    Vanilla shake
    Daisy I.

The shake was tasty and had a nice vanilla flavor that was enjoyable. Medium size cup ! There were a couple of areas where the shake could have been improved. Firstly, the temperature could have been colder. I prefer my shakes to be icy cold, but this one was just slightly above room temperature, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the texture of the shake could have been smoother. Despite these drawbacks, I must say that considering it was made at school, it was still a good effort by the student staff . The flavor was on point, and it was evident that the ingredients used were of decent quality, you can see them making it from the ice cream . The sweetness level was just right, not too overpowering like most places loaded with sugar . Overall it's a 7/10 :)

In loving memory of Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, & Carl's Jr.-- oh, and that one random refrigerated aisle I used to get questionable salads from-- you're all sorely missed. In efforts to promote healthy eating, Davis booted the classic college-kid-cheapo-eats in favor of creating their own, bicycle-themed burger joint. Spokes is a good, solid attempt at fast food for students (compared to other UCD spots), but doesn't hold a candle to its predecessors' popularity. I've been here a 2-3 times when stuck at the Silo and reluctant to pay food truck prices. Service has always been average, the servers are pretty friendly if a little forgetful at times. I've ordered the Free Wheeler (yay veggie option!!) when scurrying between classes and usually they'll assemble it within 5 mins, even with the lunch rush. FREE WHEELER: Quality consistency varies a lot. The burger I had today was odd-- cold buns that probably came straight out of the sleeve, really dry portobello mushroom and veggies, ambiguously tangy sauce. Sometimes the mushroom-sauce-vegetable ratio works, today, not so much. The single slice of American cheese is just another odd, salty-sticky addition to the mess. It's probably not fair to compare campus eateries to "real" ones LOL-- Maybe their meat burgers taste better, who knows. I don't really recommend this spot unless you absolutely have to LOL. I like that it's affordable and bike-themed (#justDavisthings), but that's about it. Save your $5 for something else.

Shakes are good but the dry chicken is not. The wait can be a long time too. Only reason they have business is because it's in the silo

I just want to say thank you! All the staff was smiles and happy. It was a special kind of energy that is lacking from most other businesses. Whoever the manager and team was/is on shift today Thursday February 5, 2026 around 3:00 pm just know you guys are rocking it ! I loved seeing all your smiles. The best customer service. Hands down. And that energy flows through your work as well. My whole family enjoyed the meal. Bun was warmed and had that nice crisp on the edges and tomato and lettuce were fresh crisp and juicy. And I swear my burger looked better than the ones in the ad. Of course I don't do it justice with my amateur photography skills but what a sight! I only regret not taking the picture before I bit into it. But I couldn't resist. We will keep coming back.

In-N-Out has the routine down and while it's fun treat every once in a while, it's nice to keep it to once in a while. Ambiance- Busy AF. See previously mentioned comment on parking lot. That wasn't enough, so I witnessed a group of kids crossing the street with Dutch Bros. cups in hands. I could see them clearly because there were no seats indoors and we sat outside. Service- optimal! Because we sat outside, one of the workers brought food out to us. On top of that, I brought the dog...who got her own water bowl brought to her outside. I'm not going to get all gushy about it because it really is a fast food joint doing fast food things well. They've had the practice and that company knew what it was doing way back in the 1900s. Prices are up but nothing out of reason. You know, normal stuff.

At the register or at 1 of 2 kiosks. There is plenty of inside seating with a small outdoors patio dining area. We ordered: Lemon/Pepper Wings (Large $18.99) - really crispy and juicy. Good size wings. Good flavor. We got ours with Ranch... note, the dressing was a bit on the watery side. Crispy onion ($6.99) - extremely crispy crust... cannot even taste the onion. If you like fried batter, this is for you. Goes well with the Ranch dressing. I got the chili onion burger ($11.99). Messy as heck...decided to go the civilized route... ate it with a knife and for...saving the top bun to mop up any leftover chili. Love the raw white onions and cheese on top. Good flavor, bean to beef ratio is pretty good. Bathrooms are located past the video games... mens room on the right and women's room to the left. Men's room had only 1 sink/ 2 urinals and 2 stalls. They were out of soap when we were there. Room was spacious and clean. The restrooms appeared to be shared by both the bar and restaurant.
