The food and atmosphere was good. The server was not trained enough to be selling the seafood. The manager Michael was only interested in the restaurants bottom line, not the customer. So they have EXTRA CHARGES to the bill on top or Fairly high prices on food in the first place. I think the price of food here is fair and it's pretty good for the most part but it really irritates me when they add charges for the kitchen pay because they don't want to pay a fair wage. On top they ask for a 20 percent tip which if I have good service I'm on with. I don't like added charges that they trick you into at the end. Food I would rate a 3.5-4 start service is usually good. Very disappointing experience. Ordered conch fritters, they tasted like deep fried stuffing and had little to no discernible conch. On to the main course, we ordered the islamorada style fish with redfish. The fish was over cooked and a bit dry, the crab/lobster cake on top was burnt and the veggies were from frozen so they were very unappetizing. Not a place we will return to. read more

The smoked fish dip was delicious as was the fish bites. After starting our apps we placed our dinner order. Our salads came out immediately and a minute later our dinners came out. So we literally had appetizers, salads, and dinners on the table all at the same time. That is a big pet peeve of mine. I had the shrimp n jalapeno grits. This is a restaurant with great real estate, but have chosen to use the loudest fan system known to human kind. Sitting on the deck sounded like sitting in a construction zone. We moved once, because the fan above us was also making large grinding noises. We had a nice salad, but the food was mediocre. This is the absolutely best place you will find in Cocoa beach. We went here for the first time and the whole experience was amazing. The wait was a bit long but totally worth it if you sit outside during sunset. The food is to die for and the best seafood and burgers lots for everyone. The entrees are on the bigger side so if your not super hungry go for a basket. They have misters that are perfect for keeping it cool even on the super hot days. The pier connecting to the restaurant is beautiful we actually saw dolphins right up close and the sunset was absolutely beautiful. MUST GO HERE!!! read more

We had cheek teriyaki and pineapple skewer for an appetizer, cesaer salads, and then for entrees: the 8oz Filet Minion, Grilled Shrimp, and Seafood Lasagna. Gisa, server, took great care of us and was very attentive and made good suggestions for dinner. We sat outside near the waters edge and saw several pods of dolphins very close. The bartender was very nice and attentive. The scenery here is fantastic. However, the food is average at best. The worst part about the food, you cannot customize it at all. If you want to add a piece of cheese to something, or make something a wrap other than a sandwich, they won't do it. We were there in the week between Christmas and New Year's and although they seemed short staffed, they handled the flow beautifully. This is a place that you could come by boat, or car, from Merritt Island, Cocoa Beach, Cape Canaveral, Satellie Beach, South Patrick Shores, or Indian Harbour Beach. We came here because we had a Groupon. After I bought it, I saw a friend of mine had reviewed it before and said it was good. The location is very strange. It looks like it's abandoned from the outside. If we didn't have the Groupon, we never would have went in. It truly needs a full renovation. It looks like it was something else and Squid Lips took over. For lunch, we both ordered drinks from the bar, which were pretty good. My wife got the fried fish and chips and I got the buffalo chicken sandwich (since I don't eat seafood). She loved the fish! Said it was some of the best she's had in a while. I tasted very fresh. My chicken sandwich was good, too. Very hot, but I enjoy that. Our waiter needed to work on his game. They were very slow when we got there. His first line was that he was glad we were there because he was so bored. He meant it kind of jokingly, but the problem was that through our whole lunch he would come back and tell us how bored he was. The joke got old. And when we were wanting our check, he was off chatting up a female staffer. I had to ask another waitress if we could get our check. The food was good and worth having. Came here on a Sunday. Beautiful weather. Great evening for a beautiful sunset. We arrived with a friend - first time for him to this restaurant. We had been here once before, and we thought he would enjoy the outdoor ambiance, especially sunset! Unfortunately, due to love bug infestation out by the water, the restaurant was not seating anyone outside. Inside - it's not really that nice. Kinda felt old and dirty. Depressing. The employees seemed depressed as well. No energy. No one smiling. Very transactional - not rude, but not at all welcoming or hospitable. The place was dead. Few patrons. After ordering, our food was delivered a few minutes later. Unfortunately, the server bringing the food out dumped cocktail sauce onto our guest's shirt and sweater. An indifferent "oh, sorry" was her only reaction. The food itself? Just okay. My fish and chips were mushy. Margaritas tasted like watered down pre-mix. Considering the overall ambiance, cleanliness and vibe of the restaurant; the experience is overpriced. After dinner, in the nearly empty parking lot, I noticed that our dinner guest had a lot more cocktail sauce on his shirt than I initially realized. And I mean a lot. Basically ruined. After this lackluster dinner, we ended up at Port Canaveral to look at the mega-cruise ship in port. All the restaurants were hopping. Vibrant. Laughter. Fun. For an appetizer we ordered a fried calamari appetizer, and the calamari was over cooked and rubbery covered in over-fried hard batter. For entrées, we ordered a seared tuna sandwich with chips and a blackened mahi sandwich with fries. The Tuna came out well done on a stale and burnt bun and was chewy and completely flavorless. The chips were unsalted and soggy. The mahi sandwich also came on a stale burnt bun and was flavorless and dry to the point that it crumbled as we at it. The fries (which cost extra as a side) were rock solid from over-frying and also under salted. I had high hopes for squid lips and their location is great, but we will not be returning and no one should waste their money there with so many better seafood restaurants in Cocoa Beach. read more

This was the third time I've been here and it was just ok. Whatever you do don't get the salad dressing. The salad was fine - but the Cesar dressing was like soup! I tried to eat the salad - but the dressing was gross. When I told the waitress that it wasn't good and asked for it to be taken off the bill she made this loud response that was quite embarrassing. The seafood pasta dish was ok - but not very flavorful - thanks goodness for Parmesan cheese - it helped a lot. The building is very tired and in need of renovation. Wonderful seafood stop by the beach! Went for lunch after a day at the beach. Every bite that we had was awesome. Fresh flavors. Even the sourdough bun seemed freshly made, and toasted just right. I reviewed the wrong location. Tried to delete the review.... so sorry about that. I have heard lots of folks saying Squid Lips, let's go to Squid Lips, Squid Lips on the island... etc so when I was driving somewhere else and saw it I pulled in and was happy to give it a go. I think next time I will keep driving. It was ok. I mean it's a nice location with lots of outside seating g so you can look at the water and watch boats and birds and maybe a dolphin if you are lucky. So, that's good. The food though.. ugh.. not really good. I had a grouper sandwich and it was ok. I believe it was actually real grouper (lots of fakes around here) the apricot lime sauce was ok but they were stingy with it. Bread was soggy and too soft. Needs a bolder bread. My one daughter had a Ruben that wasn't grilled at all. It was a ham and cheese with a pinch of pulled pork and pickles. No sir. That's not a Ruben. The fish tacos we got were fine. The kids meals (chicken and pineapple skewers) were crap and they were meant to come on frisbees but didn't... my grand kids were very disappointed. No sauce pineapple skewer not grilled... generally not good. Drinks... I mean if you want to pay Disney prices for beer come here. $7 for a 10 oz cup was too much. That's not how you get return customers. I do live local and would like to find fun places to hang out. We went for happy hour, we had the calamari which was so good! Fish fingers were good too! I got the Miami Vice drink and it was so delicious, I had to have a second one. Queso and chips were not that great, queso was very thick. It's so relaxing to sit outside on the patio with a view of the water. The only reason that I'm giving this place a 1 star is because I found a dead bug in my conk fritters. After I mentioned it to the waitress she said she would speak to the manager, came back with the bill and nothing was comped. I questioned the bill when the manager came by the table his excuse was that we were sitting outside. Like I told him this was not a bug that flew in and was still kicking around. It was very much dead and in the food. Customer service is soso, bread is different and very good, stuff flounder was good. Just want to start off by saying the staff was great. They were there for anything you needed abs were prompt. The food on the other hand was awful. I ordered the fish tacos, that had no flavor and were in store bought tortilla shells (fell apart right away). We had the calamari that was flavorless as well and over cooked and chewy. My wife ordered the mussels (god bless) Chewy and no flavor. They had a soup of butter and white wine. I personally had the Cuban sandwich and took 1 bite. We recently visited with family. Got a recommendation from Yelp sounded good, on the water with out side covered seating. Staff were great especially Craig, ask him to tell you a joke. Raw Oysters at happy hour were 88 cents, really good. Looks like a dive but don't let that stop you from entering. Food and especially the Bloody Mary were great! read more

Get the lobster macaroni and cheese! We came here, despite the mixed reviews and we're so glad we did! They were super busy, even though it was a Monday night, and were very good about explaining the wait & making us comfy at the bar while we waited. Plus, you can't beat $2 beers - and they were huge!!! Our bartender, Robyn, was phenomenal! She made drinks for the restaurant, and managed to get them all right - not an easy feat. Then when we got a table, she was our waitress, while still bartending for the whole place. She still was able to take the time to listen to what we wanted, make us feel comfortable, and make suggestions for delicious food. The Caesar salad was amazingly good, as well as our main course. We both decided on the lobster Mac and cheese. So much better than the stuff you make at home! Several of the reviews complain about the decor, but if you have been in Satellite Beach very long you will realize you have been sucked into a 1980s time warp. It's just how it is, but that doesn't make it bad. It's very clean and smells great inside. Definitely eat outside if the weather permits because it's beautiful! Went here today, mid-afternoon during happy hour. Nice venue on the river. Friendly bartender but... We ordered 2 22oz craft beers, a local craft beer that we like. We ordered baja fish tacos and fried calamari. There was a happy hour munchies menu which the bartender did not give us. We found out about it as we were finishing up our meal. We wish we had seen it and possibly ordered from it. The baja fish tacos were dry, no sauce other than some mayo thing on the side. There was some kind of cabbage in them that was totally dry. The taco shell was thin and tasted like cardboard. This was totally a miserable dish. The calamari was not much better. Overly breaded and dry. And to boot, the 22 oz beers cost us $13 each! We were floored. This is not champagne! Good thing we had a $10 off coupon. I asked the bartender about why we did not get a happy hour discount of some kind. He said we had a craft beer, no discount. Experience was a total bummer. This place is an overpriced tourist trap with mediocre food and overpriced drinks. We won't be back. read more
