Gross food, worked there for over a year. My aunt ordered a potato for me to go last week and it was dry, and disgusting. Quite frankly I could've made a better one myself. The bread was soggy, and there was very little bacon or cheese on my potato. All in all, I recommend eating at home. The staff however is very nice, but illy coordinated. During my time employed, we ordered a massive amount of food only to be missing meat, sauce, sides, and bread that were paid for. We ended up getting the missing pieces of the meal elsewhere, promised by the company that we would receive reimbursement. Never did got the gift card and left the company soon after. I applaud the CEO for his kind nature, but management is very uncoordinated and the restaurant is noticeable unsanitary. Hopefully things get better at the Cypress location. We won't be returning even for takeout. However the Katy location is excellent and there IS a HUGE difference in the food quality. Such a disparity in quality should say something to management. As for employment, rarely do high school employees receive wage increases as advertised but the grade bonuses were great. So I ordered a baked potato, went in to pick it up. The little girl behind the counter was obviously ready to leave and was not the happiest person there. We had asked for no chives, she said here's your baked potato with no chives, opened the box saw there was chives, made eye contact with me and then quickly shut the box. and pushed them towards me. Ok whatever, I can pick the chives off and I had a strong feeling this is the kind of person who would spit in someones food if I made a complaint. So I grab my stuff, get in my car to leave and realize I didnt see the side of bbq sauce I requested. So I go back in to ask for a side of BBQ sauce. I ask her and she informs me it was in the box. OK evidently the cost of a 6oz cup of sauce must really high because we went back and forth a few times where I said I didnt think so and I didnt see it and she basically wanted me to go check to see if it was there. For a 6oz side of sauce. I had no idea that Spring Creek BBQ sauce was such a high commodity item that they can't afford to be just handing it out to anyone, especially me since Im obviously running a sauce black market and am trying to cheat spring creek out of their valuable sauce... 6oz at a time.... Eventually a supervisor popped her head out and was like Oh you just want a side of sauce? Small or Large? and I was like small and that was it. Not only was it frustrating and embarrassing but the food wasn't great either. so way to train those employees Spring Creek!! My family and I went there for lunch on February 2nd after church. We have eaten there before on a few occasions and have not had any issues. This time, however, after an hour, my stomach was turning in knots and within another hour, I was experiencing vomiting and diarrhea. My husband had the same symptoms several hours after eating there. We both were so sick, we missed the following day of work. Thankfully, our two boys who ate only the chicken did not get sick (we ate the brisket and the ribs). On Monday, 02/03, I called the store and spoke with the manager on duty by the name of Rob to report the food poisoning that me and my husband experienced after eating there. I provided in detail what we each ate, the time we paid (12:47pm), our receipt number - everything. He apologized, but doubted my story - said there were no other complaints, but said he'd put a gift card in the mail to compensate us for the inconvenience, to which I agreed. On 02/18, I called Rob again to ascertain the status of the card. After all, both my husband and I missed work on the following Monday - we were so sick from the food poisoning. Rob said he'd have to check the status of the card and to date, we have never received the card. It's been over a month now and I will not give them my business again. We should have never gotten sick in the first place, and they have not followed through with their customer service. Without a doubt, we got food poisoning from eating there and they have taken zero action to follow through on their word. I believe after tonight I'm done with this company I honestly believe that they are prejudice . Sometime there are nice people sometime they are not . Again I spent $40 on a order and there always a problem. First came in the to go order people where playful but I order a salad and asked them what was on there two salad because I could not remember which salad I order last time because I usually get the turkey sandwich basket but this time I wanted a salad. No one knew what salad I wanted because either girls knew what came on the salad. They had to go get other people who still did not know what came on the salad . After bringing the wrong salad that I did not want they told to me to walk down to the line to look on the menu to see exactly what salad I want by looking in the menu that does not give you full description of the salad again . Then when I did walk down to the line to look at the salad there was a girl Who was a manager (Callie )who act as though there was a problem that I did not order the salad I wanted she said ok mam so what salad do you want then like it was an issue when I explain to her no one knows well your co-workers she careless. Then after that she told me what both salad had very rudely then I reordered it again the salad came back and all the ingredients she said where not even on the salad . I was so mad I walk out he door and did not even looked into the salad until I got in my car so once I saw it was missing things I went back in and she was laughing talk about me to the other waitress it surprise her that I had came back again and she is a manager She would not be a manager with that type of behavior managers are there to fix problems and help customer not give a customer the impression that they careless . Not to mention when I got home we check my husband order which was the chop beef sandwich basket the sandwich was like a kids meal sandwich which I took pictures of it and will include that with this email. Then after all that we waiting forever for them to redo the salad that was still wrong while waiting I had my small daughter with me she wanted Bread that is always given to anyone in the restaurant that sits in the girl overlook us and never ask did we want any bread Im thinking because we were consider a problem customer . She did not want to be bothered. So I ask her because my daughter wanted one. When asking her she told me that I could get some of the next batch she just had a fresh batch that she just took out but we could not have any of that batch. At that point I was mad about that so I watched her to see what her next move would be . So the bread maker girl dad comes in and she literally gives him a free desert and told him to sit there because that lady over there (me ) is tripping out and don't want her to see I gave you this. When she did not even realize I can hear her teenagers. I also took pics of her. I was angry I did not even realize I sent this email because I was not done giving all details. At this point I m going to write more reviews and I want to get a address for the owner Mr. Hargrove because this unacceptable . Neither manager (Callie the rude one) nor (Mario) made feel as though I was an issue or important both managers were unbothered. Everyone there was not professional it was like a play zone there last night . Me and my husband come there sometime two to three time a week because I'm pregnant and even before that and spend lots money because as the other reviews state they are pricey. After last night I'm afraid to come there because they might do something to my food . Last time I made a complaint it took the company over a month to resUnbelievable this an example of how companies get when they feel as though they are established ... I usually eat the brisket and ribs when I'm at a BBQ place. The meat was sort of dry and doesn't have that delicious moist taste to it and the pricing seems a bit high for it. The rolls they give out are very good however and the staff is super nice. Their lunch deal is cheap though and I find that to be the best value. read more

Priced like any BBQ restaurant, an average meal for one is $12-$16. The upside to that downer is that they DO NOT CARE how large your side portions are. We use to love this place and their food is good, most times, sometimes dry and blah. We were very disappointed to learn that they don't let you take your leftovers home. What restaurant does that? We stopped going here because of that and have told everyone we know not to give them business anymore. The sad part if people don't care so this company won't change their policy. I wish they'd go out of business because they are just wasting food. If I pay $15 or more per dinner, and not finish all my food, I'd expect to take it home. I ordered takeout from the Cypress location ( 290 Spring Cypress) and my husband and I were both ill with stomach issues for over a week; I know it was food poisoning. I called and asked to speak to the manager and when I did he was very unconcerned. His name was Xavier. I told him about the brisket we ordered and how by the next day we had stomach cramps and was going to the bathroom repeatedly. I asked him if anyone else had called the restaurant complaining and he said not that he knew of. I asked what was their protocol when someone did call with complaints of food poisoning and he just danced around the conversation. I asked if he would get back with me and let me know his findings and he said he would call me back and still to this day I have not heard from anyone from this restaurant. He did not offer to compensate me for my meal and when I told him that was the least he could do, he was very nonchalant and told me I had to come in with the receipt to do so. I can not believe a store manager would risk this type of situation by not taking seriously a customer that feels they got sick from eating at their restaurant. The food is good, the staff is always friendly and helpful, they have great programs for students who work there and are a HUGE part of community support with their spirit nights for local schools. We used to go each weekend, often had take-out orders for home, and always enjoyed the food. On our last visit a few weeks ago, I asked for a plate to put my boiled corn on (included as one of my sides) so the hot water didn't mix with the rest of my food. I was told I would have to pay for the extra plate. Taken aback, I didn't get any sides. Asked to talk to the manager, a very young man came to the table, and he said that's how they're trained - if I move the wet corn from my entree plate to a side plate, they charge extra for it. I don't understand why their cashier wouldn't be able to comprehend a side plate for something like this. Luby's, Carl's BBQ, Goode Co. BBQ, and other restaurants have absolutely no problem understanding this. Angry, we boxed up our food and left. The young manager tried to give me two cobs of corn as we headed out the door. Submitted a comment via their web site and never heard back. Made a subsequent comment on their Facebook page, and my comment was deleted.
