This sprouts location has one of the most unique layouts with separated rooms for things such as their bulk items. I did notice that they did not have the honey mustard pretzel bits.... or are they discontinued!?!!?!?! :( The employees here are super friendly, they have their deli in the back where you can order their infamous $4.99 sandwiches, and their open kitchen is a nice touch The whole place also has "beachy vibes" given that it is fairly close to the beach. It's pretty standard to see folks with their dogs in the store (so if that's not your vibe, I'd recommend making the drive to the next location) A solid sprouts with its own unique personality! read more

I had a demo for a prebiotic soda brand in the store this past weekend and I needed some assistance to locate the product. Andrea was so very helpful to me that day, and I just wanted to acknowledge her kindness and the fact that she went over and beyond to assist me to get the soda from the warehouse that I would need for my demo. The demo itself was a success, and there were many people who sampled the product within the store. I received the worst turkey sandwich here at this location. I normally grab a quick sandwich and this is by far the worst sandwich I've received. Never seen turkey shredded like this & one of the slice bread had a hole in the center. I wrote light dressing on the slip & it was packed of dressing. I threw away the sandwich. read more

My daughter in law turned me on to the sandwich special for $5.99. For another $1 you get chips and a water. You go to the deli meat section, grab a mini pencil & a paper, pic what type of sandwich you want, bread, meat, add on's, etc. Today I chose chicken salad on multi grain bread, with lettuce, tomato, avocado, Mayo & Mustard. This place is way overworked for the amount of staff. They constantly have long lines for checkout and not enough workers. This is my neighbor Sprouts and my go-to for anything organic. I like it better than their competition grocery stores. Pricing is very fair for organic produce. Ask for Enrique in the meats section, he knows everything about all the beef cuts, chicken, lamb, fish, pork, etc. even gives tips to cook it or pair it up with flavors. Enrique will even let you know future meats or fish that are coming if you dont see what you want and will look in the back for you to see if he can find what you are looking for. Amazing service which is hard to find in grocery stores these days. Sprouts just started an app with rewards points like Vons. Coffee, sauces, cold cuts, spices, nuts, dried fruits, grains selections are bountiful and fair priced , look for sales! Lines can get long on Monday afternoons/evenings like anywhere else. read more

My family and I shop here several times a week. Mostly through pick up orders. But occasionally I'll run in if I need something Asap. On multiple occasions both Travis and Austin have gone above and beyond the standard level of support and service. There is also a guy with long hair and glasses in the supplement section. Sorry I don't know your name but I have to give you props. He is the man! Always positive, happy and knowledgeable. Travis is usually my pick up order guy. He is fast, communicative, efficient, and overall a good guy. My most recent experience with Austin was today. He could tell I was bummed out that the liquid egg white shelves were empty. He came up and asked if he could help or explain the issue. After I told him he said he would go check the back. A few moments later Austin came back with the goods. Overall Sprouts on 17th is great. The only reason I was calling is to see if something was in stock. If not, I wanted to have the option to go to a different sprouts. This particular Sprouts location is central to many of my favorite places and things in Costa Mesa. For example, across the street is Santa Monica Seafood. Sometimes, we buy freshly cooked cocktail shrimp, only to discover that we need lemons. Guess where we go? Then, there's Shirley's Bagels, also across the street, near Sidecar Donuts, and the incomparable Hi-Time Wine Cellars, only an alleyway away. My goodness, the 17th Street corridor is ripe with great establishments. Which leads me to assess years' worth of visits to this smaller than most stores, but no less equal. Produce is always great here, and we picked up some nuts in the shell, too, for the holidays. It's always worth a glance at the meat deli, and they're never short of good tea selections either. Small, but complete. Just be careful pulling into parking spots nearest the entrance. One unfortunate lady wrecked her vehicle's undercarriage, pulling too far over the concrete stop bar. read more

Worse service my husband and I have ever had in a grocery type store. Only 2 checkers and each line had over 16 people in line. It was Sunday 7/5/26 at 3:30pm. We only purchased 6 items but waited in line for 18 minutes. However, we had seen 8 other employees stocking shelves going in and out of the office and just walking around. The 8 employees did not count the 3 in the butcher counter or the 2 in the produce department. I asked a male employee in the office if he could please ask manager to come over so I could talk to him and the lines were so long they needed more cashiers. He said I don't know what I can do and walked away. Well nothing happened. We checked out got to the car and noticed Linda had charged us for 2 mushroom packages and we only bought 1. So we turn around and I run in and ask the other cashier to see manager she said he's busy he is checking people out. So now I see the older male manager at a register and stand there but he was busy with the lines of people. Do I went back to Linda and told her she charged us for 2 and we only purchased 1. She said I didn't do that. I showed her the receipt and she said the scanners does that sometimes charges your item twice. She did give me a credit on my card. However, she made me feel like I was the problem and i felt horrible looking at the lines and lines of customers as she had to take time to refund me. We were going to go to Trader Joe's but my husband said let's go a little farther and go to Sprouts instead. That was a mistake from now on Trader Joe's will be our store. I will not shop at a store that double chargers us on items because of their scanners. read more

I have shopped at this Sprouts for over 2 years, and Anna has consistency waited on me all of this time. I have special requests for the food I buy, and she complies with them, happy to help me.
