I'm 50/50 on this place, but I blame the tech we got. So at ur own risk. He got our info and keys and went to work. Then 15-20 min later another tech came in to help someone else and told them "hey have a seat and the beverages and snacks are free". My husband and I were like what??? We've been sitting here thirsty and munching on seeds.. like that would have been nice to know. Then our guy fixed what we brought it for and told us other things were wrong. So we told him we would address the most urgent suggestion he made. He said bring it the next day first thing in the morning. He was 1/2 hour late. Then he calls us at almost closing to say it's done. I get there and wait for him to come inside to ring me up but when he steps in he tells me to wait he's Guna help this other guy. Like I've been waiting since u opened but he goes first?? Then after he rings that guy up starts to shoot the shit like wtf?? Then he finally rings me up and says it's $250 more then he quoted cause he looked all day for my part and it came out extra?! So no call to ask me if I'm ok with that?? Whatever!! I thought I had found my new spot and I'm loyal but bad customer service is not my thing. However my alignment was well done. read more

I was referred to Star Smog & Alignment Haus by America's Tire - Long Beach Towne Center for wheel studs replacements. Kuo accommodated to service my car as walk-in customer. I left my car for couple of hours, but it was done before the committed time. He provided superb customer service and he was friendly. The pricing for the service was reasonable. On the next visit, I brought my wife's car for a smog check. It didn't pass initial inspection because it was detected that the car had stalled prior to my visit. I replaced a new car battery and got it re-inspected the following week. Same result, it didn't pass. I was instructed to drive the car for several miles to reset the drive cycle. After couple of visits later, the car finally passed the smog inspection. They issued me a certificate to complete the DMV registration renewal. Many thanks to Kuo & Binh for being so patience. Highly recommend this shop. I will continue to come here from now on for future smog service. read more

Great crew that will go out of their way to help you. They do both obd1 and obd2 smogs. Finding a place that does both is getting harder and harder to find. Also Kuo and the team do excellent jobs at alignments. They do my onroad and off-road vehicles. The larger rack allows for full-size Tundras to fit. Stellar. I honestly can't believe I've never bothered to search for a shop like this. An overdue smog check led me here and it's almost like destiny. Binh and company do a great job. To make a long story short, I asked Binh to do some "custom" work on my Speed3. What should have been an easy job, ended up being a pain. This was due to the last mechanic that overtightened and cross threaded many bolts. Star Smog was professional and was able to get the job done. It did take a bit longer than anticipated, but the job did get done right. These are the qualities that you want in a Auto shop - Patience, and Technically Sound which Binh and company demonstrated time and time again. appreciated his work. called a few places and his wasn't the cheapest but i would pick it again. i put in some new LCAs and needed an alignment. he heard me out, was very communicative and upfront about cost and what he would do. very pleased. had alignments before and they told me with my set up (semi offroad) they couldn't adjust the wheel forward even though i knew they could. i had bad rubbing with tire size that shouldn't rub. all the rubbing is gone and car feels and drives great. read more

Came in as a walk in and they were able to fit me in. I brought in my own specs and they were able to get it spot on with what I was looking for. A lot of the Porsche 911 guys come here, so they work on high end cars. I wish I came in earlier because my alignment was completely off, and the car drives like a dream after. I told her we called less than an hour before and they said they would do it in an hour, so she called the guy and he said he was indeed done. Went in for a last minute smog check. Was expecting a line but there was only 1 other customer that was getting wrapped up. Gentleman who helped, believe his name was Quo? Was very efficient, checked me in and completed the smog in great time. I was there for no more than 40 minutes (my friend was also getting a smog). After read good reviews on Yelp, I decided to take my Genesis for free wheel alignment. When I went there, Binh explained to me thoroughly what needs to be done for my vehicle. I was impressed how knowledgeable he was on wheel alignment and decided to go for the service paying $75 after Yelp discount. After the wheel alignment, I can noticeably feel the difference in my vehicle's handling and how responsive the wheels are to acceleration.
