I found Spiers a couple of moorings ago when I tried to get some eggs at 6:00 AM and all my other choices in the area did not open until 7:00AM. I found that surprising; I can't be the odd man out at 6:00AM, can I? At any rate Spires was open and ready to go, so I gave it a try. I'm happy to say that the food and service was great. I had the #4 breakfast special and it was just what the doctor ordered. The price was right at 5-bucks too. Just bacon and eggs with tasty home fries and sour-dough toast. Nothing exotic but really tasty. The joint could do with a bit of renovating it's pastel color scheme is right out of the 1980's, but even though the amenities were worn the place was immaculate. How did Stevie Wonder put it? Worn but not dirty... So mi amigos if you find yourself hungry at 6:00AM give Spires a try, it's the only place open besides Denny's, need I say more? read more

We went here just because my mother in law wanted to come. Definitely go somewhere else people. I really love this place. I don't really care that the décor is outdated or that is old-school, but that's partly the reason why I like this place. The boyfriend and I are young, and we mostly come here because there are no children here. Every other place we've had lunch is either rowdy or full of children who aren't being controlled by their parents. As a patron trying to enjoy a good meal, I don't want to deal with any of it, especially loud children!! With that being said, the Spires caters, well at least that's what it seems to me, to an older crowd. Every time the boyfriend and I come he gets a club sandwich on rye and is pleased with it. I usually always get the half sandwich and soup and salad combo, for $5. My friends and I were accosted in the parking lot while parking by the "Spires parking police". Apparently even though there was ample parking in the lot, there are spots that are specifically designated for Spires. I found it both ridiculous and insulting as a person that has frequented Sprires. No longer. I'll never go back there as their customer service has always been bad and this was just the" last straw". Been coming here for years. Well run, consistent quality food. I've enjoyed their Monday Fried Chicken special. But they seem to have changed suppliers as it's been way TOO SALTY since around June 2011. Methinks they've found those salt injected birds driving the 1966 Plymouth. I still love Spiers but can not reccomend thier Fried Chicken anymore. And checking back in on April 2013, the Fried Chicken is still WAY too salty for seniors! read more

My mom, little cousin, and I went to eat there for breakfast and it was okay but when we left I noticed I had left my scratcher that I won 25$ on so, I went back and the workers told me they didn't see it when they cleaned the table and someone must of stole it. My family used to frequent this place about twice a month for about 10 years. I hadn't returned for about 5 years until last week. I am rating this place in comparison to other chain breakfast joints such as Norms, and Coco's. I believe this place is much better because the food is ready much faster, the service is extremely great and the waiters are personable (AL is the best!) and the prices are super cheap. If ever I needed a quick bite to eat for breakfast or brunch, this would be it! The Omelets are scrumptious, and the hash browns are good. Yes, this place is outdated and has a "old diner feel" but the food is great, which would explain why it gets PACKED on weekends in the morning and around lunch time. read more

Decided to place a phone order tonight and the food wasn't fit for inmates in prison. The steak was completely dry with no flavor, baked potato had a weird brown color and looked like it was microwaved and the salad was a box of lettuce with brown spots with 2 pieces of cucumber and that's it and don't even get me started on the garlic bread. . We went to Spires before a business meeting. I had not been to a Spires in years and I can see why they have declined. There is nothing nostalgic about Spires. It is old looking, dated and needs a complete refresh. The service was good. I will say that. However the food is below par, even for a diner. The english muffin was not even toasted. I had to ask twice. The has browns had to be asked to be cooked so they were edible and the omlet was so overdone it would have bounced if dropped on the ground. Really disappointed. If it was not for the service, this place would have received one star. The owner really needs to take a look around and bring this up to snuff or another Spires will go away as many already have. read more

Great option to order from on Uber EATS. They include condiments, something that for some reason other restaurants you order off Uber Eats DO NOT despite requesting them on the comment section. Delivery is on average within 30 minutes but I'm sure this also depends on how far you live from the restaurant. I have ordered from other restaurants off Uber Eats that are much closer to me and take an hour to deliver. I've only been here on the weekends and like all places on the weekends its very busy but service is still quick. There is definitely more options on their menu at the restaurant then online but that's understandable. Bottom line is you can't go wrong whether you choose for delivery off Uber Eats or if you choose to dine in. read more

March 27,2019 I took my mm and husband for a special breakfast at this Spires location. I usually do not have a problem. We have been going to this location for years, well never again. I noticed my husband was drinking out of a coffee cup that had pink lipstick on the rim. I was very disappointed, then I noticed our water cups were dirty also. I asked for a manager, the waitress said 'there isn't one. Haa what a joke. I took a picture of the lipstick cup in case my husband gets sick for some reason I will take further action.
