Food is amazing. Best pancakes I've ever had in my life. Service is outstanding, however it could be slow at times due to the small kitchen. The ambience is quaint. The only thing better than the food are the sweethearts that work here. So if you aren't hyper sensitive, (like some of the people I noticed who gave low reviews) you will get along with them very well. Stumbled upon this place and what a find! Had lunch the first time and my patty melt was excellent, as was my wife's western omelette, which came with outstanding home fries. Went back for brunch and she had the same but I ordered a "short" stack of blueberry pancakes. Only two, but they are huge, and also delicious! Both times, we left with extra food that combined made one more meal (basically, 3 for the price of 2). And the priciing is beyond reasonable. Unusually good home fries and pre-pandemic prices for breakfast and lunch make this little diner worth a stop if you're in the area. Most items are less than $10! I tried their spinach omelette special, just $9 for a delicious, perfectly cooked three-egg omelette with cheese plus home fries and buttered toast. My dining companion ordered Gemma's breakfast special, two eggs crispy bacon toast and the same home fries, only $7.50. One choice of jelly: concord grape :) They seem to make everything fresh which is great but our order took 35+ minutes, a little too long. Bring a coat in winter, the dining room was unusually cold. Unless you're a local don't come to this place. We are on a trip and decided to stop at this place because of the reviews. We arrived to this place around 11:30am.Took them about 20 min to even realize we were there, then when they brought the menu, rushed us to order. We waited about 45 min to say something and all I was going to say was to make it to go and was wondering about how much longer and the lady goes "we'll we had other orders to make so are you going to wait or not" very rude so I decided it's better to just leave. They were making sure everyone else around us was ok but never once came over and asked us anything. We have stopped here a few times for a quick breakfast sandwich on road trips . There is nothing special about their food it is actually a typical "greasy spoon" type of place. The "idea" of a country kitchen is great but honestly I would rather go to Cracker Barrel or a local diner, We got our sandwiches on toast and they were very thin. The service is super slow. The food takes forever to be made and sent out.. if you are there only customer estimate a wait time of 20 to 40 minutes for food. If you are there ordering at the same time as other people, you'll end up waiting over an hour sometimes for food. The place is covered in roosters. They even have a sign inside that says "don't stare at my cock" with a picture of a rooster. They also sell trump dollars and will continue to talk about there customers behind there backs. My husband and I decided to take a drive to this local "gem" after a friend recommended it. We weren't disappointed. The atmosphere is cute. We felt like it was our Mom's making us breakfast except we didn't have to clean up or do dishes! The portions and prices were great. I swear the whole wheat bread tasted freshly baked too. We like our potatoes well done and these were perfect. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. So yummy!! Waitress was friendly and the restaurant was very clean. I would not recommend this restaurant, either for its cuisine, its hours or its service. While the location is good and I pass it often, I have now eaten here twice. Every time, I was disappointed in the choice of food (limited, unhealthy and tasteless) and usually in the service (friendly but slow). Decor is cute and I want to like the place ... but the food is just not to my liking and the hours are odd and not conducive to my visiting often as well. read more

This eatery is tucked into a strip mall and if you pass by, you are missing out on a great experience. The shop is run by a team of warm, welcoming folks. My delicate stomach can only handle egg whites and they were more than happy to accommodate me. The food is delicious and portions are generous. As a coffee lover who drinks it black, I was prepared to add sugar and cream to make it palatable, but it is beyond perfect! Love this little Gem! My husband and I were staying at Crystal springs and their breakfast was so expensive so we decided to leave the resort. It was only 15 mins away and between the two of us it cost $25. Food was great! The service was great. They were friendly and customized the food to whatever we asked.
