This is my 3rd visit to Spring Lotus. I consider the restaurant to be Pan Asian, offering a variety of Thai, Chinese and Vietnamese food. I went ahead this time and ordered the Drunken Noodles with a spice content of 2. The dish came and it was very bland to say the least. But what really shocked me and for me almost boarded on disgusting was the amount of egg they used. I have been having this dish for years, in various locations throughout the US and have never had so much egg in it. Also it would seem with the amount of business they do, they could at least update the place a bit. Nothing fancy but just maybe spruce it up a bit. I've been eyeing this restaurant ever since reading an article in the Wenatchee Business Journal.. I've been patiently waiting for them to open and I drove by today and saw the "OPEN" sign! I don't think I have been so excited in a long time! I was craving Vietnamese food earlier today.. maybe my stomach was giving me giving me tell tale signs that they were open? LOL It is located in the Target parking lot, in between the Lemongrass organic/health food store and the Great Harvest Bakery in the new strip mall. My hubby, MJ and I ordered the Tofu Spring Rolls, Pho with brisket, tripe, and meatballs and the meat lover rice dish. Everything was delicious! We didn't have a complaint in the world! I first went here for my Birthday back in June with my Family. I had been craving some good Asian Food since I moved back here from Portland Or. So, my family had brought me to Spring Lotus. This place hit the spot for my craving! The dining area is small but you don't feel closed in or crowded. Even though it was dinner rush, the service was quick, attentive and polite. I was so excited to be going for some Asian food, I had already checked out the menu online beforehand and knew exactly what I wanted. We started out with Chicken Lettuce Wraps; I was pleased to see that they used Green leaf lettuce for the wraps, rather than iceberg Lettuce. Green Leaf is much easier to wrap. (Never understood why PF Changs serves Iceberg with their Chicken Wraps). We also shared an order of Fried Egg rolls which reminded me a bit of Lumpia, a Fillipino style eggroll, very good! For my Main Dish I ordered the Kung Fu Noodles and since it was my Birthday I had them throw in all the meat they had, yup, Chicken, beef and shrimp!... it made it somewhat of a combo noodle dish. It turned out Amazing! Flavorful and super tasty, just what my taste buds wanted! Happy Birthday to me Indeed! My second visit here with my Sister was just as good. This time, I decided to try the Crispy Garlic Chicken. Yum! Like my Kung Fu Noodles, this dish was bursting with flavor as well. I was glad that the coating on the chicken was light and not overly dipped in batter or over cooked. I think what impressed me the most about this 2nd visit was the service. The staff had remembered my sister from other visits and knew exactly what she orders. The waitress, after placing our order came back and asked "you're not ordering extra sauce this time?" Spring Lotus is a "pan Asian" sort of place that has Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese items on the menu. I pretty much came here for takeout, so I can't really comment on the dine in experience. Takeout was solid, although notably variable in terms of portion sizes. Curries come with a ton of food, while stir fry noodle dishes like phad kee mao seem much smaller. The flavors are good, although if you want your food to actually have a spicy kick you might not have much luck unless you add your own chili oil. So disappointing because this place used to have amazing food and exceptional service! Called my order in 45 minutes early because I knew they took a long time on the weekends. Sat in line waiting for close to 20 minutes just to pick up a take-out order. The menu I saw online said my fried rice was 895. I was forced to pay $15 for it. Almost double the price. It was so spicy it was hardly edible, I asked for a number one spice level. The staff was not sympathetic at all and told me that "well... either buy it or don't." Haven't eaten here in a long time, so I thought I would give them one more try. Not giving them any more tries. The food is good. Service is mediocre. The low rating is because I ordered a Thai tea expecting a full glass of Thai tea since it was $3 however I received a glass full of ice and a few ounces of Thai tea. When I asked for a refill the waitress said I would have to pay for another one. When I mentioned that the glass was full of ice she just said oh yeah that's how we make our Thai teas. The owner of this business is very inconsiderate about the customer experience. They are to cheap to even pay for their own website so they use Facebook for online advertising along with not accepting several types of debit and credit cards. They are also so cheap an untrusting that they don't accept checks either. The server even suggested in call my card company as if they care company could do anything about there system not accepting certain brand of debit card. She even had they audacity to ask me if I had any money in my account! I've been a professional line cook for 5 years. Spring Lotus' flavor profiles are generally good but their professional service is sorely lacking even if they are friendly. Friendliness does not make up for the fact that the cooks either can't follow directions or don't receive directions from the hostess to say, add basil or add green onions to an order. I had a spring roll that I took apart this morning and the shrimp was split and in the middle, the digestive tract was still in the shrimp. In case you don't know thats not added flavor, that line contains-shrimp POOP. Even a rookie cook knows to remove this, this is either laziness or lack of professionalism. I will go back, but please, make my order correct, since every order I've asked to get extra basil or onions, it hasn't happened once yet. And please clean the poop out of the shrimp. We have eaten lunch twice at this restaurant. Great food with plenty of vegetables and non meat choices. Service is fine and prices fair. Fancy, no and not a great place for a private conversation. The tables are a bit close for that. Spring rolls are huge. Actually all the portions are large so come hungry. Pho is above average but I have had better- but not in Wenatchee. I was craving for pho while in Lake Chelan. So the closest place was in Wenatchee on the way back home. I was not expecting much since you know, it's Wenatchee. I was pleasently surprised how delicious the pho was. It was actually good. So come try it. You won't be disappointed. read more

The garlic chicken GAVE ME LIFE. It was beyond anything I would ever expect, and let the other reviews, is an obvious fan favorite. I ordered take out so I cannot attest to the service of wait staff or atmosphere, but the food was top notch. Minus one star for causing me unnecessary panic. I specifically asked if they took American Express (lots of places do not), and was told yes. First time to this restaurant on a stopover in Wenatchee. Read other reviews and decided to go have dinner tonight. As soon as my family and I walked in the smell of the food was wonderful. The majority of the tables were full on a Monday evening. We had to wait a few minutes for a table. We ordered vegetable egg rolls, spring rolls with chicken, orange chicken, drunken noodles with chicken and yellow curry with tofu and vegetables. All of the dishes were excellent and the prices were not too high. The portions are large. All of my family agreed that this restaurant was a good place. The staff was friendly and helpful and very clean place. I would recommend this place and would definitely go again. read more

Trying new places for a quick lunch and stopped in today based on other yelp reviews. Spring Lotus is a very nice place, very clean, very friendly servers and very good food! I ordered the Orange Chicken with white rice and my wife ordered the chicken Pho. The food was prepared well and served quickly even though we were there at the height of the lunch rush. The orange chicken was spiced perfectly and the orange sauce was not your typical gooey sweet and sour but was more of a light and flavorful basting broth. Mixed with the rice the sauce was outstanding! My wife's serving of Chicken Pho was delicious and as usual, was more than she could eat. A condiment tray along with the more traditional bean sprouts and spices gave plenty of options for seasonings. This will definitely be on our list of great places for a good lunch and dinner. It's worth noting again that the servers were very friendly and helpful. My only comment, and the reason I gave four stars instead of five, is that there aren't any lunch specials on the menu. This meant spending dinner prices on a lunch budget unless you only order the Pho. read more

Came here for a quick lunch with my sister -- who knows the place well. Unfortunately, they don't offer many vegetarian options. All the pho is made with beef broth (including the available tofu option). I went with a veggie bowl but, to my dismay, discovered bits of chicken mixed in with the veggies. Not so stellar. But! The server was absolutely lovely and apologised -- and took the dish off the receipt. Overall, not bad, though not necessarily the place for vegetarians or vegans. We came in recently for a last minute dinner with my son and knowing that they closed at 8 we both thought we were pushing it but still came in a few min before 7. The server was nice but after ordering a couple sodas she came back to inform us the c02 was broken. Fine, not that big of a deal. Should drink more water anyways. Wife ordered curry with rice and when it came out she informed her they were out of rice but she could have noodles or wait 30 minutes for rice. Wife specifically likes rice with her curry and was looking forward to it. My meal was supposed to come with soup which was never brought and waters never refilled and lemongrass chicken was extremely dry. I somehow got rice but it was very obvious it was bottom of the barrel and dry. We've always liked this restaurant and hope it's not a sign of things to come. Service was poor. I got to the fresh rolls and stopped there. The sprouts in the roll were old and tasted like the refrigerator. The shrimp had an "off" taste to them. The skins on the rolls were drying out. Obviously they had been around a while. At that point, well after I took a bite, I got up. They CHARGED me for bad food. I was shocked. Traveling in the area, a friend recommended, so i thought i would give it a shot. The restaurant is Located behind Target in the same parking lot. The staff was friendly and fast. I tried the following: Tofu spring rolls: absolutely tasty. Fresh, crisp with a wonderful crunch. Followed by a little heat. The peanut sauce was tasty. Almost had to clean the bowl out with my fingers, but remembered my manners... Monk's fried rice: the rice came out second and piping hot. The portion was very large. When I arrived to pick up the order I explained to the hostess that last time the peanut sauce for the spring rolls was forgotten. She apologized and made sure the sauce was in there. I got into the car and remembered the veggie Rama usually has a separate container of rice. I went back in and got that. Driving home I realized I didn't have the peanut sauce for the veggie rama! From the looks of it, it looks promising. So I walk in with a senseless, newborn state of mind and then, it happens. A light at the end of a tunnel. Ok, so you might be wondering where a heart attack falls into this picture? I mean, seriously? Have you seen the cute blonde waitress that works there? I didn't catch her name, but we'll call her Mickey 'cause she's so fine! Anyways, she highly recommended the spring rolls to me, which I must add were ridiculously huge! A comparison to the egg rolls found at Golden East Chinese Szechwan Restaurant. Ugh! What a mouthful. The last sentence guys, not the spring rolls/eggrolls. Well, that too. If you look at it from a different aspect, whatever you call it? I decided on yellow curry, I love yellow curry! And I love that cute waitress too! Wait, am I thinking out loud?! The point is, the yellow curry was amazing! They bring it to you in like, some asian bowl thing accompanied with white rice. I believe I took a picture of it too with my iPhone 3GS? I'll have it uploaded after this review, but I must warn you, the quality is really bad. Being said, I might do a little editing in Paint, just to show the goodness of it all. I ordered the Pho and was expecting a good bowl of noodle soup but got semi warm and very light flavor broth with overcooked and mushy noodles. When I was asked how my lunch was I told them not that great and was not given any type of apology or discount on my bill. In fact no one even asked why I did not like it.
