We are here yesterday. I ordered the Spruce Burger. I was terribly disappointed that the 1/2lb Waygu was a thin, overcooked, pre-formed patty seemingly smaller than a McDonalds burger patty. 1/2lb should be a lot of burger meat. BEST Eggs Benedict I've ever had!! Service is impeccable with fresh brewed coffee on the spot! We loved the music too! My sister and I haven't been to Seattle in so long so it was nice to sit and enjoy this time and have our server give us wonderful advice on what to do the next couple of days while in town. Service was okay, food was not good, crispy over easy eggs, no seasoning at all and very greasy. I got the homemade corned beef hash that came in a bowl with 2 chunks of corned beef laid on top of the roasted potatoes. My husband got the standard breakfast with bacon and sausage, the sausage was the only thing with any flavor and again crispy edged over easy eggs. The mimosas were good. I went to Spruce Cafe for breakfast and ordered the corned beef hash. I wouldn't recommend it though, as the beef tasted far from fresh and the onions were undercooked. Small place, small staff but incredible service. They were busy but moved things quickly. Beautiful and simple decor and open kitchen so you can watch the chef. Feels like you're sitting in your friend's kitchen. Coffee was great but the star of the breakfast was the corned beef and eggs. House made corned beef is tender and delicious and the eggs and potatoes are a perfect compliment. I will remember this breakfast for a long time. The cafe is beautiful inside, and it's a great place to have breakfast when you stay at the hotel. Prices are Seattle-high, but great (cappuccino too), except they don't ask you how you want your eggs. So make sure you tell them how you want them done when ordering. read more

My mother had the French toast and got food poisoning. Since we had a preplanned outing this was a disaster as she spent the next several hours ill. I had the salmon omelette which was mediocre at best. My son was so unhappy with his breakfast sandwich he refused to eat it. They tried to make it right by refunding half the breakfast sandwich cost which we appreciated. The waitress was not good though. She but in eggs Benedict when I ordered an omelette and I had to ask for my coffee twice before it actually came out. Perhaps because we had so many excellent meal experiences on our trip this poor experience stood out more. Two stars because they manager made an attempt to make it right re the breakfast sandwich but considering the subsequent upset stomach from the French toast I dropped it down to 1 star. read more

We waited about 10 minutes in line before even being acknowledged. The person behind us went to ask and they sat her before us, still not acknowledging our presence. I had to say we were in line first and she said oh, you can sit over there. We sat down and it took about 15 minutes for someone to come to our table. We ordered our food and coffee. They brought out my husbands food first, he ordered the ham and cheese omelette. It was made with lunch meat and had zero seasoning on it. Almost 10 minutes passed before I got my food and finally my coffee. I ordered the Eggs Benedict which was also made with lunch meat and was cold. Probably because it was ready with my husbands food but sat there until someone cared to bring it to me. In addition to being cold it had no flavor, even the fruit was low quality. I'm not one to complain when it comes to restaurants. Things happen and staff gets busy. But when every aspect of our visit is negative I feel the need to say something. I didn't even get an apology or a can I get something else for you when I said my food was cold. From beginning to end it was bad. No one smiled at us. No one said thank you we seemed to be a huge inconvenience to them. It was very disappointing as we stayed in the hotel and had a great experience the whole time. This happened right before checking out and left a very bad last impression for our trip. The restaurant was clean and a good environment. Although my latte was served in a paper cup. Some tables had paper cups, some had glass mugs. Not sure how they made that determination. read more

I don't go outta my way to review places normally but was so surprised how bad everything was that I feel like I have to. Firstly they don't put ice in their water to try and make you buy other drinks so the water is room temp at best at and the glasses were smudged. Secondly I ordered simple things ham and cheese omelette. The eggs were poorly cooked somehow hot and cold the meat inside it looked like it was lazily slapped in the egg and never even cooked on the grill and the cheese was so scare it looked like an after thought but the worst part had to be the "toast" that I could've broken a window with if I threw it. And then the potatoes that were supposed to have rosemary and salt didn't even looked cooked and had 0 seasonings or crisp like the pictures. And the green tea latte was almost completely cold when I got it. And finally the lady seating and doing checks passed us by 2 times and then we waited 20 minutes with empty plates to be checked out and it was not busy in the slightest. In summation save your money on overpriced under cared for food and go to ihop because it's definitely gonna be a better experience im surprised I didn't have food poisoning. And their "salad" was soggy spinach and lettuce that looked sad at best to spruce cafe needs help for real and finding the place in the building was confusing? The door was closed like they didn't want any businesses if I could give 0 stars I would. read more
