At first sight just another irish pub...then you get the 50 cent wings..they knocked it out of the park!!!thick,juicy,crispy,and not drenched with sauce...lets talk about the sauces..we got a mild buffalo which had just enough tang and spice..the bbq was excellent sweet and not too thick..and finally the buff-q which was a combo sweet and sour,buffalo,and a gravy..i could eat that sauce on anything..delicious.. Very good food at cheap prices. The Juicy Lucy Burger is delicious as are any of their wings. Fries are hand cut and onion rings done right. Atmosphere is friendly and service the way you want it. Entertainment on weekends and seafood specials on Fridays. Drinks nice and cold and refreshing. It's a "Cheers " type of place. Enjoy ! read more

St James is a cozy and friendly Irish pub that is very well-known in Fall River for the perfect Guinness and live music!! They just recently began to serve food and it goes way beyond "pub grub". This is a small basement bar. Not an upscale drink spot. Also It's not a requirement to have a vegan option even in 2019 especially in a BAR. This is late night drink food. I have been coming here for years and never waited more then 15 minutes for food and NEVER seen the staff drunk. These bad reviews are laughable at best. Cheap food, strong drinks and a pub atmosphere. Burgers are only a few bucks and come with a mound of fries. Wings are the highlight here though with a wide selection of sauces. Staff is awesome as well and began to recognize us after only a couple visits. You can even catch some live Irish music on select nights. read more

Wanting a burger and a pint for dinner and not wanting to go to the same old places the wife and I decided to give St James a try. They pour a mean Guinness here(as you would expect in an Irish Pub). We had a burger, chicken sandwich, Buffalo wings, House Fries and Sweet Potato fries. Everything was tasty, this is a nice little out of the way pub. We sat at the bar and the service was so good we ended up staying for longer than we planned. They have live music on the weekends too. While I wouldn't say it's a place to go if you are looking for an upscale dining experience it is well worth the trip if you are looking for a good drink and some pub grub. Your typical dive bar...Underground pub, no windows, juke box, small u shaped bar with one friendly bartender serving decent drinks. Sometimes they have live music which is cool. I used to go to BWW but not after discovering this hidden gem, they're wings are always warm to cold but never hot. Guaranteed hot wings every time here. Been to a lot of wing places but St. James is by far the best around. Great cook that loves his job.. not something you see often in a young kid like him. Staff is very friendly. The Pub not only serves better-than-average food and attracts a pleasant crowd (many from the nearby hospital), we received first-rate (eager, thoughtful) service by a lovely waitress. My partner and I really enjoyed two of their famous burgers (just follow the menu -- it's easy) and other extras (onion rings, other standard appetizers) and were impressed by the selection of beers. I had the absolute worst experience here. My partner and I were embarrassed and discriminated against and asked to leave for sitting at the bar holding hands. Should have known things were not destined for greatness when someone who looked like the owner said, "you lookin for me?" No. And thanks for giving a customer such a wide berth. Not! Guinness? Yes. Proper pour. But after an extended round of F.bombs from the management like I wasn't there and a half hour wait for a cup of chowder, I dug into a styrofoam cup of something without much in the way of clams, potatoes or anything else.
