Ive been to Spuntinos before but never tried The Bar Next door. Its a small bar attached to the restaurant. Its got a wide selection of alcohol to choose from. At the time we came in, Happy hour was about to start. Score! It was a sunday afternoon around 4pm . I ordered a white Sangria, but the bartender made me a red one instead. He apologized, and I said it was fine. It was a very nice size Sangria. We ordered some bruschetta from the happy hour (appetizer) menu. It was good. A few more tomatoes than I care for. We also had gnocchi in a pesto sauce. This also wasn't bad but I prefer the taste and texture from the one I get at Tresinos. We ordered a few drinks here with two friends. We decided to take a shot. The guys ordered their shot and then us girls ordered our shots. After we enjoyed our shots, the girl bartender brought us the bill. Why? We never said we were done. It was strange, and a bummer because she definitely could of increased her tip from us that night. Im not sure if we were getting cut off or if she thought we wanted the bill. Nonetheless, we continued the party at J Carters. This was a much better experience than the last time I was at Spuntinos and I see potential for an even better rating. read more

Went in on Wednesday and everything was incredible, from service to food. Our server told us about a seafood special and it was delicious! Our server, Christina, was absolutely amazing! She was very attentive, knowledgeable, professional and just great! Definitely will visit again! Best pizza dough in the area! I normally buy a large raw dough and grill/bake it up. Nothing better than homemade pizza. But if you're not sure how to make it yourself, then definitely come here and try their pizzas. Restaurant is Italian owned by same owners as Gourmet Italia. And if you Yelp the other restaurant, it's consistently top 5 in Temecula. Spuntino is just a smaller, less intimate, less expensive version. Obviously more refined Italian dishes at their other restaurant but almost the same. Their kitchen is open so you can watch the chefs cook up your appetizers and mains. Pizzas are fun to watch as well! Cute little market/deli for if you want to make your own sandwiches, pizzas, and pastas at home. Outdoor seating allows for a pet friendly dining. I've enjoyed almost every item on their menu and about half of their pizza concoctions with no disappointment. Tip: ask if they have clams or mussels. You're welcome! I had lunch here today the pizza was superb. The waitress was excellent her name was Ariel. There was at least seven tables with dirty dishes the poor girl was trying to handle a rush all by herself. None of the guys in the kitchen were even trying to help her. He was totally understaffed. I understand that it was a holiday veterans Day but it should have been staffed properly. In the past couple of years I think I've been disappointed every time I've ordered their pizza so we pretty much stopped. It seems like the crust never got crusty, it wasn't as flavorful as before, sometimes it was lacking in cheese. This is my family go to for great pizza. We moved to Temecula almost 3 years ago and have eaten pizza here over a dozen times. You just can't substitute the taste or smell of the brick oven. Now the reason I am giving 3 stars. I ordered 3 large pizzas (4.5 stars) and one dessert pizza ( 1 star this time). We always order the dessert pizza because my 4 year old loves Nutella. But unfortunately the pizza was not edible even for my 4 year old standards. He said it was super hard and refused to eat it. Went in here today around 12. We were some of the only people in the building. We got our appetizers in a timely manner and they were good. We waited another 40 minutes for our pizza with no sorry or update on our order. It started getting busier and many people were complaining about the wait. The waitress constantly waited on them and told them she was sorry. We were some of the only ones who didn't complain, yet had waited the longest, and yet we never got an apology or explanation or any service. I did over hear they had one chef and he was working on catering too. I don't fault him at all. I know the waitress was stressed out too. But it took another 40 minutes to get our bill (that we had to get up and ask for) so our total visit for a pizza, breadsticks, and salad was 2 HOURS long( when originally we were almost the only people in there). Though the food was pretty good I'm sad to say i won't go back considering even then we still got no sorry or any type of customer service that would have sufficed. Their pizza guy doesn't know how to cook pizza. When he cooks the pizza the bottoms are burned and the bubbles around the edges are burned black. If you're going to represent yourself as an Italian pizza kitchen please learn how to cook the pizza correctly.
