I want to give like 3.5 stars.. Love how the store is decorated! And I love that it has windows so you can see your dog getting groomed. Appointment wise it was very good, the owner was very accommodating, called in on a Saturday and I was able to book the same day. Although I thought it would take an hour and half as advised but they were really busy and the owner was nice about it. I went after an hour, but Toby didn't even start, but the owner really tried and assured that he will be next. I saw him get groomed and he looked nervous but the groomer seemed somewhat nice to him, maybe cuz I was watching? Lol. After he came out.. He looks so fresh and clean~~~ and he was so excited to be out. The owner was very nice to say do you like the cut?? Is there anything u Wana fix. I paid and she gave me some samples to try for dog food! However, when I got home..... Which I didn't notice at the store... Some of his nails were cut and some not.. Also there was a slight cut by his belly.. He had surgery and I advised to be careful.. But there is a slight cut its not too big but I was freaking out! I hope it heals soon.. I have nothing but great things to say about this place! I came here after grooming my Maltese/Papilion for a few years because I hated leaving her for hours and being put in a cage. She finally stopped letting me groom her so I knew I had to find a great groomer that would take good are of her. She's an older dog and has the normal "old lady bumps" and so I want to feel confident the groomer knows how to deal with those. I called at around 12 and they told me I could bring her in right away. The place itself is very clean and open. The actual grooming area is smaller and has big windows so you can see your dog getting groomed. The people who worked there were so kind and you could tell they genuinely love animals. The groomer, Cathy, came out and greeted me and my dog Bailey and I was able to talk to her about what I wanted. At this point Bailey was pretty matted because she hadn't let me groom her in a few months and Cathy was really understanding. She told me it would be a few hours before she could get to Bailey and even let me bring Bailey back in a few hours when she was ready. They promptly called me when she was ready and Cathy came out with Bailey and she looked GREAT! They did such a great job and Bailey seemed happy! The cost is completely fair! I will definitely be back and highly recommend everyone to try this place out! And don't forget to tip your groomer! read more

Let me just say I take no offense if you call me one of those crazy obsessed doggie moms... I have a 6 year old maltipoo who's anxiety is sky high and can be very feisty and aggressive, we needed a new groomer.. and I live very close to Splash Doggie and to be honest I just called one day and wanted to give it a try. I made sure to warn them that my dog can be a handful and if any problems what so ever to call me right away.. didn't want to stress my dog as is he's not a calm one to begin with. To keep this short BRYAN greeted me and took Floyd in and assured me not to worry. An hour later I received a call and Floyd was ready to come home. I WAS AMAZED AT HOW GOOD, clean and well groomed he was. And I was SHOCKED at how well Bryan took care of Floyd.. so for those who have a difficult dog, Splash Doggie and Bryan will be your savior. read more

Best groomer place ever, I've been to a few and never got such great customer service like this place, it's very clean and they are very gentle w your pets.. They have huge windows were your able to see what happening while your pets are getting groomed.. I don't know why the previous review explain about the hot air that was being tossed at their body, that's not true, bc I physically went in and it was cool air that was drying the dogs out.. As a new dog owner, I was looking for the best place to bring my newly adopted long haired chihuahua/pomeranian for a very much needed bath and grooming. After reading all the great reviews on yelp i decided to bring Koby here (and not petco). They were able to take us in, completely last minute, i actually walked in. They lady at the front is super nice and welcoming. The groomer's name was Debbie. She was really nice and took her time to hear my specififc needs. All i really wanted was for him to smell good and to keep his extremely long hair short and clean. Its a nice location, clean and a good size. The room where the grooming is done is lined with windows so you can actuallys see whats going on. I decided to go grab a bite to eat while they worked on koby. Koby was just about done when I headed back. He was so soft and his coat was just how we asked for it. However the groomer did let me know that he was daethhly afraid of the dryer on his head (i was not surprised), so his head was still wet which i didnt mind because i know how scared he can get. I only paid $40 or so for a full service including bath, cut, teeth cleaning, nail clipping, and ears, the whole shabam and anal cleaning. When I was driving home we realized that Kobys head fur had not been cut and his head still smelled. I had given specific instruction that i wanted the hair around his face cut because he has a lot of eyetearing. The smell was also really bad i think they just wet his head and didnt actually wash it so i decided to just stop at petco and finish the job which i was really upset about because i had high hopes for this place. At petco they informed me that he still had shampoo on him when he was rinsed and that he had a lot of gunk still in his ears. So he was definatly not bathed correctly at splash doggie. They were able to cleana and cut his head/face and dry him off. I was pleased. But I dont like that i cant see whats going on behind closed doors so i cant see how they actually treat koby. I was still addement about reusing splash doggie So i called them two days later and explained what had happened and that i had to pay another service to do the job they had not done. The lady at the front was SOOOOO nice. She apologized and said that it would never happen again and that she was going to speak with the groomer. I appreciated the apology and actually recommended them to my friend who is taking her puppy there today. They called me back a few hours later and said she had forgoten to offer me a free bath the next time i was ready to take koby in. I was not expecting any free service but will definately be returning to splashy doggie with or without the free service. I get that Koby can be a really big scardy cat and don't blame the groomer (mistakes happen) I am sure that this will never happen again. I can tell that they really care about Koby and my patronship. read more

This is by far the best place I have taken my dogs to be groomed! Their pricing is significantly lower than other places in the area, and to top it off, the service and care shown by the owner and groomers is top-notch. I took a chance and came in on a Friday morning without an appointment, and the owner happily agreed to squeeze my two dogs in for a bath and grooming. My dogs were instantly comfortable with the groomers, and the owner made sure to ask if my dogs had any medical issues so they would know if they needed to handle my dogs a certain way. On top of the stellar price and great service, they were finished with both dogs before noon - it took less than two hours to do both dogs, and they let me know right away when they were finished (I have taken my dogs to other places that have kept my dogs from morning until the very end of the business day, which is inconvenient and cannot be fun for my dogs). My dogs looked fantastic when I picked them up, and they were very at ease. I am so happy to have found this place, and I will definitely be back next time my dogs need grooming! read more

We just received our new family member on Saturday. He had some crustiness below his mouth that need to be removed and his fur around his head was too long. I call many places but they were all booked for Sunday. When I called Splash Doggie, I was able to get an appointment the same day! Yes! I took him in, and told them I needed a wash, cut, nail clipping and teeth brushed- (the whole package). I dropped him off, bought some groceries and lunch and by the time I was on the way home to put away the groceries Radar was done! He looked like a new dog, and they even put a cute bandanna around his neck. The groomer said he was very good which was great to hear. Next time I need to bring a xerox copy of shot documents. I love this place! I had tried several grooming places before I found Splash Doggie. I even took my dog to a place that was supposed to be the best in LA: Not so! To begin with, the owners are very pleasant. The store is roomy and does not feel cluttered like some other places. Splash Doggie is a great place. The people there are kind and gentle with the dogs. The groomer does a wonderful job. There is a nice waiting area where you can wait for your dog to be ready. You can even see him/her through a glass panel. I would definitely recommend this place. These guys are AMAZING! I've brought my dog Sophie here about 4 times now and have no complaints at all! The lady at the front desk is super nice and is a pleasure to converse with. I called in for a last minute, full service grooming for my dog, and they gave me a same day appointment! The groomers (at least the ones i've had) come out to greet you and take your dog. They are good at listening to requests and even offer some good suggestions. I've seen the groomer handle my dog and she was so kind, gentle, and affectionate to my little Sophie. Unlike the groomers at other places, who would rather just "get the job done", the groomers at Splash handle my dog with care. Gina the owner is very sweet and professional. Brian the groomer is the best. We have a 4+ year old basset hound. Basset hounds hate nail trimming and Barney is extremely strong. Brian is the only groomer who has been able to trim Barney's nails by himself. I always stay and watch Barney being groomed. When he trims Barney's nails, Brian is quick and efficient. So efficient I think Barney doesn't even realize his nails have been trimmed. You can tell how much Brian loves dogs. I had given up on dog groomers and had just started taking Barney to the vet for his nail trimming and occasionally for a bath. We are delighted to have found Splash and Gina and Brian. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! The owner Gina is extremely rude and unprofessional!!!! She has lost my 5 dogs as a result of her rudeness. I called to tell her one of my dogs hair was left in patches and proceeded to tell me it was his type of hair that looked with patches. Then she said she has given me a discount as I had paid with a $100 and returned me $60 then I told her I gave her a single $50 and received no change. She then went on to say well your dog is aggressive and requires special handling, however, when I picked him up she and the groomer said he did great.. she then clicked on me as I was trying to get them to fix his patches or just give me a discount on the next visit.. she said she would give me a penny And clicked on me once again. I will never bring my dogs there again.. I hate posting things on yelp but her attitude was so disturbing to me. This place is phenomenal! Excellent, small-town customer service in a clean and inviting environment. After a bad experience with my boss' dog and a different groomer, I was hesitant to start the "find a new groomer" task. Splash Doggie was the second place I called and was instantly sold on Sean's professional and courteous phone etiquette. I booked the appointment for the following day and crossed my fingers. Upon arrival, I was greeted with an enthusiasm I haven't seen in a long time by Sean, Phillip and Mo. You could tell right off the bat that these gentlemen were happy to be there and happy to be helpful. Truly, genuinely happy. This is my kind of customer service! Izzy (my boss' dog) is afraid of EVERYTHING. When we walked in, she had her tail tucked between her legs and was shaking something fierce. Against her better judgement, she followed Mo back into the grooming station to begin what she figured would be sheer torture. Mo is a miracle worker! I'm not sure how he did it, but he convinced Izzy that she was not going to die and managed to get her tail wagging through the entire grooming session. She was one happy little mutt. And I am one happy dog sitter. I originally planned to run a few errands while Izzy was getting her bath, but I ended up staying the entire time chatting with Phillip and Sean. How often does that happen in LA? Customer service friendly enough that you don't want to leave. I would highly recommend this place to anyone with a dirty animal. Great service .With recent and sudden heat wave, my poor puppy needed a summer cut,I was scared my puppy's is too early to have one since his only four months old so when I called in on sat they told me I can bring him in. I'm very very satisfied with the service and my puppy came out handsome new men and also there female Armenian employee put extra time with carefully trimming his hair which not everyone would do . This place is so close by that I had to give it a try, but I am disappointed. So i took in my dog at 1:30 and she said our groomer is busy so he'll start on your dog in 45 minutes. (i'm thinking so why did you tell me to come at this time?) anyways i dropped him off and i was pretty exact on what I wanted done. He wasn't getting a cut on his body just a trim to clean up his face and around his paws. So i called at 4:16 cause i was starting to get worried, she said another 45 minutes. I called back an hour later again she said 45 minutes later. So i ended up picking him up at 5:50ish. It took about 4 hours for a grooming that didn't even need much. His paws are trimmed almost shaved looking when his entire body is still fluffy .. poor thing. His butt is shaved which i can tell is making him so uncomfortable. I have taken him to many groomers and never seen anything like that. I def will not be going back. read more

I took my Pomeranian here for the first time, and I should have left as soon as I spoke to the groomer. She had no personality, and was rude. When I told her I wanted my Pom Pom fur to be an inch long she handed me a paper saying "these are the lengths we do". I just told the groomer I wanted her fur to be an inch long why am I being handed a paper with the same measurements I just asked for?!? I know what an inch is. Anyways I left the groomers, and I expected to be called in an hour to pick her up. I got a call less than 30 minutes after I had left. Which is a surprise since I asked for a bath, hair cut, nails, and teeth brushing which at my regular groomer takes up to an hour long. I show up to pick her up, and her teeth were not brushed, and her fur was uneven and a lot shorter than I asked for. She looked like a complete different dog. I ASKED FOR HER FUR TO BE AN INCH LONG NOT TO BE SHAVED!!! I have never had an issue with her constantly shedding, and since her fur was cut she is shedding ridiculous amount of fur. She also got super sick later on that day when leaving the groomer, and was so terrified to have people near her. WONT BE COMING BACK! I WANT MY MONEY BACK! I've never had an issue at her regular groomer I would rather pay more money. read more

We brought our maltese and labrador here for the first time. I wasn't too pleased with the cut my maltese got, but it wasn't a big deal so I let it go. However, the day after the wash, we noticed that there was a giant cotton ball left deep in my labrador's ear. I couldn't believe the negligence of this place to forget to remove an entire cotton ball. I didn't bother calling and complaining because I was literally too upset to even speak to these guys. I just learned my lesson and will not be bringing my dogs back here. read more

I've been here 4 times before and the fact that the lady in the front desk had to repeatedly confirm that my dog is considered small/medium to the groomer when clearly my dog has not grown and is considered a small dog. Also I had to pay a "special extra fee" when I was not told that I had to pay extra before hand nor was there any indication that this fee could possibly be charged on the price list. Not to mention the attitude I received from the front desk lady is something I cannot accept. This time my dog came home with knicks on his neck and on his side... not sure if the groomer is inexperienced, but short haircut does not mean cutting hair to the skin.
