    Vanilla shake
    Daisy I.

The shake was tasty and had a nice vanilla flavor that was enjoyable. Medium size cup ! There were a couple of areas where the shake could have been improved. Firstly, the temperature could have been colder. I prefer my shakes to be icy cold, but this one was just slightly above room temperature, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the texture of the shake could have been smoother. Despite these drawbacks, I must say that considering it was made at school, it was still a good effort by the student staff . The flavor was on point, and it was evident that the ingredients used were of decent quality, you can see them making it from the ice cream . The sweetness level was just right, not too overpowering like most places loaded with sugar . Overall it's a 7/10 :)

In loving memory of Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, & Carl's Jr.-- oh, and that one random refrigerated aisle I used to get questionable salads from-- you're all sorely missed. In efforts to promote healthy eating, Davis booted the classic college-kid-cheapo-eats in favor of creating their own, bicycle-themed burger joint. Spokes is a good, solid attempt at fast food for students (compared to other UCD spots), but doesn't hold a candle to its predecessors' popularity. I've been here a 2-3 times when stuck at the Silo and reluctant to pay food truck prices. Service has always been average, the servers are pretty friendly if a little forgetful at times. I've ordered the Free Wheeler (yay veggie option!!) when scurrying between classes and usually they'll assemble it within 5 mins, even with the lunch rush. FREE WHEELER: Quality consistency varies a lot. The burger I had today was odd-- cold buns that probably came straight out of the sleeve, really dry portobello mushroom and veggies, ambiguously tangy sauce. Sometimes the mushroom-sauce-vegetable ratio works, today, not so much. The single slice of American cheese is just another odd, salty-sticky addition to the mess. It's probably not fair to compare campus eateries to "real" ones LOL-- Maybe their meat burgers taste better, who knows. I don't really recommend this spot unless you absolutely have to LOL. I like that it's affordable and bike-themed (#justDavisthings), but that's about it. Save your $5 for something else.

Shakes are good but the dry chicken is not. The wait can be a long time too. Only reason they have business is because it's in the silo

The employees were very nice and helpful as well. They have a large menu of drinks and snacks including soy pudding, Vietnamese coffee, and waffles. If you are somebody that's new to Asian drinks and desserts I would say that this is a good introduction to those drinks and desserts BUT it is 3 times sweeter than what they normally are. I ordered a soy pudding and I don't believe there was a sweetness level adjustment option and it was very very sweet. The level of sweetness would be something that younger kids probably enjoy. We also tried a hazelnut Vietnamese coffee which had a very strong coffee flavor but was also very very sweet. We couldn't finish our drinks but if you're somebody with a major sweet tooth, you would enjoy it here.

A lot of folks come in all at once so staff are really working as fast as they can. I got a mango matcha and interestingly it's topped with a scoop of matcha ice cream. I personally prefer it on the side maybe? Cuz it's kinda hard to eat the ice cream on top of a drink. The matcha is on the milky and creamy side (it's not good or bad just depends on what you like). I enjoyed my drink and definitely wanna come back again and also try more drinks!

I normally like their food and drinks. Today was the first time I hated my drink (crème brûlée Oreo…read moremilk tea) and also hated my son's drink (watermelon lychee green tea with added lychee chunks and added popping boba). Also this time they were very busy and it was cold, so I waited in my car. That was a big mistake because apparently the notice that your order is done doesn't come immediately when your order is actually ready. My chicken was ice cold and my drinks had been sitting there. So now I know, gotta pay attention to the drink status and now I also know there's only a few of their drinks I actually like. I don't like any of their drinks with slimy/gloopy additions. These are my drinks that I really love: - pomelo mango - tenghulu yogurt - matcha strawberry and matcha mango - sticky rice milk tea (no boba) - runner up is the coco mango cloud drink (ordered without mochi) - the pistachio chocolate drink is ok if you love everything Dubai chocolate - I hated the taro milk tea and anything with slimey additions Their food is only ok. I really liked their popcorn chicken the first time I had it and it was piping hot and they had the basil leaves. Since then I have never seen it come with the basil again and it has never been as good (too salty, moist/greasy and doesn't taste as good if they don't get it to you hot). I got the takoyaki and it's not good at all. The fish balls are ok and the fries ok and the sausages were my favorite (even though it's too expensive for two mini sausages). So this is a too long post just to say they basically this shop is just mediocre and I'll still come back but it's very expensive and there's hits and misses. The quality/consistency is all over the place depending on who is on duty behind the counter and how busy they are etc... next time I go I will try to take photos.

I got the grapefruit yakult drink with lychee jelly at 25% sweetness and less ice. I was looking for a caffeine free drink. This really fit the bill. I found it to taste really good, I'll be a little sweet for my taste, but I also prefer my drinks on the less sweet side. The shop itself is fine, nothing really to write home about but clean enough. It's a little bit cramped because they have like a clothing rack and stuff in there, but it works. I liked the little outdoor seating area. The staff and service was fine. Nothing really to write home about but nothing bad either! I do think the owner of the shop was there when I stopped by and having a conversation with another staff member, but didn't bother me at all. Looking forward to coming back and trying their other drinks. It looks like they have some really interesting and creative things. Four stars because I thought it was pretty good, but nothing quite stand out yet.

Our two drinks with toppings came out to be $10 and ready within 5-7 minutes of ordering. We ordered their Teabo Signature Black Milk Tea with boba and a Custom Blended Fruit Tea with crystal boba. I wanted to try their boba for sure since all of the reviews mentioned how divine it is. And I was happily surprised with the quality of their boba so late into the night. The texture was still very soft and chewy, not too sweet, and the portion of the boba was generous!! The black milk tea was strong and silky, I changed the sweetness to 75% and it was perfect. The ambiance is dark, dimly lit, lots of pandas (paintings and decor) everywhere. It was really quiet when I visited, I saw a couple students working on homework. And a family enjoying boba and various finger food snacks they offer. Would definitely come back whenever I'm in the area!!
