    Crown Spires Burger.

The food and service at this location is excellent! I've gone here twice so far and have not been disappointed one bit. The experience is pleasant from start to finish. Both times my girlfriend and I have come here we've been seated immediately and helped right away. What I've tried so far: - Crown Spires Burger: A plump burger with bacon and onion rings. Delicious and pairs well with a side of their lovely fries. Golden and crispy, and my forever choice of side! - San Franciscan Sandwich: Perfectly toasted sourdough bread is home to a thick beef patty, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and pickles. Tastes amazing, no doubt. I paired this with their fries as well. Dip them in ranch! Service is always excellent. A server checked on us (and everyone else) frequently. No cup was ever left half full. Everyone is friendly. I highly recommend this place!

It's nice to see restaurants like this still serving breakfast lunch and dinner all day long from 6 AM to 10 PM. Food is delicious and well priced great atmosphere for the family. Can't wait to come back.

Fast service and good asked me five times if I needed anything enjoy going in there hope the owner finds a new place to open spires at

Spires Restaurant is a breakfast institution for over 20 years! The French toast was toast-worthy (thick bread, yay!), and the sausage was juicy and tasty. However, the country plate's gravy needed a pep talk (more pepper, please!) and the helpers could use some finesse (no grabby hands for hot sauce or sugar, please!). Despite some bumps, the server was top-notch. Now, rumor has it Spires is closing soon to make way for... Crap Shack? Guess that's one way to shake things up!

This is an old school diner with plenty of options , I had the Denver omelette with home potatoes and toast, it was very good, very tasty and fresh. The service was super fast and attentive , the ambiance is that of an old diner , clean inside with a whole of seating , I would definitely come here again for lunch , dinner or breakfast .

Food is very tasty! Price is reasonable. I have been here at least a couple times after recently trying it. My only complaint although as minor as it may be is the server was speaking to me. I know he could speak Spanish because I overheard him talking to his coworkers in spanish. I would order in spanish and he would refuse to respond back in spanish and continued in English. Not sure if he just wanted the practice but at least accommodate your customers.

I'm so happy there are still a couple of Spires locations around! I used to dine at one with my grandparents when I was a kid, and that location is no longer. My husband and I stopped in during breakfast hours and were happy we could order from the entire menu. We did not feel like breakfast food. I had the tuna melt with cole slaw. My husband had the turkey melt with fruit. We split both plates. Both were fantastic. I'd definitely order that again if I'm ever in the area. Service was great, and the ambiance was pure nostalgia.

Decent food spot. Service was good. Food was cool. Portions are okay. Pricing is decent. Decor is retro like a 1980s restaurant. Felt like I walked into a time capsule. Semi nostalgic and semi needs some updating. Overall, good quick restaurant.

I haven't been to Spires for any meal for quite a while. This one in Tustin is nice and cozy and was warm on a cold February morning. A buddy and I had breakfast and arrived early enough before the crowds got in. The waitress and staff were excellent - making sure our meal was okay and refilling coffee and iced tea. (Their iced tea is delicious.) My friend got the strawberry waffle (and a side of hash browns) and really enjoyed it. I got the standard eggs, hash browns, and bacon (with sourdough toast), but sadly my meal had gone cool while probably waiting the waffle to be ready. I didn't want to make a fuss (it wasn't cold - but not hot like I like it) so shame on me for not returning it. But with that said, the hash browns were perfectly cooked (I ordered well and they were) and the eggs were good and tasty. The bacon was cool and very fatty (and very salty - more than normal) and the toast was cold where you couldn't melt the refrigerated butter enough to dunk it in the eggs. I gave Spires a 4 instead of a 3 because I should have spoken up and didn't. And the service and ambiance were excellent!

Ask the Community - Spires Restaurant

Is it true this place is closing? i heard it is but i sure hope not

I believe Spires in Tustin has been permanently closed as of 8/5/25. Its sad to see another iconic place of business shut down. Its been a family tradition to take the grandparents and kids there for the last 15 years.

My husband and I consider ourselves sandwich connoisseurs, and we honestly can't believe we don't come here more often. Always loved this place but the customer service was horrible on my last order…read more I placed an order on DoorDash and paid extra for chicken to be added to my Caprese. I paid $2.85 extra for each Padina. I called in and asked if they could make sure that they use the grilled chicken instead of the deli meat. This has never been an issue in two years. The woman I spoke with, I think her name was VEE, made it a cumbersome process to try to charge me another $5 for the grilled chicken. While I understand this chicken is more expensive and I have paid the additional fee in the past, she made the process very cumbersome, all while dealing with a crying baby. I might've spent $1000 here over the years, and I told her that this might be my last time ordering given this experience. Her exact comments back was, "OK no worries." So in the future, I'll never order again and you've lost me as a customer. Congrats. You made $5 more. And lost hundreds in the process.

It's one of those places that makes you wonder why it isn't constantly packed. The restaurant is always spotless, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. One thing I really appreciate is that they bring your food to your table, which is a nice touch these days. Be sure to leave them a tip they definitely earn it. If you have a dog, you'll love the outdoor patio, so you can enjoy lunch with Fido. There's also plenty of parking, which makes stopping by easy. Another bonus is the location. It's right next to Dairy Queen and several other restaurants, so if you're craving dessert afterward, you've got plenty of options. They also have an awesome self-serve fountain drink station with a great variety of sodas and flavored drinks. I almost hesitate to write this because it feels like Irvine's best-kept lunch secret. The food is consistently excellent, the service is outstanding, and there's rarely a long line. If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out. Highly recommended!

First time here and loved everything about it…read more First of all, General Manager Jessica is suuuper nice and friendly. She greeted us with great energy, making small talks. Told us everything is made in-house, even the sauces! That's really good to know and makes me feel better about the food. She even gave me a free delicious cookie for being a first timer! And she comes around from time to time to check on us to make sure we're enjoying our food. Really nice to receive this kind of attention from a fast-casual restaurant. The Santa Maria BBQ Salad looked good but I asked her if they could substitute the chicken with the Chimichurri steak and she said "sure!" And surprisingly they did not charge extra! I love restaurants that are flexible like this. My salad bowl was SO good and filling. Lots of good stuff in it: chopped salad mix, coleslaw mix, Applewood-smoked bacon, crumbled goat cheese, corn & black bean salsa, grape tomatoes. Served with chipotle ranch dressing and blackberry BBQ sauce on the side, and a fresh baked focaccia bread. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the cold meat. I was under the impression that the meat was going to be hot. My BF got the Southwestern Sandwich. It was delicious. All the Southwestern flavors were there but not overwhelming. The sandwich was hot and juicy. For a restaurant that makes everything from scratch, their prices are very affordable. Both our meals were only $27 total.
