Good ol American cupcakes. On the super sweet side so if you have a sweet tooth, this will hit the spot. Location is on the strip at Legacy West so it's easy to find. This location doesn't have a tables or chairs for you to lounge around in. You'll have to get it to go and either find a table outside on the strip or take it somewhere else to eat. There are multiple flavors made daily for you to choose from and they are consistent. I really like their red velvet cupcake but I've tried many and never had a flavor I didn't like. read more

I give it 3 stars based on experience at the store. I won't talk about the food because it's pretty much all the same everywhere. First of all, the store wasn't difficult to find. It has a fairly recognizable store front. It's part of a larger establishment so I was a little bit surprised to see how small this location actually is. It's probably almost half the size of the Dallas location and it's super cramped. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a line out the door just because of how little it can fit. There's absolutely no seating inside. The Dallas location has two separate stores for the ice cream and cupcakes so when I heard the Plano one has both in one store, I imagined it to be bigger. I came around 3:00 on a Thursday and their shelves were fairly empty. They had a lot of the vanilla and red velvet flavors but not much left of others. The girl who helped me said it was a busy day. For some reason she couldn't understand my order and they couldn't get it straight. And they had some problems with the register because I was using my bday cupcake and there was a promo for buy two minis and get 1 reg cupcake free. They just made something work and everything worked out fine. Everyone was nice and super easy to talk to. They had good spirits. Service just needed refining like not getting orders confused and forgetting to put the items in a bag (bc my order came out to be a rectangle box and a bag for the minis - and i just looked at it and didn't have enough hands to carry it at the moment) The cupcakes were the same. i have some friends who are die-hard sprinkles fans, but i find it to be just alright. their marketing tactics are clever, with the idea of a cupcake ATM being too cute not to try and their single boxes being no-fail birthday gifts. heck, their concentric circles motif is a nationally recognized symbol. when you want to cater baked goods, you'll go to sprinkles because they're there and they're familiar. but what about the very thing we're all here for?!? dry dry dry! and this is coming from someone who generally prefers more of a fluff. maybe add a star if you like cakes that aren't that moist :( read more

Went here tonight with friends! Absolutely delicious! I ordered the confetti cupcake with sprinkles on top and it was beyond delicious! The texture of the cake was moist and dense and sweet! The frosting was thick and creamy and luscious! Others in my party ordered the strawberry and the red velvet and they enjoyed theirs immensely as well! So many flavors to choose from and an amazing location in Legacy West! We took our across the street and sat in a circular bench beneath a tree. It was so perfect that I felt as if I was in a movie! New to the area, it was an amazing Saturday night treat to have dessert outside with friends and watch people as they walked and drove by. Sprinkles is also one of those cupcake places that I would say is sweet, but they do have unique flavors that are less sweet like the strawberry shortcake. It has a unique savoriness to it. This new contactless ordering process makes no sense. You have to wait outside to place an order and scan a QR code. So fine, I attempt to do that but the customer service lady who comes outside said the special flavor I wanted wasn't available inside only at the kiosk because they ran out and can't take from the kiosk. So I pay for my Special flavor at the kiosk. Then I go back to customer service so I don't have a totally waisted trip as I live 35 miles away and was told to order online and she pointed to the big QR code. I said how can I redeem my birthday reward and she says it will prompt you to enter credit card information but it will allow you to select your reward before confirming. I did all those steps and was still charged. Wouldn't it be simple in this situation to just go ring it up inside when you go get my cupcake as a birthday reward and not force your customer to waist 5 minutes filling out a website that still ends up making you pay for something that's supposed to be free??? read more

Came here last night with the family just to try this place for once for the hype and honestly I'm not sure what all the hype was about. I guess the cupcake ATM is neat. 5/5 for customer service - staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable. 3/5 for icecream/cupcakes - the ice cream is somehow way better than the cupcakes. Three of us all got the sundaes (cupcake with icecream) and we had the coffee, strawberry and vanilla icecream. One of my family members ordered the apple pie ice cream but he never got it and one of the employees gave him vanilla bean instead, we were too lazy to ask for it to be changed as the place was so crowded and we were waiting well over 15 minutes to get our order. The vanilla bean icecream tasted terrible to me, it tasted way too unnatural and like chemicals to me but the coffee icecream was amazing! Vanilla cupcake was horrible! I understand the staple there is red velvet but wow, I could use some box mix at home for vanilla cupcakes and it would still be better than the cupcake we have! 2/5 set up/design of the store. This place is tiny! And with how crowded it gets on a weekend night and how the doors must be shut at all time, we were packed in there like sardines. It's also very hard to tell where the line starts once you enter the place so there were a lot of customers who were very annoyed when they came in and realized they were standing in the wrong place for a while. Organization of receiving orders was also terrible. Several people that ordered after us got their orders before us and they got around the same amount of orders as us (we only ordered three sundaes). Going down hill since COVID. The young female blonde lady working today just about ruined my birthday. She shut the door In my face and made me stand outside in 103 degree weather. When I told her I wasn't able to Order online because their app was down she told me to call the customer service number... in 100 degree weather... so basically they were rejecting customers.. She shut the door in my face and didn't say anything. She was on her phone and she had a really poor attitude (teenager). I told her to take the lady behind me and she was very condescending and rude about helping Her. The lady behind me was telling me to call the manager the next day... so this gets worse. I call the manager to let her know (Christina ) She tells me that she thinks her employee did nothing wrong and that I shouldn't have called to bother her. She was also not in the store the time that her employee was lacking customer service skills. She was outside talking to someone apparently down the street. Christina hung up the phone on me so no wonder her employees had this same attitude. You do not tell the customer what you think happened lol (when your app is down) And your employee is rude and has a poor piss attitude. This location definitely has some key-points to improve upon. First is order accuracy: I sent my fiancé inside to get a couple of cupcakes for us & he ended up walking out with the wrong order after waiting in line for quite awhile. The cupcakes tasted great, but it's not exactly what we ordered, which was unfortunate. We drove for a few hours back home & didn't realize the order was wrong until we opened the box. Not exactly convenient to turn around & go back... The shop itself is nice but don't try to stop by on a Saturday night. My significant other & I were in town for a convention & decided to swing by for a couple of cupcakes before we hopped back on the highway back home & were met with an onslaught of traffic. I'm not talking about your average traffic build-up, this was INSANE. I didn't know this area was an outdoor mall, but it took about 30 minutes just to navigate through the area. I couldn't find a place to park, but luckily a kind valet attended let me sit idle in a space to the side while I waited for my fiancé. Make sure you account for plenty of time to park if you're coming on a weekend! All-in-all, I'm a huge fan of Sprinkles cupcakes themselves, but after the experience at this location, I'll be visiting my normal location on Preston Rd from now on. read more

REEAAALLLLLYYY......only 2 flavors in the ATM, and they are black-and-white and chocolate marshmallow. I think these are the only flavors that didn't sell all day. What a disappointment .... OK, update to the review. Ordered 5 cupcakes 3 of 1 flavor 2 of the other and only 3 total cupcakes came out. They were out of the half way decent one... so, we wanted 5, got three. And it's not like we came at 3AM after all the drunks emptied out the ATM. I don't enjoy giving negative reviews for any business but in my opinion Sprinkles does not put out good cupcakes. Maybe they did at one time but either it's become too big of a company to retain quality control or things differ too much between stores. The cake part is sooo dry and the frosting tastes like crisco. A vanilla cupcake is my judging ground because of how simple the flavor should be and theirs is awful. I came in about 10 minutes before closing on a weekday and ordered a vanilla cupcake with vanilla frosting. It was packed which was a good sign in my eyes. However, the cupcake was severely lacking. The frosting was way too rich and loaded with sugar. I know it's frosting but there should be a balance. The cake itself was just ok. It was a little dry and lacked flavor. I love Sprinkles! I had dinner on a Wednesday night with a friend, and that is probably the only reason there was not a line. Same delicious cupcake, same fun interior, but no seating. That's okay, you can get your cupcakes and keep it moving. It was later in the day, so the selection was limited. They only had vanilla, chocolate, and black and white. I selected the vanilla and black and white for my husband. Oh, and I purchased the two remaining doggy cupcakes for Baxter. I love that this location has an atm, but as other Sprinkles connoisseurs know, it will cost a little more, but worth it in a pinch. They still had a full selection of cupcakes and were as delicious as I remembered Sprinkles to be (usually opt for the chocolate though their red velvet is good too). More recently was last Wednesday around 7pm. Unfortunately their case of cupcakes were nearly empty by that time. When we asked what they had available, the staff mentioned that more were in the back but would need to be prepared with icing. That was perfectly fine, but took a really long time and didn't taste as good as before (kind of dry). Either way, it's hard to talk me out of cupcakes. I took the fambam out to legacy west for the big grand opening celebration and of course we had to stop at Sprinkles. We told my 10 year old about the cupcake spot and she asked every 15 minutes, "We're still getting a cupcake right?" Lesson learned there- don't tell kids about treats before it's time to eat them! Anyways, when it was finally time to leave and get our cupcakes the line was out the door. Boo. My husband gave me that look like there's no way... I looked around for a solution. Hmm, maybe it will move fast, I said weakly. But the Texas sun beamed down on us on the sidewalk and with humidity above 80% it was not looking too promising. Then looking down the walkway I saw it. A bright pink beacon of hope. The CUPCAKE ATM! I proudly said this way! And pushed the stroller like a woman on a mission. A mission for a cupcake! The line for the ATM was only 2 people deep, yay! This is the cupcake atm I proclaimed. We can select our cupcake and it will pop out the machine. 10 year old daughter's eye's got wide. So cool! She said. I think baby Drew even squealed with delight. When it was our turn we had to take an obligatory photo of the machine and video the whole the for instagram (what kind of millennial do you think I am?!) But then we selected our treats. The ATM only offers a few flavors, including red velvet vanilla and I think coconut this day. We all were very basic and ALL got red velvet. But we swiped our card and waited 1 minute where the screen showed your cupcake being selected and dropped into the door. The door opened and out popped 3 perfectly wrapped boxed red velvet cupcakes. What an amazing machine! Bless the person who invented it! Cupcakes from the ATM are more expensive, which sucks, I think they were $4.50. However, I was prepared to make it rain to get those cupcakes for the fam! The cupcakes were moist and delicious and enjoyed by all. I think these are my 2nd favorite cupcake. I came in without my mask and she asked if I had one. I don't wear a mask in Texas, I have been vaccinated but I complied and took the mask she offered even after that she was rude. I was coming to get cupcakes for my daughter in law who lives in KS and has to have gluten free cupcakes and loves sprinkles. I do not eat them. This is place is a hit or miss for me depending on the day. The first time I came here, it was quite crowded. People were standing in the lines so I thought there was actually a line. No, there was not. It just took the staff (of like more than 3 people) forever to grab those cupcakes for the customers. Like, I'm sorry, but how long does it take to box a cupcake? Also, the staff saw us come in but didn't say anything. It wasn't until a little while later when a kind customer told us that there wasn't a line, just people waiting for their order. So long story short, if you see a customer, please speak up instead of just glancing over at us walking in. The next few times I came here was definitely better. The lines moved much more smoothly and the staff was quicker than before. The cupcakes were good, and since they are down the street from where I live, it's a great place to go to when I want a sweet snack.
