Fast forward to April 2025, I went into the same Jiffy Lube in Lakewood for an oil change, and they told me I needed to change my brake fluid, and I declined because I had it done in August. When I called them out on it, they denied it, but I have the proof in the receipts (see attached photos). After all this, I took my truck to a Certified Honda Mechanic and asked if they would check my brake fluid to see if it was dirty, and sure enough, it was. I will ever go to a Jiffy Lube.

While it took Pep Boys an entire day just to run the diagnostic on my vehicle, and I wasted about a week and a half going back and forth after three appointments only for nothing to be done, Mt. View assessed the issues with my car, contacted the warranty company and cleared the work, and finished the work all in one day! I was told the repair would take approximately an hour to an hour and a half. I was already aware that my tires were worn and needed to be replaced, and I have an appointment scheduled with my dealership to have new tires installed. I simply needed the tire patched in the meantime. After waiting more than two hours, and refusing their offer to get new tires since I already had an appointment at my local dealer, I was informed that they wouldn't patch the tire. I completely understand and respect the shop's decision not to perform a repair. My frustration is simply with the amount of time it took to communicate that to me. I would have appreciated knowing much earlier that they wouldn't perform the repair. Had I been told upfront, I would have understood and made other arrangements. Unfortunately, I ended up spending more than two hours waiting without having the repair completed. I hope the shop can improve its communication and turnaround time in situations like this, as it would make for a much better customer experience.

Perhaps, needing service on repairs and parts that I have already paid for. On July of 2025, I took my car to a shop because my car was making noises...brakes, tires and so on needed to be replaced, I paid for that. Then, as I was driving my car it came to a complete stop. I was unable to move because it wouldn't turn on, my fuel pumps were the problem. Paid to have those replaced at the same shop that I trusted. On March of this year, 2026, I'm at Target and my car failed to turn on. I towed it to the same shop and they "repaired and replaced my non-working fuel pumps" because it was still under warranty. My car is acting up, possibly fuel pumps again. This would be the third time in a year dealing with the same problem. Long story short, brought it to G & J Auto Repair Shop to have George inspect it because I feel that he is honest. Spoke to him in March of this year when my fuel pumps gave out again. I had warranty and so I decided to take it back to old shop. He has been understanding, has checked my electrical concerns,inspected the fuel pumps and has taken the time to inspect my overall car, so that I can have a peace of mind! Another mechanic changed the spark plugs/coils but the code was still popping up. G&J was able to diagnose that I had a bad vacuum hose. They replaced it, and the code was cleared. For AC repair, George quoted me on the cost for AC compressor and fan replacement (parts & labor). Pricing was very good. Next day they had my car ready for me to hit the road. I pulled off the lot with my AC blasting ice cold, engine codes cleared, and car running Great! So thankful for George and team taking care of me. On November 5, 2025, my car suddenly displayed a P1009 engine code, so I took it to a different shop for diagnosis. The technician there was immediately surprised when he checked my oil. He told me the oil was extremely black, dirty, and low, and said it did not look like it had been changed recently, if at all. The dirty oil caused damage to my VVT solenoid, which now had to be replaced. I was charged $525 to correct the issue that occurred as a result of what appears to be a lack of proper oil service at Lakewood 76. I have photos of my oil dipstick showing how dark the oil was, as well as the invoice from the repair shop documenting the condition of my oil and the damage it caused. There were no oil leaks, and I drive my car regularly with proper maintenance intervals, so there is no reason my oil should have been that dirty after less than 3 months with normal driving use. I trusted this shop to do a basic oil change, and that trust was broken. Because of this experience and the unnecessary expense it caused me, I will not be returning and cannot recommend this shop to others.
