When we finally got our sandwiches, we took them to go & the Lucia's Club was delicious! It was packed with a lot of meat & flavor, a good bite on to grab on the way home. The BCE was just alright, a little too dry for my taste. However, I'd still come back to try more of their signature sandwiches because the club did NOT disappoint!

Then there were 2 separate sections for extra meat and extra ingredients, and those were required too, and both came with additional charges!!! I thought requiring customers to add extra ingredients and charging them extra because of that was totally ridiculous. If I don't want extra meat or extra ingredients, I should be able to leave those options blank and still place my order. But I couldn't proceed to place my order if I didn't select those. I ended up trying to go with the $17 option instead with minimal customization options. I eventually just placed the order, went to the store, and picked it up. As for the sandwich itself, it was pretty standard in size and the quality was decent, but there really wasn't much going on inside. It was basically just bread, meat, and cheese. There weren't even any vegetables! No lettuce whatsoever. I thought that was really weird for a sandwich to be very bare like this, especially given that the final total cost was $19 for a single sandwich from a small deli. I expected a lot more from a sandwich at that price! Again, the sandwich wasn't bad, but I didn't think it was worth $19.

I was actually craving Banh Mi for awhile since the shelter in place but majority of restaurants closed. Then I found this place and decided to see what they got. I never had Lao food before and the pictures made it look really good. Decided to try it out since I wanted to order a sandwich from them anyway. The Banh Mi was good. They didn't cut the meats super thin like other places trying to save money. It was a good ratio of veggies, meat, and spread. But I personally like more pickled veggies and stronger pate flavor. The sausage and chicken skewer was really good. When I took the first bite it punched me in the face with lemongrass but afterwards it was fine. I ordered mild and it had pretty good heat. I have a low tolerance for spicy food and this was not too spicy so I can taste the food still. I wish there was more meat. Purple sticky rice was really good. I never had that kind of rice. It went really well with the meat. Don't eat it separately, it tastes better together. I didn't care for the roasted pepper sauce it came with but the sweet/savory chili paste was tasty. I used very little on each bite and it had a nice heat. It made me think of when I sit in front of a fireplace a little too close. Kinda hot but didn't burn. The sweet soul lao dessert was good. The trio was the best. It reminds me of my grandma, she always made these but I don't know if its the same thing but with a vietnamese name or she made a viet style of it. Unfortunately, I didn't like the pandan custard. My grandma made it better, sorry. It was a little too mushy, I like it with more bite maybe more gelatin? But then again it is called custard on the menu. Price to me was a little high because I'm used to Asian food usually being really cheap. Or maybe I'm just cheap and ordered too much food. The decor is lovely with ample seating. As a fan of Lao food and banh mi, I went for the BBQ pork banh mi with an extra fried egg, totaling $10 - a reasonable price for such a flavorful banh mi. I found a spot near Joann's, and once I bit into the banh mi, I was in heaven. The BBQ pork was incredibly tender and juicy, bursting with flavor from the marinade. I ordered a Nam Khao salad with tofu to-go at opening, my third consecutive day visiting. Unfortunately, when I returned to work, I discovered it had pork instead. I called the restaurant and was told they'd call me back, but I never heard from them. I returned in person, and the staff acknowledged the mistake, saying they would remake the dish. I waited 25-30 minutes while others received their orders, but mine never came. The owner passed by multiple times without addressing the issue. I eventually requested a refund, which they processed with little apology or concern. I wasted over an hour and left without any food. A TV on the wall was showing videos of food being enjoyed. So, the menu is extensive and leans wonderfully towards spicy options. Do not expect Cantonese food; that is not what they do. There are plenty of items that are less common, and there are also dishes that will make a more adventurous eater cheerful. One thing that's interesting about how the menu is organized is... there is a menu category called "Chinese-American" dishes. Most of the dishes in this category (such as Kung Pao Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, etc.) are normal to see at lots of Chinese food places, so getting a reminder that "these dishes only exist outside of China" is honestly pretty neat. We ordered Shredded Pork with Garlic Sauce & Dry Cooked String Beans, plus steamed rice. The pork was such good quality -- tender, plentiful... there were tons of slivered wood-ear fungus which I LOVE... and the dish had a vibrant 'Medium' spicy level. A level of spice that will make you pay attention! The string beans were succulent! Not 'saucy'... and I mean that in a good way, for sure! So much flavor, and each bean was trimmed with care. They were tender/al-dente and bursting with concentrated goodness. It's been a week since we were there and we can't stop thinking about how good everything was. Mmmmmm. Don't expect elegant ambiance... just phenomenal food, and friendly staff! We will be back OFTEN.

The food is excellent. Highly recommend the hotpot for $20, you get your pick up three meat and three veggies and it's good enough for two. Steam soup dumplings and mapo tofu were awesome as well. Service was great, the ladies who worked there kept checking up on us to make sure we have everything we need. Served us tea, water, a little plate of peanuts without even asking. I think it's safe to say you can order anything on the menu and be happy with it. The only downside/tip I have is to not sit by the door. Their door slams super hard every time someone comes in and it's very distracting, other than that fantastic place to come back

The chicken dumplings were okay not my favorite, but they still tasted good. The hot and sour soup looked unappetizing and had a slimy texture. I'm not sure if that's how it's supposed to be, but it tasted okay. Overall, I don't think it was worth the $11.
