If you're a vegetarian, MAYBE it might be worth your money, don't get me wrong, I love veggies but exactly how much of an excitement you can get out of eating steam veggies. I love coming here on the weekends to spend time with my wife and kid. Occasionally, I'll bring the in-laws too. I don't like the fact that you need to pay extra for meat but it is what it is. Very clean and the service is good, went in around 12pm on a Wednesday and was seated immediately. It's $11.95 for lunch, meat and seafood not included. The vegetable, noodles and fish balls selection is pretty decent. The sauce station is huge, you could make tons of combos. Food selection was big however service was poor. I heard good things about this place and since it was my birthday, I decided to come try this place for the first time with my family and friends (24 people) today for an early diner before the crowds come. We did get the back room which was somewhat private but turned into a super sweaty hot box during cooking. Throughout the night, the staff seemed a little lacking. There were only 2 servers tending to us and that can become overwhelmingly exhausting for a crowd that size. Eventually, the staff came to tell us to wrap it up cuz the crowds started to grow. We had a birthday cake that we had to light and serve ourselves. They just left us plates and utensils. My birthday cake was crushed too...looked awful..didnt even take a photo of it. In fact..no staff was around to even help us take a picture. Furthermore, when the bill arrived, we were over charged. A young female (possible manager) came by with a measuring tape as well to measure the heights of the children with us in case they forgot to charge them which looked really bizarre. Amazing place for a nice casual hot pot with very reasonable prices! Also the interior is beautiful and very chic and modern. Also they have amazing service and the staff paid lots of attention to us. A perfect tucked away gem for a cold winter night, also recommended if you're sick. The seafood broth is the best! The spicy broth is all oil!! They don't have parking but for a shabu shabu buffet this good, it's ok. The food makes up it. Simply put, I love this place. I go to eat shabu shabu at least once a month and this is the only place I go to for it. I've taken my friends who came to visit NY from Korea and they loved it as well. One sad part is that the price has increased a few times and their amount of meat/seafood has decreased... Rather decent shabu shabu place but don't be fooled by the "all you can eat". They charge extra for each plate of meat and seafood. You pay the lunch or dinner price for different assortments of noodles, fish cakes, and a variety of vegetables. The service here is really amazing and the staff are super friendly!! The only downside was how bland the broth was (but no one really drinks the broth anyways) and how they charge for each plate of seafood and meat . If you're a vegetarian it's your place to go. It's a buffet only for the veggies, various fish cake things and lots of noodles, for dessert one soft serve ice cream machine, no toppings. I had the bad luck of having the mix just dumped in so I could not try it. The wait staff are not very well trained. My son asked for lean beef and they brought him a fatty one, so when we called a different waiter over and asked him what this was he wasn't sure so another came over and we finally told him that this plate of lean beef which we asked for was a lot fattier than the last two we got. There are quite a few wait staff, but you always have to ask for basic things like your pile of plates that they are suppose to remove., refill on you soup pot which is down to half. And then they pour in the wrong one into your pot after you told him twice which is which. We also ordered Lamb, Lean Beef (3) and a mixed seafood plate. The plates are a little more generous than Mimi's but for the overall tab for the 4 of us. Mimi's is better because of the more attentive staff. read more

Will NOT be coming back. Maybe I came with high expectations since I've been to many hot pot places. It's $15 for a soup, which includes assorted fish balls, vegetables, and noodles. That's pretty much it. For meats and seafood you would have to pay additional costs depending on what you want and how much you want. I felt like there was not much to eat overall. I got the pork bone soup and it literally had no taste to it. Tasted like water. Free ice cream as well (only vanilla and chocolate) and oh the free tea (rice tea) was the only highlight. This is one of my favorite hot pot (or shabu shabu) places! The atmosphere is really chill and it's perfect for both big and small parties. They accommodate really well for both (just make sure to make a reservation beforehand if you have a big group). The place is buffet-style except for the meat, which is still at a reasonable price for the amount given. They have a lot of options for broth, sauces, and food. I've only been here twice but have been dying to go again. The service is great and they refill your broth in a really timely manner lol. The bathrooms are also pretty clean if that affects your dining experience lol. read more

Great hot pot spot. Be careful ordering the meats. I made the mistake of ordering the meat before I went to pick out the free stuff. I was blown away by the sheer variety of stuff available. 10 different kinds of fish cakes and fish balls. 40 different kinds of vegetables. Dumplings and wontons. 10 different kinds of noodles. You can almost go without meat. The broth was a bit on the bland side compared to Little Sheep but you do have quite a bit of seasoning and sauce options to customize the broth. All in all I like the all you can eat option... Once done with the meat you can eat till your heart's content with all the other stuff. The place is new, big and everyone gets their own pot. $17 per person for the ayce, meats cost 4-6 per plate which is prob enough for one person. read more

This is my absolutely favorite place to get hotpot. There can sometimes be a wait although there is a lot of seating, but that is because the food here is very good. If parking is difficult, you can park in the parking lot across the street for 3 hours and spring will actually give you a discounted rate. The soup base I get is always the spicy pork bone and this is actually a buffet with all different names of vegetables you can name. If you wanted to order drinks or meat, they would be extra but in my opinion, there are so many fish balls, noodles, and vegatables to choose from, there is no need to. They dont care how long you stay and you can take your time to enjoy your meal unlike other hot pot places. Theres also ice cream. I always have the vanilla and its very refreshing after a hot meal. read more

I was really excited to try this place but I couldn't get over the ladybug floating in my soup. SOOO it goes like this. I went with my friend on a Friday night and we ordered to orders of chicken and two beers. We then walked over to the veggie bar and loaded up on veggies. While enjoying the meal, I was wondering about the freshness of the veggies because some of them seemed a bit limp. Being such a busy place, I find no reason as to why some seemed less fresh but either way avoided those particular ones and got good amounts of cabbage and bok choy. As my friend and I were nearing the end of our meal, I noticed something black floating in my soup that looked like a black peppercorn...But wait, I don't remember putting black peppercorns in my meal...I picked it out with my chopsticks and placed it on my napkin to inspect it. Oh my God. It was a dead ladybug...I ate lady bug hot pot... I know some of you may be thinking, ladybug no big deal but try spotting it at the end of your meal in the soup. Extra protein? No thanks. So I quietly call over the waiter and to tell him and he is genuinely as flustered as I am. He carries my napkin away and says "hey but ladybugs are not dirty". We get the check and leave. Never coming back unless I get a craving for ladybug soup. read more

PROS - decent selection of veggies - colourful assortment of said veggies CONS - AYCE price is for AYCE vegetables; if you want meat, the price increases - would be a good vegetarian restaurant (AYCE vegetables) if they didn't only have meat soup bases available - the standout for shabu shabu is its amazing soup base: spring had a terrible soup base (essentially miso soup) - they charge you for both the meat and if you overstay your time of welcome of 1.5 hours. Charging for the former or the latter would have made sense, but do you really think I can eat a lot of vegetables within 1.5 hours?? Normally, charging for time is to compensate for the extra amount of time that one can eat meat (the more expensive item)...but you're already charging me meat. There is no logical reason for you to charge me for both meat and for veggies when shabu shabu 1. does not need an attentive waitress/waiter, 2. will not hold that much food in its pot anyway, and 3. you're going to charge me more for wasting vegetables - quality is not amazing...i can certainly say there one other places nearby that costs less and tastes better ALL IN ALL: please please DO NOT eat at this place unless you want to pay 20 bucks for stuff that you can make at home for less. read more

Our first time doing hot pot in a restaurant. We are weekly "hotpotters" at home when it starts getting cold. Ok, I know it seems late but Wowser what a great experience esp. if you don't have to clean & prepare! Must say very fresh veggies and lots of variety! We went as a family of 7 .We got seated promptly. We had dinner on a Sunday night. The buffet bar was fresh and the sauces are great or u can make your own. All the food at the bar was on ice. This place is SO fun! For anyone who is a vegetarian, this will be heaven for you! There's every vegetable and every form of tofu and fish ball. There are no crowds during the week so I found the service to be fine. I really like how you get your own personal hotpot because it just makes eating easier. my friends and i love this place. we have been going now at least 1x a month even in summer months because the combo of broth, veggie, noodles and fishcake options are out of this world. the meats and seafood are paid per plate but you don't even need that much meat since you can get dumplings and sausage from the buffet. plus in addition, they usually have a good running playlist. my friends enjoy our meals each time. :) read more

Thanks to a dear friend who brought me and my husband to this place. It was indeed a great experience as I could not believe that for a person who finds eating veggies boring, will enjoy it to the max. This is the kind of buffet where you will feel satisfied but not too full. You will have a variety of choices but not loathsome. We were given a chance to bring two sets of guests in this place. And as expected, each of them had the same good experience. I have a suggestion though... why don't you bring Spring Shabu Shabu to Long Island? It will save as a long drive to Queens. Promise... The all-you-can-eat selection is wide and varied, and you self-serve the ingredients to take back to your table to boil, so you can get exactly the combination and quantity you want. The food and broth were delicious, but the reason why I don't give this place 5 stars is that meat has to be ordered separately and a la carte, so if you are a meat lover and order a lot then your bill can quickly balloon. In that case you should go to 99 Favor Taste, another all-you-can-eat hot pot place in Chinatown, whose AYCE includes meat dishes. read more
