Was craving for some cupcakes and decided to hit up the so popular sprinkles joint. My first time in a sprinkles cupcake store,so not sure about others, but this location was pretty small and crowded. Got me hyped up when I saw how busy it was, but man was I fooled. When I looked at the price of $4 for a cupcake and how busy it was my expectations were pretty high. I decided on the milk chocolate cupcake that had sprinkles on top and first bite was pure disappointment y'all! The 4 pack cupcakes at walmart for $3 was better than this $4 cupcake. Happened to be in Legacy West area and saw Sprinkles. I was so excited because the kids had seen several episodes of baking challenges with Candace Nelson, as a guest judge. So we went in and picked 2 each and ate them when we got home. They were not fresh, they were stale, with some more than others. The cinnamon one was heavy and gummy and I ended up tossing it. At $4 a cupcake, I expect them to be baked that day, as I thought that was the policy. Super bummed, not the wonderful, deliciousness I remembered. Even though their cupcakes are over priced, I drive 45 minutes just to grab one! I've had multiple occasions where this location has given me the wrong order either at the store or the ATM.The last time I went I asked to speak to a manger, considering my order has been wrong multiple times I wanted store credit or a refund. The employees were very rude to me. The manager was on a phone call which I told them I had no problem waiting for her. She never came out to speak to me. The employees said they could not give me a refund or store credit. That I should have drove back to sprinkles to get my order corrected...well i live 45 minutes away it's not worth wasting gas for a cupcake plus most of the time that my order was incorrect was from the atm when the store was closed. Even with this interaction I still bought a cupcake, but it just amazes me that these cupcakes cost $1 at max to make, they are about $5 each, and they couldn't have given me 1 cupcake on the house after they have messed up my order 4 times. $5 for one cupcake. That would be fine, but these aren't worth it. They're stale. The icing it hard, which is puzzling. I don't know how you make icing hard. Visited the new location on a Sunday evening. The line was fairly long and not moving quickly so I ended up just ordering a cupcake through the ATM. It was $4.87 after tax. Almost $5 for a fairly small cupcake is crazy. Apparently the ATM costs more than inside...why? Makes no sense. Red velvet tasted good though. read more

Let's talk about some disappointment. My boyfriend and I discovered Sprinkles when we were in Vegas in January and were immediately obsessed. Since then, we track them down when we travel to cities that have a Sprinkles. Vegas and Dallas were great: good quality, great service, and the 'Sprinkles' amazingness that we expect. I was really excited to hear that Sprinkles was moving into Plano where I now work. It opened right around the time I got my free birthday cupcake so I decided to swing by and treat myself. It is located in a new, high end area of town, and as expected there was a line. I wouldn't mind the line if the end result was satisfying, however, they were so busy the selection had crashed. Even the observable quality was terrible compared to previous stores I have visited. When I got home and tried them I was disappointed in the quality. Such a bummer when you're splurging at your (thought to be) favorite place and get home to be disappointed. Would recommend the Dallas branch over Plano in a heartbeat. read more

1st time to try This new location in shops of legacy west. Sadly, the ATM has very limited flavors. Was very disappointed they didn't carry the red velvet or white cake with chocolate sprinkles inside the machine. I tried the strawberry and it was just ok. Kinda dry cake My son had the white on white cake. Very average and dry. Quality has declined. And.. sad to say there is NO WHERE to sit to enjoy your $4 cupcake. Ice cream USED to be good at University Park Dallas location, albeit overpriced, but this is 2nd attempt at this location and both times it has been overly sweet and lacking any flavor. Their special S'mores flavor a couple of months ago had no genuine resemblance to s'mores and was just icky sweet. Today tried the coffee, which used to be strong coffee flavor and I could tell from the color - which used to look like creamed coffee and today looked barely different from vanilla -that I'd be disappointed. Sure enough, it had barely any hint of coffee flavor. Two strikes, you are out, Sprinkles Plano! $15.00 for dips of just sugary milk. Boo. read more

I'm so happy they opened up in Plano! I love sprinkles and always order these for special work events and birthdays. Usually they are on par with the cupcakes; occasionally they will be a little dry on the same day of getting them, but for the most part I am happy with the quality. Today was my first visit to Sprinkles...and it will be my last. I was not at all pleased with the red velvet cupcake. The icing was about 50-60% of the entire cupcake, and the cupcake itself tasted store bought. It was thick, somewhat dry and not flavorful at all. I was very disappointed. This was actually my second choice; the shop wasn't selling milk chocolate cupcakes. Who doesn't sell chocolate cupcakes on a daily basis? That should have been my cue to leave but I ordered anyway. I visited Sprinkles on vacation in California. I was excited to have one nearby. I had to take away two stars for the long wait time even though I was the only one line and not enough variety they claim they have on their website. I went there for the salted caramel cupcake but of course there was none avail. So ended up with cliche chocolate. Overall, taste is pretty good. I would still recommend. They really need to live up to their website and add variety. read more

My husband and I go to the Plano location every other weekend as we love Sprinkles cupcakes and our dog loves the pupcakes. My last two visits did not go well. I ordered a peanut butter chocolate but instead got home and found out it was a vanilla cupcake with chocolate frosting. Threw it in the trash. Ordered seven cupcakes, two brownies and paid online. Picked up my order and only received 6 cupcakes. On an annual average, my orders at the Plano location are only 50 percent right. Not sure why the workers are not trained to read the tickets upon preparing orders. read more

Overall I am not impressed- the experience at the store was ok- everyone was nice and likely would have been helpful if I'd had questions. Now the cupcakes were another story- I think I had high hopes because of all the hype around Sprinkles in general. We had the Strawberry, Dark Chocolate, and Sprinkle cupcakes. The strawberry was an ugly grey color inside and the frosting was super sweet and tasted like crisco. The Dark chocolate was ok- very dry and light in chocolate flavor in the cupcake but this frosting was good - much better than the other 2. I had been here once before and had one red velvet cupcake and liked it. Went back yesterday and bought three different kinds including the red velvet. It is sad, they were old or just dried out. Wholeheartedly agree with the reviews below. Had a cupcake from the Dallas location at at graduation party Saturday & it was amazingly fresh, moist & soft cake like none other. Was craving another so went to the one near my home in Plano & other than looking the same on the outside they were dry, tasteless & just threw them away. There were 3 different flavors & they were all equally terrible. Staff were young girls who were rude. In parting they said, "Don't put them in the frig,". I asked why & she said, "Just don't." I asked if I could put them in the freezer & she said no. Just flat like that with no explanation. Very weird. This is a prime location with tons of foot traffic. You'd think the owner or manager would respond to some of these negative reviews especially since there are so many & they all have a common theme; quality & customer service; the two things that can ruin a business. Stopped here yesterday after lunch and picked up a red velvet, GF red velvet, and puppycake. All were wonderful and enjoyed by all! Will come again when in the area. There is no where to sit inside or even immediately outside. So be prepared to take your cupcakes with you. read more

Kind and helpful employees, AMAZING cupcakes. What more could you ask for? Parking is a little tricky in this area on a busy weekend, but it was worth it for delicious cupcakes. My husband and I visited sprinkles today for a sweet treat after our lunch date. I've been to the dallas location so I anticipated great service similar to that location. We both ordered the cupcake shake & I'm not going to lie- I'm pretty disappointed for a couple of reasons. 1.) I paid $9 for their cupcake shake- the price alone made me upset but the kicker was that there was virtually no ice cream, mostly milk & not blended properly. The milk stayed at the top of my cup until I could get to work and get a spoon to eat it with. They even forgot that I asked for and paid for sprinkles to be added into my shake. 2.) we waited for over 15 minutes! I was beginning to think they forgot about us. For 9 bucks and a pretty long wait for a shake that wasn't done properly you would think it would have been better. I would much rather go wait the couple of minutes for shake shack across the street for a better shake. I'll give it a go again but I will give it several months read more

This Sprinkles is excellent. We had the special "who runs the world" cupcake with white chocolate frosting and raspberry filling as recommended by Jeanne who was very helpful. We got there as the store opened, as such one of the cupcakes we had wanted to try was unavailable. The name must be "Sprinkles" because that's how much sugar was used to make these 5 cupcakes I just bought. Literally no sugar in 3 out of 5. The other 2 maybe had sugar in the sprinkles on the frosting. Worst cupcakes I've ever had and won't go back again. There are too many awesome bakeries in the area to waste money here.
