection, and extremely juicy. The cilantro chutney incorporated was the perfect sweet element which balanced out the spiciness quite well. My only complaint is that when they scrape the grill clean it sounded like nails on a chalkboard, which was quite irritating.

Confused by signage--does "gluten" mean gluten-free or containing gluten? Is anything that doesn't list "gluten" gluten-free?

All of our Kathi Rolls are wrapped in roti (thin bread) which contains gluten. You can ask for the bread on the side or no bread, but the Lamb & Aloo say "gluten" because they have breadcrumbs inside we can't take out. Apart from that, the Chana… Read more

I got the classic smash with an extra patty. There's an obvious focus on quality ingredients, and overall the burger was enjoyable. The meat itself could be seasoned a bit more, so I'd recommend going with one of their more adventurous options to add some flavor. My biggest gripe has to do with the fries. $5+ is steep for the portion they're offering. Overall: 3.75/5

You order online for delivery or swing by to pick it up (which is what we did) :: when you get there, you just let them know which kitchen you're there for, and they quickly bring out your order. We ordered a couple of truffle mushroom smash burgers and a spicy lover's smash burger, and every single one was fantastic. They delivered exactly what you want from a smash burger: juicy patties with perfectly crispy, caramelized edges, all tucked into soft, toasty brioche buns. The buns were a standout - they held everything together beautifully and soaked up the juices without getting soggy. The fries were crisp and satisfying, rounding out the meal nicely. This is definitely a spot we'll be adding to our regular rotation.

For a group of four adults with a normal hungry, we ordered a small beef set and fried chicken, which was plenty. The banchan was fantastic, especially the Myungranjut.
