This place is such a gem! Delicious and amazing take on Asian fusion! We got the *beef and broccoli* and the broccoli had a great charcoal burn on it. And the *dan dan noodles* with subtle but present Szechuan flavor that was cooled down with the *Pandan collins*. Portions are good, one dish is just the right amount per person

This place was super cute inside. Clean establishment and cool decor. Outdoor seating is nice but it is right next to the semi busy parking lot. The food I ordered was great. I could've used a few less bay leaves in the curry/removed before serving, but overall it hit the spot. Excited to try other menu items.

The chicken here was phenomenal. All of the flavors in the Spicy Fried Chicken dish worked so well together. When we got here the line was long but it moved relatively quickly. No issue with taste or service. No issue with seating as there were plenty of spots to sit outside or inside. My issue is bang for your buck. I found that the portions were on the smaller side and the cost was on the high side. Wish either the portions were larger or the cost lower

Fast counter order that asks for tip ahead of time. Vibe ~ tight seating, a few booths. Sort of like a food truck food with indoor seating. Casual and loud during dinner. Food ~ tasty, spicy, portions similar to medium sized tapas. A little pricey overall but would dine here again.

Obsessed with this place! You order at the counter and then they seat you, allowing for great organization and quick service! I got the crispy chicken which was so flavorful and delicious with great heat. The cucumber salad side added a nice freshness to cut the heat. The vibe inside was so cute. I will absolutely come here every time I'm in town!

Great food and generous portions! I had the Dan Dan noodles, which were spicy and greasy and just delicious. The kimchi was just ok though, would pass next time since it was a little watery and not fermented long enough for $6. Family members had the nachos (yummm!! highly recommend), the yellow curry (very good, lots of veg), and broccoli beef (not super saucy but beef was nice and charred, also very good). Old fashioned was good according to family, and the mint apple lemonade was bright and not too sweet. Inside was cute, outside tables were ok. Staff were friendly. Would definitely come back!

Spork is open til about 9 I believe which makes it great for late eats. Atmosphere is decent - music, cool buzz - clean and well put together. Clear on where to go to order and pickup. The dude who took my order was SUPER helpful - since I had not eaten here before, I didn't know what was good. He provided recommendations based on his likes, popularity and portion size. We got ... forgot the name but it was a beef and broccoli with veggies - super good. And chilaquiles - holiday style (red a green sauce). Both were flavorful and hearty - very filling. Price was decent - I think it was less than $40 for both meals which, today, is great for two entrees. It was quick to come out - since it was take out and close to closing I waited in their seating area and they had water available for me - love that. We will be back to try other foods the next time we are in Bend! Well done, Spork, well done.

This place is so popular! Which is why I went even though I was pretty sure they only have spicy food- I hoped maybe something could be prepared mild or maybe I was misinterpreting. I just kept hearing they are great for gluten-free options! We went at 12:15 on a Tuesday and the line was long! I like how the organize seating though. I really didn't think we'd get to sit but the staff works it out while you wait to order. At the cashier I asked if anything on the menu isn't spicy and he told me no, the whole menu is spicy. Wow. He said my only option was fried chicken with the sauce on the side. It was certainly an impressive gluten-free fried chicken but very plain without the sauce. I quickly dabbed the chicken on the sauce for each bite and even then my mouth and lips were ablaze. Oh well. If you don't like spicy and you're reading this, I just saved you some money!

On most of our visits to Bend we're usually on the hunt for new places or out-of-our-comfort zone menus, but somehow we always end up here for a meal. They just do everything up so well and the flavors are always unique, year after year. Came for happy hour this last time, and ordered up the wonderfully flavorful Mala Cauliflower app, which had a nice spicy kick, but alas, it was a hard pass on the garlic and chives cakes, which were flavorless and dense...and small. Our tacos though -- chicken tinga, carnitas and tofu -- hit the mark all around, and the service here is always tops -- they even bus your table. The vibe here is always super chill, and sophisticated, yet still laid back. I should take a star off for the Garlic cakes on this trip, but I've had so many good meals here over the years I'm thinking the occasional misstep shouldn't be dinged.

While visiting Bend, we were on a quest to find a location for family dinner and we ended up at Spork. You walk up to place your food order (menu items are plentiful and they all sound like they would be delicious) and then go find a table. Staff members bring your food to the table, then take care of you from that point. It was quite busy, but we were informed it is usually that way at Spork. Once we got our food and started to dig in, we quickly realized why Spork is so popular - the food is amazing!!! The next time we come to visit Bend, Spork will be on our list for a family dinner outing.

I came here on a Wednesday night around 8. It was actually pretty busy which was a little surprising since they were gonna be closing in an hour. You have to place your order at the counter and then they'll bring it out to you. Since I was done alone, it was kind of weird because there was no bar seating. I did opt to sit inside. I got the shrimp and pork belly, yellow curry and also the jardin de Puebla drink. My drink was OK, but I would've liked a little bit more tequila. Haha that's what she said. The shrimp and pork belly yellow curry was amazing. It was flavorful and delicious. I couldn't finish my whole meal so I ended up taking leftovers back with me to my Airbnb. They have containers near the water and silverware station inside. I'm not necessarily a fan of the set up here because I'm not sure how you can get more drinks once you're sitting down. It wasn't really a problem with me since I was dining alone. I just kind of think that having servers would make more sense in this restaurant.

My Spicy Fried Chicken was delicious. The chicken was high-quality white meat, not gutty or fatty at all. It was served with a generous portion of cucumber salad. You can choose kimchee or cucumber salad as a side. The chicken had been tossed in the sauce but other than that, there was no sauce present. I asked the lady bringing food to tables if I could have more sauce. She cheerfully and promptly brought me a generous portion of sauce. This was an excellent experience. My partner ordered Chilaquiles. There's a choice of red or green sauce. The green sauce was flavorful. The dish was nice and juicy, with a generous amount of toppings. We ordered Mexican Coke (desirable because made with cane sugar instead of the usual corn syrup) and their homemade almond soda. The almond soda was pleasant but it didn't go well with our food. The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the dessert we ordered, the Tres Leches Cake. Being from Miami, I've had Tres Leches Cake dozens of times and I've made it myself at home. Tres Leches translates as 3 Milks. The cake derives its name from the fact it is soaked in a sauce made from 3 different kinds of milk: evaporated, condensed, and cream or whole milk. This cake was bone dry! Do not call a cake a 3 Milk Cake when that is not what it is. I feel ripped off. Furthermore, the cake just was not good. It was flavorless and dry. All employees we encountered were super courteous. I love their self-service chilled water station. The bathroom and dining room were very clean.

The catfish tacos are especially delicious today. I've been in love with their fish tacos since they were a food truck, and in the winter when they were not open I would dream about them. I am so happy they have opened a restaurant. Also, The bean thread stir fry thing is too good. And the curries... Oh good lord. I love spork. read more

Amazing! Great service! Our family had the pleasure of eating here while visiting Bend. We had the Dan Dan Nodles, Spicy Fried Chicken, tacos and the West African Peanut Curry. The food looked so good that people standing in line were asking what we ordered. My husband said the tacos were the best he's ever had and, let's be honest, there are good tacos out there. We talked about this meal all the way home; it was that good!! Btw- you can't grab a table until after you've ordered but the staff has perfected their seating process. The line was wrapped around the restaurant to order but no one ever had to wait for a table. It was impressive. read more

What a cool idea. Cook comfort food and do it in both Asian and Mexican ways under one roof. We ordered 2 things off seasonal menu and the grilled sweet corn was outta this world. The Dan Dan Pork Noodles were good-interesting flavors but really good. Spicy Fried Chicken with Kimchi could have been a tad spicier for me but overall well done. Taking drink orders while waiting was smart. We will be back next time we are in town. Thank you!! read more

Definitely my go to for take out in West Bend. Would be a 5 star, but the food is not always consistant. I love the coconut curry, but never know just how spicy it will be or if the beans in the dish will be undercooked (I just throw them away as they do not complement the dish at all). read more

One of Bend's best, in my opinion. Whatever you order you will be presented with a flavorful, fresh, worldly, well-portioned and delicious meal or snack. The chef calls upon influences from South America to Asia to create a truly eclectic menu. My favorites include; the curries, spicy fried chicken and the lomo saltado. Oh and pepitas and sweet potatoes w/ chimmichurri make for a tasty appetizer. And you cannot forget about the cocktails. For a cocktail snob like myself, I was so thrilled to see that they chose high-quality spirits for their drinks. They use interesting mixers like tamarind juice, lavender and drinking vinegars to make drinks that compliment the food splendidly. My favorites include; the Java Sour (w/ bourbon), the Shambala and the Old Fashioned. read more

Spicy fried chicken is not what I was going to order but glad I did it was a the best! The tacos were good but a little on the dry side for me as was the pork on the salad so it could have been better. But over all the flavors were great and the food was good I would defiantly go back. Very cool and kid friendly... noise level high enough kids are not too disturbing to others if they start fussing. read more

Excellent food, great ambiance, friendly staff, nice outdoor area, solid drinks choice (alcoholic and not alcoholic). The food tasted both healthy and very flavorful and delicious, which is rare. I got a stir fry dish and the rice was particularly good, the stir fry really delicious. The only thing I didn't like was that the steak was a bit tough. I tried a bit of a friend's chicken dish and the chicken was super tender but not oily - much better than most chicken i find. They should probably up their steak game tho if they want to offer it. read more

Just had a really pleasant experience at Spork! The atmosphere was laid back and friendly with a great choice of music and easy going service. I had a hard time choosing a main dish with a plethora of delicious options, and eventually chose the pork belly sando. It was a pretty brief wait for the food which ended up being well portioned, flavorful, and delicious! Fully intend to come back again. read more

I am on the fence between a 4&5 stars on Spork. I will lean toward the 4 since the wait was a bit much. Hip joint, a few too many "Lumbersexuals" for my taste but the crowd fit the ambiance. The Korean Spicy Fries Chicken was perfectly done and boneless so no problem eating it right up. I got the cucumber salad as a side, this is the way to go because the tartness of the salad cuts the sweetness of the chicken. Nice menu, not too many choices, good margarita, cute bar with nice selection of drinks. read more

Their Thai beef salad is wonderful! I went again tonight and tried the special, the dan dan noodles. They were ok... don't think I would order them again. Next time I'm for sure getting the lomo saltado. I tried my friend's the last time I was here and I loved it. Note to self: always go with your gut. The noodles were fine, but honestly not a ton of flavor happening. It was a bit one note taste, if you know what I mean. I also tried their fried cauliflower tonight and that was wonderful. read more

Outstanding food with unique flavors. I was worried they were trying to do too many different cuisines, but everything we had was delicious! I had the Peruvian Lomo Saltado stir fry with beef, rice, and a fried egg. My daughter had the peanut stew with chicken, which was a green curry; and we had a side order of spicy carrots--yum! Highly recommend all of it. We had their kombucha to drink, which was just the right level of refreshing. read more

Decided to give this place a try while in town for work. Looked like a neat fusion restaurant. My boss and I ordered the shredded chicken rice bowls with cucumber salad, fried cauliflower for appetizer and raspberry iced matte tea for me and mint limeade. Normally I would have a good and bad with new places but everything from customer service to food was amazing. I really look forward to eating here again to try the other items on the menu. read more

Be prepared for a long wait in line to order and get your number before you are seated. The staff is very friendly with hippy chat. Amazing food. I recommend the rice and watermelon salad, if available, and the side of fried chicken. Get the sauce for the chicken on the side so you can spice as much or as little as you want. read more

This was our first Bend culinary experience when we moved to town, and it was a delightful introduction. We loved the funky space. It was crowded, but service was cheerful and prompt, considering. While the handsome man was in the mood for the West African peanut curry (delicious!), I had a Costa Rican pork dish with plantains. Everything was great, including the beer and cider. Prices are more than fair for the quality. A++, would come again. read more

Cannot get enough....The food is amazing and so is the ambiance. The staff is all awesome and our food is always out fast! So far the Korean BBQ and the rice bowl is our favorite. I really like their selection of drinking vinegars too. So glad we found you Spork! read more

I met up with a friend here on a weekday afternoon. The line was really long so I knew I must be in the right spot. I really didn't mind waiting and the line moved very fast. I had a curry with pork belly(kind of drooling just remembering) it was very delicious, flavorful and spicy. It's pretty noisy which is a perk for me because I have a pretty noisy baby who didn't disturb a soul in there. I really enjoyed the vibe, the service and the food. I'm looking forward to working my way through their menu. read more

Spork is definitely my go-to meal spot when visiting Bend, Oregon. I make it a point to grab a bite at least once every trip out. The ethnic fusion dish selection is one of a kind in this cozy town. The flavors and spices are very on point in such dishes as the spicy chicken, pozole rojo, West African peanut curry, carnitas sando, and many more. I highly recommend to anyone that decides to venture out to central Oregon. read more

This was AMAZING!!!!!!! I totally would eat there and definitely suggest it . But if you don't like a little bit of heat then this is not for you. It's not really a lot of heat just a little bit. definitely won't do this to you: but it will be just enough to tickle your taste buds!!!! read more

My favorite restaurant meal in Bend. When I'm feeling down, the fried chicken cheers me up. When I'm in a great mood, the fried chicken is a great way to celebrate. When I want to overeat I order side of fried chicken, side of cucumber salad, and a grilled corn. I never thought I would pay $5 for a corn cob, but after trying it you will probably agree that might pay more than $5. read more

This place reminded me of the quirky restaurants you see in the alleys of Shanghai, Taipei, or Bangkok. Eclectic art haphazardly hanging about. Diverse, young crowd. And the food absolutely amazing! Somebody over there has a knack for putting together combinations of exotic flavors that are out of this world. They encourage bussing your own tables, which keeps the line moving (and their labor costs down). The line was probably 15 minutes, but well worth the wait. read more

Established in 2009.

Spork started in 2009 as a globally-inspired green-conscious mobile streetfood kitchen housed in a 1962 Airstream Tradewind that sailed the streets and events of Central Oregon serving creative delicious global cuisine and was voted Best Chow Cart in Bend every year in the Source Reader Poll. In 2013 we added a 50 seat (plus patio) brick and mortar casual counter service location on NW Newport Avenue (at 10th) in Bend that's festive and open daily for lunch, dinner, and cocktails and aims to bring inspired food, drink, ambiance and hospitality to a casual setting. The service is always great and the people working there are genuinely friendly and kind. It feels like a real family restaurant where they're happy you showed up. The bar is also a fantastic place to grab a drink or margarita, play a little video poker, and end up talking to half the locals in Bend. Somehow you go in for dinner and leave feeling like you attended a neighborhood reunion. The food is exactly what you want when you're craving Mexican: hot, good, and a lot of it. I have never once left there hungry or disappointed. Plates show up looking like they were designed for a lumberjack who skipped lunch. They recently remodeled the bar, which looks nice... but personally I believe Mexican restaurants should be built once in about 1987 and then left exactly the same forever. It's part of the charm. That said, the remodel won't stop me from going back regularly. Great people, great food, strong margaritas, and the kind of place that makes Bend feel like home. Five stars all day.

Given the meal was a bit of a splurge for us, I essentially ignored the prices, which are not trivial by any means. Fine dining entails spending money. Zydeco has a ton of reviews and as the menu apparently doesn't change, I'll just say everything we ordered was great. Cocktails too. The Bramble Down is exquisite. Service was top tier as well. Timely, attentive, professional without being stiff. The capstone to our experience involved the bill. We actually had a gift card from 2017 - nine years ago. While it certainly didn't cover the whole bill, or even half, it was a nice way to defray costs. Unfortunately, when the server ran the gift card, it showed no balance. Not sure why but perhaps over the years, the card had been erased by stray EMF. Despite that and given we provided the card receipt, the restaurant honored the card for the full amount anyway. We were visiting family in the area and had an evening to ourselves, so we decided to go out to dinner. We were very intrigued by Spork's "asian/mexican fusion" idea and decided to go there. I am very glad we did! We really enjoyed it! A note on the food: I wouldn't necessarily call this place asian mexican fusion. I don't feel like the dishes really "fused" anything. Rather, it is a place that offers updated versions of both asian and mexican dishes. And they do it very well!! I had the carnitas sando. It was basically a carnitas taco in sandwich form, with an egg. The flavors were great. I don't know that the egg added much. I think the heat from the sandwich or the carryover heat from the egg cooked the yolk so much that it kept the egginess from being integrated into the sandwich. But I really enjoyed it! My husband had the spicy fried chicken with kimchee. He loves kimchee. He also really enjoyed the chicken. The sauce was delicious and the fried coating still had a really good texture to it, even with the sauce on top. Both of us felt like the serving sizes were just right. We were full without feeling stuffed. We both had drinks as well. I had the tamarind drinking vinegar and my husband had the agua fresca. Both were very good. I've had that drinking vinegar on my amazon wishlist for about a year and this was the push I needed to actually buy it. A note on the atmosphere: It is obviously a very popular restaurant because it was very crowded. When you go in, you initially stand in line to order before you sit down. I looked around and thought "There is no way there will be a place to sit by the time we order!" But they seem to have the flow down really well and we had no trouble finding a place. The decor of the place is cute and kinda funky. My biggest problem with the place was how freaking loud it is. There is nothing in the decor to act as a noise absorber (I'm sure that isn't a word but it is all I can think of right now....) and with that many people in there, it gets loud. I have trouble filtering out background noise and I really couldn't hear anything my husband was saying unless he leaned over and said it right in my ear. Also, it is a "bus your own table" kind of place. Which I don't mind, but I know some people who hate that. read more

I just bought a small house on NW Newport and have been learning the walking area all around it. Three blocks from my house is SPORK, the most amazing little food spot around. I've been there several times since my move, and it never ceases to be the most delicious and different meal of my week. Spork doesn't just offer unusual varieties of dishes, they offer fresh, organic and beautiful foods. Spork is one of those places you can't ask for a recommendation because every single thing on the menu is unique, flavorful and delicious. I ordered the Carnitas Sando last night and that was the last thing I needed to try to have everything on their menu- and it did not disappoint! It was so tender, moist and came with the yuka chips inside, which I usually get as a separate appetizer. I love that they really emphasize local with their drinks available from their beer list to wine list and flavorful cocktails. I was in search of some really, really GOOD food. After a Saturday night of drinking, I needed something nourishing. This place has the best dishes with completely fresh, organic ingredients. I had the rice bowl with tofu and cucumber salad, and it really hit the spot. They even have kombucha on tap. The interior of this joint is really neat. Mellow lighting and beautiful world-themed decorations make this place a great spot to hang out.
