This place was incredible, had the yams as a side to the carnitas sando. Both were amazing and I was very impressed, will definitely be back. First time going to Spork a few nights ago. When I arrived there was a long line, not to worry they serve you drinks while you wait! I ordered the spicy fried chicken (Bomby) with rice and a cucumber salad. Food is amazing! atmosphere is nice and good location. One thing I didn't like is the dish is 99% rice. My cucumber salad was placed on a bed of rice to make it seem like I was getting more and it was disappointing (probably 4 bites of salad). I also only got 5 pieces of chicken. Once again the entire plate was bedded with rice and them food placed on top of it...I will definitely be asking for the rice on the side next time. 2 beers and a fried chicken meal is $27. I finished my entire meal. For that price I feel like I should be able to take a bit home. Either way food tasted amazing and the service was fantastic! read more

It was my first time here and I decided on one of my favorite dishes- lomo saltado. Came with side of white rice and was topped with an over easy egg, sour cream, green onions and radish.. so good!! This one did not disappoint. Unfortunately, I was excited for the kimchi but it seemed a little bland. My boyfriend got the grilled vegetable coconut green curry with pork belly as the protein. When we ordered the cashier warned us the curry would be spicy, but to our (well mostly my) disappointment it actually wasn't spicy at all. But it was a good plate! Spork is a place where I like the food if your looking for a light snack. I rated it a three star because to me the servings are extremely small. I think for most people it probably works out ok but for me they're too small. It also makes me feel like I'm in another country at a outdoor market or something like that. It's good for when I want something really different but not so good when I'm looking for something more normal. So I have to be almost full and in a certain type of mood when I visit Spork. I think if you are looking for a quick, somewhat tasty bite, with a smaller than normal serving size and you want to feel like your in a foreign country then Spork may be for you. read more

This place is awesome! Small local joint in Bend, but very very busy. I walked in, and there was a line, and looking at the menu I can see why. I ordered the spicy pork noodles and the small Thai salad. The food was amazing, very flavorful with blends of various spices from Thailand to India. Its hard to believe this place is in a little strip mall building as its more hippiesque with amazing fusion food from all over the world. The high light for me was the korean fried chicken served with either a cucurmber or kimchee salad. Dishes run about $10-$12. Low key, order at the counter and be served. Kind of reminds me of a healthier Bollywood Theater option in Bend. read more

A quick, fresh option when you're looking for something that's not fried. I liked the green curry, but wished it was a bit spicier. I was really impressed by the trout - a delicious addition! The peanut curry was good, but not at all spicy. I think a kick would have brought it to another level. Cucumber salad was nice and tangy, but the kimchee wasn't very impressive. Portion sizes for both sides were very generous. Overall, I would say I'd be willing to try more of their menu. I would almost give 4 stars instead of 3 simply because of how easy it was to get food here...will have to see how my next visit goes! read more

Excellent food. As it was my first time here, I had a difficult time deciding what to have - and had lots of recommendations from other customers in line. I ended up going with the West African Curry with Chicken. I enjoyed it very much! My friend got the Spicy Chicjen dish with the Cucumber Salad, she raved about it - and it looked fantastic! Spork has an amazing perfected menu full of flavor! I remember Spork back when it was a food cart and the transition to restaurant was an awesome idea that resulted in another level of food! They have what you might consider a "smaller" menu, but nothing on the menu is wasted space. The chef has taken their time to refine the dishes on the menu and it I have never been disappointed. They have great accommodation for dietary restrictions too. I have mostly stayed to the crispy fried chicken over the years because it is that awesome! (Think more of an Asian fusion influenced chicken dish and not kfc!) my husband is a big fan of the lomo and we have tried assorted appetizers over the years. The only negative that I can give is that one time my chicken was very fishy/shrimpy after tasting - I hate seafood so it turned me off for a bit- but out of dozens of visits it was only the 1x- so if it was a problem it has been fixed :) The atmosphere is relaxed and has influences from the countries the dishes are based on - unique. If you are not familiar with the west side of bend it can seem a bit pretentious - but don't let that stop you! Eat the chicken now!!! (Unless you are vegan... Eat the tofu!) read more

the wait time is just ridiculous and doesn't benefit anyone, not even the restaurant. So if your idea of a Friday evening dining out is to stand in line for an hour and THEN wait some more for a table, they came up with a good system for you. Because you are not allowed to sit down before you order at the cashier, so you will spend more time standing and waiting then eating. And when you finally sit down, you will experience the result of no rules at that point: kids will be knocking your plate and drinks off, it can easily become a madhouse. Been wanting to try this place for a while after reading such great reviews! Their staff were all so friendly and nice and their food was delicious! Such an interesting menu, I've never been anywhere like this before. We went in close to 9:30pm and I was very impressed with the service since I could tell they were all getting ready to close. Also seeing one employee cleaning every cap and bottle of hot sauce really blew my mind. So many restaurants let them get disgusting, it was nice to see someone cleaning them for a change. I LOVE SPORK! We had the Lomo Saltado (peruvian steak and rice) and a thai inspired sandwich that were both out of this world and left our tastebuds dancing. The decor is cute. I like the whole order at the cashier and its brought out to your table thing, although it gets crowded during meal times...you need to keep those eyes peeled for a table. Its worth it! But if you go in "off hours" it's lovely. The menu is unique in offering items not found elsewhere, and everything item we've tried has been great.
