Absolutely amazing experience buying my first car at St. Mina Auto Sales!! After having a very negative experience at another dealership that tried to charge me an extra $2500 in vague "dealership fees", I was really looking for transparency. After finding St. Mina Auto Sales on yelp and reading their amazing reviews, I found the car I was looking for and messaged them through their website, asking for the out of the door price with a breakdown. I was amazed when I received a text from Mina, the manager, about 10 minutes later with EXACTLY what I had asked for! Even more amazing, besides the base price of the car, the only other things listed were the tax, the dmv fees (they save you the trip!), and the $65 document fee that is standard in California. Not only that, but Mina worked with me over text until 7:30 that night, pre-approving my loan and helping me find the necessary documents for the bank. I felt so confident going in to look at the car this morning that I scheduled an inspection (I trusted Mina but always like to double check- and no surprise, the vehicle was in excellent shape!) and moved forward with my insurance. When we got to the dealership, we were greeted by Felix, who we absolutely loved! He was so kind and helpful and friendly during the entire process. When an insurance issue prevented me from being able to take the car to the inspection myself, Felix drove it over for me and waited at the mechanics for an entire hour while it was inspected!! I was so grateful that he would go to that length to provide me with peace of mind during this process. Once everything checked out and I decided to move forward, I met with the sales manager, Henry, who was also amazing! He was so patient while I spent an hour dealing with a major insurance issue that almost prevented me from being able to buy the car. He was extremely kind and gracious, quick to smile and assure us that everything was fine. He definitely provided a lot of stress relief during the process. It is important to note that not once during my entire visit did I feel pushed or pressured at all. I'm a 22 year old female buying her first car, having only lived in California for 3 weeks, without my parents and only with my boyfriend who is as new to the process as I am. It would have been easy for them to try to up-sell me on things I didn't need but that never happened! Henry only asked once if I wanted to purchase an extended warranty or extra coverage and didn't even bat an eyelash when I said no. He didn't ask if I was sure or try to explain what I was missing out on, and it was extremely refreshing and quite a relief. I didn't even try to get them to go down on the price at all because I felt like they deserved every cent. (Also it was already a great deal.) Everyone I dealt with at St. Mina Auto Sales was extremely professional, personable, and genuinely kind, and it made for the best experience I could ever hope for when buying my first car. (It was well worth the hour long drive each way!) I expect to have my car for many years but will refer everyone I know here and will definitely come back when it's time to get a new car. After trading in the Volvo, I was told to call St. Mina auto and request a refund on the Gap Ins included in the purchase of the Volvo. So, I sent over an email, and quickly got a response. I was dreading contacting them being I gave my honest reaction review after having car problems so quickly, but I will never shy away from what I need to do, regardless of the discomfort. My first reply was what sounded like a sincere apology from the guy who sold me the Volvo. As I read on, the apology became real to me. He said that he realizes that customers spend money on repairing their used cars and that it is pretty typical for repairs to be needed on the cars bought, in some cases. He stated that they send all their cars to get a thorough inspection before they put them up for sale. He apologized and also said that in many if not all cases, once the car passes their inspection, they cannot foresee what specific problems may arise in the cars. THAT, I totally understand. I must add, in my first review, I didn't mention what I did like...and I really liked their no pressure sales. They were extremely friendly, informative, and are very patient with you. They didn't hassle me even close to as bad as where I ended up trading the Volvo in, and I really appreciated that. read more

I recently purchased a used SUV here, and I couldn't have been happier with the experience. This is a used car lot, but unlike the typical used car lot, they do not have pushy, stereotypical salespeople. When I first arrived, they asked me which vehicle I was interested in checking out. I asked to see the SUV, and they opened it up for me to take a look at the interior. They then asked if I'd like to test drive it. This is where it got interesting. Usually a salesperson comes along on the test drive, probably for a couple of reasons like: (1) to continue to sell you on the merits of the vehicle so you'll purchase it, and (2) make sure you aren't driving crazy. Here, they handed me the keys, asked for my driver's license and let me test drive the vehicle on my own. I was surprised, but appreciated the freedom to test the car out without a pesky salesperson telling me how great the car is, where to turn, etc. I was interested in the vehicle, so the negotiation process began. I never once got the feeling that they were trying to take advantage of me or rip me off. In fact, I feel like I got a great deal. It ends up that these guys are a family run business. In my opinion, they do business the right way, and I would gladly purchase another vehicle from them. read more

Maybe it was because I was a girl, or maybe it was because I know too much about cars to be tricked or b*llsh*tted by them, but I had the worst experience ever at St Mina Auto Sales. I went there in hopes of selling my '06 Dodge, because I'm moving across the country and I wont need it. Upon meeting the owner, I also met his..."business associate"... I dunno, it was some creepy guy with sunglasses, smoking outside. So he (owner) pops open my hood, and doesn't know what he's looking at. He looks incredibly confused. He then looks to his "associate" and that guy just nods. Immediately after (remember, we're still standing outside my car, looking at my engine) the owner asks me: "Is that coolant?" and is pointing to soapy water that got under my hood, because I had just washed it. I respond: "No, that's soap. See, I just got it wa..." but I notice the WHOLE time I'm responding to him, he's looking at his "associate," who just nods back to him. Then the owner says to me: "Your car overheats." To which I politely reply: "No, my car does not overheat, and has never overheated." But the whole time I'm speaking to him, he's looking at his "associate" who again, nods at him. The owner doesn't even look at me. St Mina Auto Sales is the absolute, stereotypical car sales establishment that makes customers feel uneasy, and disrespected. I would never, in my lifetime, recommend this place to anyone. read more

Keep away from those Egyptian guys (Magdy and Mina). Bought a 2002 Lexus from them for $7650 that appeared very clean and perfect condition, after 2 weeks I noticed oil leak from the engine with a loud sound and very low mileage per gallon (15/Gallon) , then I went to 4 different mechanics to get the best price to fix it and that was $1800. Then when I called and told them the full story and it's just two weeks since I got the car, SUDDENLY, the very nice and polite person Magdy changed into a gangster and cursed me and told me I don't wanna hear again from you and ganged up the line while I was still speaking. Really the worst car dealer I have ever seen. Some friends also after that told me stories close to mine...... I'm not the only victim. I definitely recommend St. Mina to anyone who wants a hassle-free and respectable experience in buying a car. Support small, family-owned businesses!! I was looking to buy a used car and had gone to multiple dealerships before finding St. Minas. I was interested in a particular car they posted for sale on car gurus. Immediately I appreciated how easy going the car salesman Felix was; He didn't hover over us or give any sales pitches as we looked at the car, nor did he push us to look at other, more expensive cars they had (something other car dealers do). He simply answered any questions we had and told us to let him know if we were interested in doing a test drive. I had my father with me who always does a thorough check, he can always spot when something was replaced/fixed. I appreciate that Felix let him do his thing. Since the used car had a certain car history, I asked if I can have it checked by the actual car dealership (Honda) just to have a piece of mind, especially since I planned to pay for the car in full cash and St. Mina didn't have a warranty for that car. The car looked to be in great condition but I wanted to make sure the internal structure was ok since it had an accident report. Felix said that they have their mechanic thoroughly check all cars to ensure they are safe to sell, but he understood my perspective and gladly went with me to get the car checked - he gave no pushback which I appreciate. Getting the car checked by Honda took a good 2 hours but Felix didn't complain. We actually had great conversations while we waited! And of course, it turned out that the car was in great condition. The process of buying the car was also a smooth process. I had gone to other dealerships that try to add ridiculous fees here and there, it's hard not to be in "defense" mode when talking about numbers. But the manager, Mina, was extremely respectful as he answered any questions I had about paperwork etc. without trying to pressure me to finalize the sale. I don't have much car-buying experience so I had very basic questions at times. The best thing is that they do not add those extra "incentives" fees that other dealerships try to include in the final price. (I had gone to a different dealership that added an extra 3,000 to the final price, and it was only until we asked about it did they explain that we HAD to purchase their protection plan, but they were trying to charge us without warning! Unfortunately, other car dealerships add such fees but name them different things (maintenance, accessories, etc. )) St. Mina just adds very reasonable fees (DMV, paperwork etc.) and nothing like the typical 3k from other dealerships. St. Mina is now my go-to dealership for myself or loved ones. You will not find other dealerships in the area that matches their genuine customer service and pricing! read more

However the FJ these guys had matched the condition explained on their website, and the truck was one of the cleanest examples we came across in our hunt for this model.
