We went to P Town at the end of December and it was freezing outside so we wanted to find a good spot to have a drink. Squealing Pig is conveniently located on Commercial Street and they took our name and had us sitting down within 10 minutes. They follow social distancing rules so well that all of the tables have new massive wood and glass partitions between them. The wait staff was so informative and friendly. Very allergy friendly for celiac people-- and the food?! Out of this world. We got an order of chilly and Parmesan fries to split and it was the perfect way to warm up!! Here on vacation , We checked out the Squealing pig since they we practically the only restaurant opened past 8! Thankfully we did. Great food, quick service. Lighting was a little dark and somewhat noisy but I guess expected at a small pub. We will be back again! read more

i came here for lunch on vacation, and everything here was great. the ambience was chill and inviting, the staff is friendly, and the service was overall pretty quick. i bought the oysters and pulled pork sandwich with plain fries. i received the oysters only a few minutes after ordering them. although small, they were delicious, and 11$ for a half dozen which is pretty decent. i ate them in an instant, they were very tasty and refreshing. the food came out not long after. i dont often finish my sandwiches, but the pulled pork sandwich was absolutely delicious, i finished it all. i didnt finish the fries, but they were also very delicious. from the looks of everyone else in my family's plates (cubano, wings, and the squealing pig sandwich), everyone enjoyed their meals as well. the paper straws are super cute and add a little extra pretty color to the table. i also bought one of their shirts, the merch is so cute! overall a fantastic experience and i recommend anyone whos vacationing to Cape Cod to definitely get the food here. read more

Had an excellent and chill lunch at the Squealing Pig. 1/2 dozen Wellfleets to start, which were delicious and a little bit cheaper than other restaurants around (6 for 10.00--actually 7 for 10, as they gave us an extra no charge). They also have a great beer selection, and the crowd was a good mix all around. Best of all was the fish and chips and the fried fish sandwich (both were haddock). The fish was light and very fresh, and we had surprisingly tasty coleslaw and side salad. Also, we asked for a side of curry for the fries, and it was soooo good. There was college football on the one TV at the bar, and the service was casual and friendly. We were both surprised by how good the food was, and we would highly recommend it. read more

Used to really like it a lot but I've noticed changes in the last few years that are not for the better, just not the same as it used to be! -their prices have gone up! -their portions have definitely gotten smaller! -the quality of the food served seems lower! -Lots of restaurants do 1 of the 3 listed above all the time, -some restaurants even do 2 of the 3, -but you can't do all 3 of the 3 and expect to keep your same reputation!!! Went there last week with a friend; I had a chicken pesto toastie. Everything was good with all of the ingredients: the melted Brie was good, the pesto was good, the bread was good; except one thing was missing::: that was the chicken!!! I've had all types of chicken sandwiches my entire life and I've never seen a restaurant where they slice the chicken breast lengthwise into thin slices and then give you about three of those thin slices which did not even equal the thickness of half of a chicken breast!!! Needless to say I was still hungry when I left. My friend got the fish sandwich and it came out really soggy and they forgot to toast the bun so he sent it back. The replacement was better, the bread was toasted but still fell apart because the fish tasted watery as if boiled and it still didn't have a whole lot of taste on the batter or the fish itself. I remember that fish and their fish and chips being really good for the past many years, had them both many times. I wouldn't order it again!!! I am giving this place 4 Stars this year, as it is one of my favorites in PTOWN - yet this year feel not so kind. Every year they have amazing Shuckers at the bar. They are handsome and they are shucking oysters which is a skill. Each and every year, I drink at the bar, eat the food and of course take pics of the shuckers. This year... the shucker asked not to have his pic taken. You are in a seasonal town, you work for tips and you are working for a higher percentage of gays. Get happy! Get excited about your job and insist on photos. The last couple of years the staff has been amazing. This year... Seems really different. I will continue to come to this bar - as it is a favorite, but please hire cool, accepting and fun staff. You do not need a negative Shucker - especially with what you offer. This review is purely for the rude and terrible service. After waiting patiently for 30 minutes for a table, we got settled in and proceeded to wait at least another 15 minutes to even get menus. We ordered 4 dozen oysters, a bunch of $12 cocktails, plus food for the 2-year old we had with us. Suddenly we were told we had to leave to make room for people "eating dinner." We tried to explain that oysters WERE our dinner, and that we were only getting started (would have probably spent $150 bucks, at least), but they refused us service. This has never happened to me in all of my years of dining out. And I should point out no one else was waiting for a table. Rude, and disrespectful. Spend your money elsewhere and don't risk getting embarrassed by the staff. read more

We are here off season, and a lot of the restaurants were closed, but the squealing pig is open all year round so you know it's authentic provincetown! I got the lobster toastie and my husband had the hog burger. The lobster toasting had basil and tomatoes with cheese on thick bread that was toasted and pressed. It was toasted to perfection. The bread was perfectly thick, with grill marks on the outside but fluffy and soft inside. There was a decent amount of lobster and it worked really well with the basil and tomatoes, not too much basil to overpower the lobster. The fries were yummy and peppery, and loved that there was malt vinegar on all the tables to sprinkle on the fries! My husband loved the burger. The onions, peppers, bacon all came together and created a delicious burger. Really good prices (no tourist gouging). Oh and the fish and chips and curry looked sooooo good. A lot of ppl got those two dishes, we'll definitely try those out when we come back! read more

One of the best pubs/bars in the Cape....this place servces some of the best bar food on the cape, burgers, pulled pork sandwiches, great oysters and salads. They also have a great beer selection with both local, domestic and imports incl belgium beers, Tremens, Duvel, Chimay etc. The service was also very good for what is probably the biggest tourist area in the Cape. read more

Just like the Piggy in Brigham Circle, Boston except that it's smaller, less fun, has a much nastier bathroom and has a much meaner bartender. That being said I love this joint. It's surly. They don't give a crap how wasted you are. The windows open up to the street. Your drunk wife can embarrass you in front of strangers and it's no big deal, shit, this is P-Town. They have an OK beer selection and will stumble their way through to making you a semi-proper cocktail. read more

My wife and I stopped in for lunch on a cold December afternoon and sat at the bar for lunch. We ordered Wellfleet oysters, one half dozen with cocktail sauce and one half dozen with the ginger, wasabi and soy. Stellar! The oysters were so fresh I swear they must have been harvested no more than an hour before we ate them. We both had the smokey seafood chowder. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the best I ever had. Perfect for a cold day. We also ordered the crispy calamari. Delicious and perfectly cooked. And last but not least, we both had the Bloody Squealing Pig (bloody Mary). It had a generous pour of Ketel One vodka and was up to the standards I expect from the best bartenders. One of my favorite restaurants in Provincetown everything on the menu is amazing: the Tuscan fries, curry anything, and the kabobs are my all time favorites. But you cant go wrong no matter what you order. the burger selection: especially the grass fed, squealing pig burger, and the samon burger are amazing. the raw bar is great too, the local oysters, and oyster shooters are amazing. the staff is friendly and very accommodating and the beer selection is awesome. i highly recommend this place. just a note the Pig is a Bar/Restaurant so it may be loud at times but all the positives definitely outweigh the noisy atmosphere sometimes. I highly reccomend "The Pig" for lunch or dinner anytime. oh and dont forget the "toasties" they are an amazing collection of grilled sanwiches! read more

Stopped in for lunch today (3rd time) and was not disappointed. I had a bowl of chili which was excellent, my wife had a lobster grilled cheese a GREAT sandwich.
