This restaurant is phenomenal! Hands down, pretty amazing food. The rice is soft and fluffy, best rice ove had in a long time. The Vegan tofu soup is absolutely delicious and the chow mein and creamy buns and green beans are all up there in favor and freshness. This restaurant is in my top as far as I'm concerned. Ordered off door dash and can say this is the most underwhelming food I've ever had, possibly the worst. We had to add our own sauces and seasonings to make it better. We ordered the beef chow fun, broccoli beef, and braised pork belly. The beef chow fun had no flavor and barely any noodles. It was ALL bean sprouts. The noodles that we did have were stuck together and mushy. The broccoli beef barely had sauce and no flavor, the broccoli was old and sour. I was most excited about the braised pork belly, however this was the most disappointing meal. It came with potatoes and two pieces of broccoli. The potatoes were piping hot, parts of the pork belly were warm, other parts were hot. The pork belly was also very dry. I'm used to eating braised pork belly and it's usually sweet. This was not sweet and I'm not sure what flavor profile this was supposed to be, as there wasn't any flavor. Never again. read more

My partner and I arrived at this location expecting to see the previous restaurant, only to find out it had changed ownership. We decided to give it a try, and we're so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, the environment was warm and inviting. The restaurant was very clean, with lovely instrumental music playing in the background, creating a relaxing dining experience. Everything we ordered we served as entrees portion, we ordered beef broccoli, sesame chicken, and fried rice with shrimp and pork, plus we added chow mein. We also couldn't resist trying the homemade pork potstickers. Our dinner started drinks, their delicious herbal tea, followed by a small plate of peanuts to snack on while we waited. We also had the chance to try one of their soups, which had amazing flavor and a nice little kick to it. The food arrived in a well-paced order--tea, peanuts, soup, potstickers, then the entrees. Every dish was served in generous portions, and the flavors were spot on! Our waiter was very friendly and attentive, checking in periodically to make sure we were doing well. After we finished our meal, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary dessert--two small, light, and fluffy white cakes with strawberry frosting with a side of fruit. It was the perfect sweet touch to end the meal. The pricing was very reasonable, and the staff even boxed up our leftovers while we waited for the check. I've been here three times in the last month for lunch! My new favorite lunch spot. They have $11.99 lunch combos on about 15 entrees. I asked to split fried rice and chow mein the first time because I wasn't sure which I'd like. Over the phone they tell you it's $2 extra to do half/half but it's actually $3. Still a good price, though! The rice is cooked perfectly and the noodles are chunky and flavorful. The first time I went, I got general chicken, second time kung pao chicken, and third time was sesame chicken. My favorite so far has been the kung pao but I'll get them all again! The restaurant seems fairly new with a "now open" sign out front but the inside is nice and spacious with plenty of seating and some historic pictures on the walls. The staff is very pleasant and patient. The man who served me was very nice and gave me a reasonable time for my food to be ready which was 10-15 minutes and it was hot and ready in exactly 13 minutes. The food was seasoned well and very tasty. Everything was cooked to specifications and the spice levels baseline is a great heat level for the average spice enjoyer and they provide the option to make the food spicier or you can add chili oil to your food. We got the General Tao's chicken, fried rice, crispy spicy chicken and bbq chow mein. So far this is the best Chinese food we've have since being in the area and our total came to around $60 I was surprised it wasn't as busy but I'm glad I got to try them because I will be back. read more

This place (HoiCin) used to be so good, then boom something happened, it was after COVID. I ordered my usual lunch special Mongolian beef with steamed rice. The sauce for the Mongolian beef was thick like gravy (slimy) and the rice was mushy like it had been sitting a few days and they tried to re-cook it. I called the restaurant to let them know I wasn't happy about my order and the woman I spoke with, tells me that no one else complained. I politely told her "I don't give a damn what other people say/did. I'm not a satisfied customer". So now recently they had a bad inspection and changed the name. Still the same place. I came for the braised pork belly dishes - there are two of these in the menu. One of them wasn't available today, so I got the spicy one. I was able to customize it to have less spiciness for my sister, and it was good for both of us. The sauce had good flavor, the pork had good texture, and the veggies went well with the dish. I would come back for this dish and also to try their other braised pork belly dishes. As a side snack dish, I also got their beef roll (the menu calls it beef burrito). It was sweeter than the other beef rolls that I had before and the wrap had a mochi texture to it. It was good overall but the sweetness was a bit strange. I did takeout for my order and made my own white rice at home. I think that the pork belly portion plus my own rice is enough for 2-3 meals. Good stuff overall read more

Mapo tofu was lighter on the spice level (4/7), but you could add chili oil to make it spicier. It had the mala-numbing sensation too. The spicy crispy chicken was very good as well. Nothing fancy, just nice spicy, crispy chicken. The General Tso's Beef was flavorful and had a nice glutinous gravy, very low spicy if any.
