    We go to Mimi's frequently. We have seen the on going decline in food and service. We went in mid morning on Sunday. Not too busy, yet we waited at the front podium for a few minutes before anyone even acknowledged us to be seated. We ordered eggs Benedict, omelette and a burger. Burger patty was burnt to a crisp. The waiter was courteous and had a good attitude but the service was extremely slow and inattentive. He would disappear and took forever to request anything. The place need's renovations Perhaps it time to look for alternative place.

    Made reservations on OpenTable, even though we really didn't need to. Our server was Stephany, she was just OK. I told her to make sure that she checked us in on OpenTable because I didn't want to get any emails from them that I didn't show up. She finally did. She sat us but then didn't come around for a little bit. I had coffee which was quite good and I was treating our friends so one of them had cafe at lait. One of the guys had the bacon, avocado omelette, and the other one had farmhouse tacos. My girlfriend and I shared farmhouse tacos, along with avocado. They were made with bacon and I wish they would've had Carnitas. My girlfriend also got one of her favorite muffins and I think she ate the whole thing. We sat near the front, the place was clean.

    Still a good spot. This nostalgic place was a staple for me over 20 years ago, and went back for the first time after a long break. It's still a good place for some good old comfort food. The service was great and accommodating. The food overall is good, comforting, and satisfying.

Both the octopus and steak tartare were outstanding. The Galician smoked paprika octopus was tender, flavorful, and carried just the right hint of spice. The French steak tartare was served on crispy toasted bread with cheese sprinkled on top -- a creative and delicious twist on a classic dish. Fat of the Land truly feels like a hidden gem, and I had such a wonderful time celebrating Mother's Day with my daughter there.
