I'm a flight attendant and had a layover today in Savannah. Walked around a bit and found Roly Poly. Looked good so thought I'd give it a try. Extremely good choice on my part!! The cashier was the nicest person and made me feel like I needed to be there. Wish I got her name but compliments to her! I ordered the Hawaiian Thanksgiving wrap which was AMAZING!!!!!! I usually order a half sandwich but went for a whole so I'd have something to eat later. Again, very good choice on my end. The wrap has SO MUCH flavor and I have zero bad things to say about it. It comes with a side of spicy honey mustard but I went with BBQ cause I don't do spicy. It really doesn't need to be dipped but that BBQ sauce was too good not to dip in. The price for a whole was only $8.75 plus tax. Good price for a delicious wrap!! If I ever have a layover here again I would 100% go back to try other sandwiches. GO HERE!!! read more

This place is SO good! I didn't think a wrap could even taste like this! The turkey and cheddar was great and the lettuce was delicious. The veggie wrap was also amazing. The cookies were homemade and soooo yummy. The building was so cute and located right in downtown Savanah. The perfect lunch spot. I've had cold & hot wraps and both are delicious. My all time favorites are the #55 and the #7. Like most sandwich shops you have the option to customize your sandwich or wrap. And I believe the even have gluten free options. Food is always fresh & the service is friendly. Roly Poly is conveniently located on Bull street across from CVS. It's easy to walk past the shop as it's tucked in a bit. I've never been disappointed in anything I've ordered before. And they even carry Leopolds ice cream(select flavors)The only downside is it's tough to get them to answer their phone during lunch time. I saw the name and started singing Mr. Killa - Rolly Polly. I've been here about this place for over 10 years but with so many options in the area I somehow always miss this place. I finally was able to check this place out and I can say they are 5 stars great. The service is amazing. The place is clean. The food was so good I did a little dance as I chewed. The Walnut Spinach Salad and the #39 Turkey Applejack are perfect. The apple butter and basil mayo are everything. And it was cheap. Oh! I never reviewed Roly Poly? Geez, come on. I ate here a decade ago (yikes) every Saturday for lunch because it was cheap. I would always get the same thing: a #72 Whole. A #72 whole is a buffalo chicken wrap. I would never order anything else because the #72 is what I want in a wrap. It's just perfect. It's one of those things that just works. The chicken, mushrooms, buffalo sauce, cheese, tomatoes, onions all pressed together hot...it's nostalgic as any food I've had. Plus their ranch is always good with it. It is fresh because Inlaws Produce goes there on Saturday's. Also, there's a Roly Poly in Columbia, SC and their food does not taste fresh at all. I go to Savannah now (I live in Columbia, SC) about once a month. I always make a point to go to Roly Poly at least once or twice a year to relive a decade ago. You know what? Such a great lunch spot!! 5 stars all the way! Their wraps are delicious and inexpensive. A huge bonus to me, especially since downtown has gotten so expensive! The Jerk Chicken wrap is my new obsession. It has the perfect blend of seasonings - a little bit of spice from the jerk and sweetness from the pineapples and mango glaze. Their soups are also delish! We were a group of 8 people in a hurry, arriving on a Sunday unannounced. The staff was amazing! They started cranking through the orders and we were able to get to our tour on time with full bellies. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. We had some people order pre-configured wraps, but many were either make your own or included special requests. They all came out great and we left happy. They offer hot and cold wraps, mini pasta salads sometimes, chips, cookies, soups, fountain drinks, and non fountain beverages ( for yall folk that prefer bottles or cans.) I'm limited on giving feedback on the different sandwiches as I've only ever had one. Lol. It was the first one I tried and I fell in love, just like in the movies!! It's no longer listed on the menu but its a #96. Its steak, bell pepper, onion, mushroom, and chipotle ranch. I order mine well down to soften my bell peppers and onions. It comes with a salsa, but I advise getting extras. They are only 25 cents. I dip my wrap in it. I can remember when they told me it came with salsa, and I was like ugh ... .lol. no thanks. I have been ordering from here for several years. I don't know what has happened, but that last 2 experiences I have had have been plain rude to horrible. I will not be ordering from here again. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because I like some of their food. I ordered today, called in my order for delivery.( This pertains to the gentleman that took my order.) After sighing loudly into the phone, after I told them I had an order for delivery, the man says 'wow, you're skating in right under our cut off time'. (This was at 2:30) I said, "oh, I'm sorry is it too late to order delivery?" And he responded, "No, you are just calling very last minute, that's all". Really?? If you are still delivering and it's not past your 'cut off' time then why is it necessary to make rude comments and act like I am bothering you at your job? If delivery is such an inconvenience for your business, then DON"T DO IT!! I don't feel like going all into my experience before this one, but basically the delivery guy was having a bad day and after he left our office we could hear him banging on the gate and building yelling obscenities. I don't know if he was on the phone or yelling at himself. Aside from these two experiences there have been several other little things that I always just let go, but after so much builds up, enough is enough. Bottom line is, this business is just lacking customer service skills. They are rude and treat you like you are inconveniencing them for making them work at their job. read more

Worst sandwich I've ever had and completely disgusted with myself for not going to Black Rabbit down the street. I got a Buffalo chicken sandwich that was gross. Made with canned chicken (or a substance supposed to resemble chicken) that tasted HORRIBLE! The Buffalo sauce was mostly water from some industrial canned Buffalo sauce of the lowest quality. The sandwich mostly consists of onions (a lot of onions, ridiculous amount of onions) and watery Buffalo flavored water. I ate part of a half and threw the rest and the other half in the trash. I will say the bathroom is clean and the drink machine works great so there's that little but it doesn't make up for the absurdly low quality food. I'm going to go throw up most of what I ate here and hopefully not ever see this place again. Nice people tho. Don't eat here. There's a trash can you can grab cheaper and better food out of unless you hate yourself then eat here daily. read more

Wife and I have walked by this place many times in the evening when downtown after they are closed and wanted to try it so we finally got a chance at lunch today. The menu looks a little intimidating when you first walk in, there are a LOT of words up there, but then when you start reading and realize each board is for a style/meat choice and the top half is for hot, bottom is for cold. Fortunately there wasn't anyone waiting behind us so I didn't feel rushed in trying to read and decipher it all. I ordered one of today's specials, a "cuban" combo so it included a whole wrap, side (chips, potato salad, or macaroni salad) and a drink for $8.95. The wife got a buffalo slim half size. They were both excellent wraps, I think the wife enjoyed hers more than I mine which was pretty good, it didn't remind me so much of a cuban but I'm pretty partial to a good cuban sandwich and a major part of it is the bread, so a "cuban" may not be the best name for what I ate, obviously my opinion, still very good though. I will definitely go back but think I'll try something cold next time. read more
