Wife ordered the Hangover Helper although she was not hung over. I got biscuits and gravy with bacon and eggs. Very tasty bacon and biscuit. More gravy would have been welcome!! You cannot beat the breakfast at the Squeeze In, and I highly recommend the Waitljst feature here on Yelp, so you don't have to wait too long. I love the Lake Taco omelette and the Huevos Montana! The cheese sauce is a great add on to any omelette or scramble I am gluten intolerant and there are many gluten free options clearly marked. Did a DoorDash order to our AirBnB this morning- breakfast burrito and chicken fried steak. Both were great, large portions and reasonable prices. Sides we could choose from included "spuds" in addition to a couple other potato options (hash-browns, French fries) so assumed correctly that it meant country-style potato's. The spuds were a bit overcooked and were not seasoned which was okay only because there was gravy and salsa. Did get a side of fries in case the "spuds" were not as I had assumed and, while cooked well, I found them to be overly salted. The breakfast burrito was great, and without complaints. The chicken fried steak was moist and tender, the breading was crispy, and the gravy was actually seasoned! By far the best gravy I've had at a restaurant. read more

The name of this cute breakfast and lunch restaurant sounds like it would be cramped, but this place is actually quite spacious, and it's really fun, especially for kids. It has an alien theme with lots of stickers and odd decorations. The service was very attentive and speedy but we didn't feel rushed. We ordered a Club BLT and a pancake breakfast. I think it's a great idea that they add Pro Tips, which are recommendations. I wish we would have listened and upgraded the pancake dish to a banana walnut. Finding an early morning parking spot was easy, and there was an available table for dine-in. The interior has a charming 90's vibe, with colorful décor and nostalgic pieces. It's uniquely cute. The omelet, Turkey sausage, biscuit with gravy were ok, and the potatoes was delicious. However, their famous French toast, named 'the queen,' stuffed with cream cheese and fruits, was a total disappointment. The cream cheese inside was unexpected, it's hard to describe, kind of combination of salty/sour taste (it was nothing like cream cheese). The toast itself was tasteless,too. Overall, It's less than a mediocre French Toast. I couldn't even eat a quarter of one piece of toast, the whole plate with toast was just sit on our table. I was only able to eat the fruits. Both servers, who took the orders and brought the check, noticed the issue but didn't inquire, leading me to believe it might be a recurring problem with other customers. Unfortunately, 'the queen' was a waste of money and food resources to me. 2/5 rate would be good for the food but just because of the unique interior, I ended up to give 3/5. read more

Not a nut fan so I had blueberry substitute and wow, what a combo, sweet banana mixing with the tartness of the blueberry, all tied in by the richness/saltiness of the butter. By the way, I appreciated the fact it comes smothered in butter, not to the side, as if to say "This is the way you will eat this pancake" because let's face it, this is a delicious pancake, not a Kodiak cake, you'll burn it off walking around or hitting the trails anyway. If I could go 3.5 I would. On the plus side they sat up a table outside for us which was highly appreciated. That probably led to a few of our issues, since I understand there wasn't a table out there and they went out of their way to do it we could understood not having things like salt and pepper, condiments etc. My only real issue was asking for silverware 3-4 times and not getting them, this included AFTER the food came and we sat there just looking at it. I finally got up and went inside to ask and the server quickly apologized and was on top of everything. We even came out to make sure we had refills, checked on the food and that we were taken care of. BIG THANK YOU to the taller blond server (Im sorry I didn't get a name) The food was good, not spectacular, some of it was cold but I'm not sure if being outside played into that. The help was awesome and gave us plenty of time to order when we couldn't make up our mind. The kitchen was quick! We only had to wait 10 mins after we ordered to get our breakfast. The atmosphere is really cool. Hippieish and urban mixed with the mountain vibes is really nice and laidback. Make sure you go in earlier than you want to eat. This place is great, and it gets packed. A 30 minute wait is pretty average on a Sunday. I'm stoked to go back and squeezed in again. I think I'm going to try the Racy Tracy next time. I have been a longtime customer at squeeze in- from back when it was just this one location, the portions were as big or bigger than they ate now- but at much more reasonable prices- the prices had increased steeply once the other locations opened up. And I accepted that. But I'm currently terminally I'll& unable to leave my house. I'm really weak atm, so a good friend of mine wanted to get me breakfast so I wouldn't have to cook. I ordered something that I'd had at other places that was just amazing& oh so sweet and decadent, The Queen Maggie- with whipped cream on the side- along with some sides- spuds& bacon- as I intended on splitting it with my 10yo son(hungry boy)... my friend ordered the Roos pancake breakfast special. I'd also asked for some of the "bottomless" English muffins- which I only know about bc I've been eating there since forever. It's experienced like these that reinforce my belief that I make so much better food at home, for SOOOOOO much less than the crazy markup and penny pinching going on at nearly all restaurants anymore! The good: My friend enjoyed his food very much, tho not so much after his first initial bites, bc he felt compelled to go to 7-11& buy me whipped cream bc.. The bad: No whipped cream in my order at all. For how much they charge for freaking PLAIN, we're talking barely spiced if at ALL potatoes- it was a small amount. No English muffins. No syrup even!! THAT WOULD'VE COST EXTRA $6!! I didn't send my friend with enough money to cover my food and half gratuity at that point bc while I'm a crazy good tipper for in person service- I think that's what earns a tip& a tip should NEVER, ever be something that is taken, but rather something that is earned& then received out of gratuity- APPRECIATION!! Get crying out loud here. Is this what we're resorting to now? Needless to say all my nostalgia at Squeeze in has been decimated and replaced by shock& saddened distaste. Good for all these folks who are having a good day& receive the full breadth of the staffs ability. I, unfortunately was not so lucky. And they were slow. I even checked. So take the gamble, if you like- but I promise you there are better ways awaiting you at better, more attentive cafe's and bistros. You just have to take a chance in a different direction. Hint* the best places are typically only one or two locations at the very most. After that the initial vision gets diluted by greed and third parties/capitalism. Overall the food was good The reason I'm giving them 3 stars is because of the service. I checked in on yelp to have my name added, and we still had to wait an extra 20 min when we got there. Once we got seating you placed our order right away, since we checked the menu while we waited. Our food came out pretty fast. When we started eating our waitress Nicole came to bring us the check, mind you she didn't ask how our food came out, or if we needed more coffee. Crowded and small. Standard breakfast place as I wasn't entirely blown out of the water. We went with a group of 6 and was seated fairly quickly but we got there earlier than brunch. I ordered the sea breeze mimosa which had grapefruit and cranberry juice I believe. They didn't skimp on the alcohol so I was happy but the grapefruit was too overwhelming for me and no one in my group wanted to finish my drink. Haha. My boyfriend did the build your own sandwich and got a chicken sandwich. Chicken was dry and overall he wasn't too impressed. I ordered the crab Benedict which is not crab cakes but actual crab. It was pricey but the crab was good and there was plenty of avocado. Definitely get the potatoes with cheese and onion with it! Food was average. I'm not a breakfast lover but every now and then a place proves me wrong. This was not it. Would give it 4 stars but they forgot my boyfriend's order of orange juice so I knocked it down to 3. I had an Eggs Benedict and the potatoes on the side were stale and tasteless, the egg was over cooked. Overall, unappetizing. They also didn't give us any ketchup to salvage the potatoes either. Food and service amazing! There is a reason it's called Squeeze in. Might be good for 2 people at a table for 4 but it's literally 10 ft wide inside and we 3 felt cramped and uncomfortable. The walls are graffiti'd on so it also felt abit unclean to me. We usually go to Wagon Wheel and it's more comfortable and food equally good. We're here in Lake Tahoe on vacation and we're looking for a breakfast place which serves gluten free options. This restaurant came up. The place is small but nice. The staff greeted and seated us immediately. My family and I all ordered chicken fried steak and eggs. I have to say that it did not disappoint. I would have given this restaurant a 4 star except that it did not have gluten -free alternatives. Not a single one and on the menu they offered hashbrown but the waiter said their kitchen was too small to cook this. ‍??? As for the GF options most if not all the options are naturally GF.
