can't believe we haven't tried this place earlier! was on the search for a good chinese restaurant. ordered the combo chow mein, bbq pork fried rice, s&p wings & fried fish fillets. all of them were great and did not disappoint! the chow mein & rice weren't the kind they drown in soy sauce, so i love that! it's hard to find a place they actually gives you a decent amount of meat and veggies in the noddles and rice. place is pretty nice inside, looks new and clean. lots of parking in the lot. will be back! read more

At last! My search for a great ABC restaurant is over! For folks who want "authentic" Chinese food, this place may not be their thing. For me...this is 100% my thing! The service is great. The staff is friendly and attentive. The restaurant has been remodeled from the previous Chinese restaurant that existed and it is very nice and clean. I have gone a few times for lunch. The lunch special is a great value. It includes a soup, rice, vegetables, or chow mein, and a protein for like $12 to. $15. I have had the Mongolian beef, sweet and sour chicken, sweet and sour pork, General's chicken, and walnut shrimp. All delicious. The hot and sour soup is amazing. So are the crab wontons. They also have large group dinner packages and an area for larger parties. You can probably tell by this point if this was s the type of Chinese food restaurant you like... and if it is, they will not disappoint! read more

Tonight I ordered Combo fried rice, Mongolian Beef and Broccoli Beef. Everything was perfectly seasoned and not greasy which is a huge factor for me when selecting good food. I really loved this place when it was sunny lee's. After they left, this place was an Afghan/Pakistani place, they were also good, but they did not last very long. I'm glad to see another Chinese restaurant went into the space. I , had eaten here once before, and I liked the food, but unfortunately, I never did a review. I did a DoorDash, and overall, it was OK. The first item I ordered was the wor wonton soup. It was delicious, and it was chock, full of goodies! The broth was very good, I liked the wontons, and they were generous with the chicken and shrimp, as well as the other ingredients. I love a good wor wonton soup, and this was right up with the best that I've had. The next thing I ordered was the Asian chicken salad. In the past, whenever I've ordered a chicken salad, the chicken was not breaded and fried. Unfortunately, I missed the part on the menu where it said "crispy chicken." that one's on me. The salad was very good, and although I would've preferred non-breaded chicken, the chicken was tender. It came with a nice sesame dressing as well that I liked. The one item I did not care for as much was the pork chow fun. The noodles were tender, as was the pork, and they were generous with the pork. However, they overdressed it with the soy sauce. I prefer to put my own soy sauce on, and this was just dark there was so much sauce on it. Again, it tasted good, but the taste of the sauce on it, overwhelmed the Dish a bit. The portions were big, I had enough for two servings, and the prices were reasonable. Overall, it was a good meal. Came here on a Sunday night around 5:30. At first glance it looked like there would be a long wait with all the pickup orders and one large party inside. I thought service would be slow, but the hostess moved quickly and got us seated without a long wait. The interior is nice and modern. Just a heads up, the booths do move when adjusting, so be careful while sitting. The ambiance was really quiet. No music, just people talking between tables. Everyone dining seemed to respect the noise level, which made it feel almost too quiet. I wish it had been a little more lively. After ordering, the food came out fast. Walnut Shrimp 8.7 / 10 Fresh and piping hot. The shrimp-to-batter ratio was on point and the pieces were a good size. Crispy and not overly sauced. I liked that the walnuts were served on the side. It came with 10 pieces. BBQ Pork Fried Rice 5 / 10 Not fresh. Felt like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. Portion was just okay, but the flavor was good and it wasn't greasy. Mongolian Beef 10 / 10 I asked for extra spicy and they delivered. Large beef pieces with plenty of onions. This is my go-to dish and it didn't disappoint. This restaurant is easy to miss. It's located in an easy to miss strip mall next to a Skechers. The outside is quite unremarkable but inside the decor was surprising nice. Modern Asian theme and overall very clean except for the little gnats that we're flying around. The portions were good, the food not overly greasy, but every item we ordered was a little bland. Broccoli beef, sweet and sour chicken, egg flower soup, dumplings, egg rolls, chicken fried rice, chow menu. We all ate and were quite full but I would've liked a little more flavor, seasoning. I came here looking for soup since I just came from dental work and was advised to only eat light/soft foods. My searches in the area brought up this restaurant and I was wondering why I have never heard of this place. Now I know, and am please to say pleasantly surprised. The place was located in a somewhat odd location but don't let that fool you. Once you walk inside, the simple decor and arrangement of the place was very pleasing to the eyes...not to mention, very well lit. I didn't need to suint at the menu. I was greeted by very nice staff at the counter and I then placed my order of Egg Drop Soup and Hot and Sour Soup. I was even offered water while I waited. It didn't take long for my order to arrive...nicely packed and sealed in separate plastic bags with complementary seasoning, cookies and chopsticks. And the price was really affordable! Wanted Chinese food and so I decided to stop by. This strip mall area is pretty empty and has a history of pretty low interest. First. The inside is very clean and nice. They certainly take pride in making sure the inside is nice and tidy. I ordered to go. The staff is super kind and nice. They offered me water while I waited for my food. Said hello. I ordered several lunch plates and foiled wrap chicken. All the food was piping hot. This is always a plus General chicken - was delicious Honey walnut chicken - it was sweet and delicious. I prefer a more crunchier taste. Orange chicken - delicious Mongolian beef - it was decent. Foil wrap chicken - needs more sauce. A little plain Rice and chow mein- needs way more seasoning. I know every location is different. I am used to a more seasoned and savory Chinese dish. These dishes were not oily or heavily salted. I got good portion size for my lunch special. Discovered another hidden gem. This restaurant is just 5 months new. Great dish selections and what I liked most was the lunch menu which is available on weekends too. There is also a Jade (individual) special which comes with soup and other items, you'll have to check it out. The price per dish is reasonable. Now let's talk about the food! We were hungry and started off with the won ton soup. It was served in this beautiful bowl and the flavoring to the soup was perfect. Off of the lunch menu we ordered the walnut shrimp with chow mien and the general chicken. The walnut shrimp was crispy and tasty. The general chicken was rich in a sweet and savory flavor. This restaurant is very bright and clean inside. There is a large amount of seating. It appears that large groups can be accommodated. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. The staff person was very personable. I placed a to-go order. It only took about 5 to 7 minutes to receive it. The food is fresh and served in large portions. Finally trying this place out. Super cute, simple decor inside. Laid out well, there were multiple tables full of people, all talking, but none of the conversations were really audible, you are able to hold a quiet conversation with someone, or spend a quiet meal by yourself. Came to eat as they opened at 11ish. Orange Chicken , the presentation was there but flavor wasn't. Didn't taste like old grease or anything I've experienced before but it was off. Same with fried rice, off tasting but can't put my finger on it. The chow mein was so dry , had a hard time getting the noodles. They were stuck together. Place is clean , servers are attentive and nice. They allowed us to sit and chat a while after eating. Atmosphere is inviting and open. Ordered from this new place a few weekends ago. The food was decent but the price was kinda crazy. Over $100 to feed 3 people and they gave us Chow Mein instead of the Chow Fun which was a bummer. Maybe the order taker didn't hear us. The potstickers were okay. Nothing too exciting however their crab wontons were pretty good! Chow mein was just okay. Sweet and sour pork was pretty good as well and we rounded out the order with some fried rice. I can't remember what our last protein was but it wasn't remarkable. 3/5 due to okay to "just fine food" and the price. Ouch town. I had one of the most disappointing -- and frankly disrespectful -- experiences I've ever had at a restaurant at Jade Asian Restaurant on Zinfandel in Rancho Cordova. From the moment I walked in, the tone was off. The woman at the front counter with the bowl-shaped haircut barely greeted me. I mentioned it was my first time there and that I wanted to look at the menu. Instead of welcoming me, she abruptly said, "Sit down." I looked over the menu, stepped outside to decide what I wanted (it was crowded and someone near me was coughing), and then came back in to order. When I ordered chicken fried rice, I specifically asked for -- and paid extra for -- green onions. When I got home, there were no green onions. The rice was plain, full of dry chicken chunks, and the chow mein was absolutely terrible -- greasy, flavorless, and poorly prepared. I spent over $120 on food that wasn't even close to good and still gave a $10 tip because I believe in tipping for service. Unfortunately, there was no service worth tipping for. What made it worse was the blatant disrespect I experienced when picking up my order. When the food was ready, a man carried a large box to my car, and another woman carried a smaller bag that wouldn't fit inside. As soon as I turned my back to grab my purse and keys, they began speaking in their language and laughing -- directly at me. I turned around and told them that it's rude to talk about people and laugh in another language when they're standing right there. They ignored me. I said again that their behavior was unwarranted and unprofessional, especially since I had done nothing but order politely and pay for my meal. Later, I called the restaurant to express my disappointment. The man on the phone was rude, loud, and dismissive, constantly talking over me. I told him, "I know what you said in your language about me, and you're disrespectful to think that everyone who walks in your door only knows English." He had the nerve to reply, "Then tell me what I said." I told him, "You know what you said -- so why would I repeat your dumb words?" That conversation told me everything I needed to know about their character. Not once did he apologize or take responsibility. This wasn't just bad service -- it was racist, demeaning, and unacceptable. I was treated differently because I'm African American, and it was clear from the tone, the stares, and the laughter. If you value your money and your dignity, do not go here. The food is nasty. The service is rude. The experience was racist. Food was good. Ordered a small order of Crab & cheese wontons (4), small WarWonton soup. The waitress misunderstood and brought me Wontons soup. She quickly brought me the missing chicken and one shrimp, which was plenty. The soup was good but lacked flavor, I think it may have to do with the type of water they are using. If they changed their water to filtered water for their glass of water and it would make a big difference. Plus ad ginger five spice to their soup. It was at least helped my scratchy throat. The waitress is very nice and welcoming. It has some nice booths but a little more Asian look and light music would help the ambiance. read more

We had driven by this restaurant before while it was still under construction and were excited to hear that they just opened. They serve Cantonese cuisine. My family and I came here last night, thinking we would just order to-go, but after walking in, decided to dine in. The place is spacious, clean, and beautiful, with large booths. Our waitress was Lisa and she made us feel so welcomed the entire time. She didn't just take our order and serve us our food--she treated us like we were family. We loved her hospitality. We ordered a la carte dishes and they were family-sized. We ordered their chicken fried rice ($11.95), chicken chow mein ($12.95), Mongolian beef ($15.95), teriyaki chicken ($14.95), and steamed rice ($3.50). The price point was very decent and well worth it for how large the portions were. My favorite dishes were the fried rice and chicken chow mein. I'm typically not a fried rice fan because the rice is always stale at the places I've been to but theirs was incredibly flavorful and the rice was so moist and delicious. The chow mein noodles were thick and bursting with flavor, as well. My entire family enjoyed their food, and we had plenty for leftovers to bring home. They also give you fortune cookies at the end--not the generic Panda Express type. Theirs was almost a golden yellow, thin, crispy, buttery, and flaky. We can't wait to come back here! This place by far has been one of the best Chinese food, mom and pop hole in the wall spot I've ever tried. I've stumbled on this place by a mistake.I was going to burger king to order some food, and i've seen a couple of the employees there walking out of the place for their lunch break when I asked them. Finally, Rancho Cordova has a new Chinese restaurant only 2.5 miles from my home, and it's pretty good. We recently had a lunch meal here. The menu is fairly traditional Chinese food, which is ok with me. The dishes have generous portions, are affordable and tasty. The place has been completely remodeled since Sunny Lee's closed here. It's not the typical decor - no dragon lanterns here. It's super clean, and has a modern minimalist vibe. Recommended! read more

The inside is clean and looked very nice. The food was sooooo yummy. The price was good especially for all we got. We actually had to move tables so we could fit all the food on the table. The staff was very nice and attentive. I cannot think of one negative thing. This will definitely be our go to when wanting Chinese food. This place deserves to be packed with customers. We were helped by a nice couple who were very attentive and helped navigate the menu. We decided on the "Classic Meal for Two" dinner special for $35. You get to choose an appetizer, two main dishes and a choice of rice or veggies. We chose the following: Appetizer: Pot Sticker (2) and Egg Roll (2); I'd give this a 3/5 as it wasn't great, but wasn't back Mains: Chicken Chow Mien; I'd give this a 4/5 as it was very fresh, but I used some soy sauce to elevated the flavor Orange Chicken; 5/5! The food here is incredible, certainly the best Chinese food I have found in Rancho Cordova. The employees are always friendly, and every dish I have had has been excellent. Seems to be predominantly takeout, but there are a lot of tables and a pretty good ambience inside the restaurant. Love the beef egg foo young, and I love the general's chicken and the sweet-and-sour chicken. The prices are fair given the high-quality ingredients that they use. This place is a winner! read more

Not sure if I'm the wrong here, but shouldn't combination fried rice have egg (it did have some), green onions, green peas and carrots? Look at my photo - this is what my combination fried rice looked like. The chicken in it was ok, the pork had a lot of fat, which isn't that good. It did have a a few shrimp but i took them out (they were actually not mixed in with the rice and placed on the side) and threw them away since they were undercooked and were slightly transparent. The lady taking the order was really nice, thus 2 stars instead of 1. Broccoli beef wasn't good either. Beef was ok, not that good, but the broccoli had a weird taste to it which is hard to describe, either stale or prepared in a weird way where the taste is off.
