This is a great place for breakfast and lunch! The pancakes are fluffy and piping hot! So many toppings to choose from.. the Oreo pancakes amazing ! Omelets delicious and had a lot of veggies in mine . My friends got lunch items the patty melt and the Greek egg lemon soup . Probably the best Greek soup I have ever had! Like Grandma's! Service amazing from the hostess to the bus staff and our server Santiago was terrific. He provided the best service and always a smile . I came here with a friend for breakfast. We waited 25 minutes for a table because it was a very busy morning. We get to our table, but I noticed my fork was dirty and had dried food on it. No worries, mistakes happen. I told the waitress and she gave me a new one. I ordered the Down Home Benny. It was pretty good. We enjoy our experience and the waiters were nice and attentive. Unfortunately I'm at home, about 3 hours after eating here and my stomach feels really sick. I wanna say it was because of the food, it's the only thing I've eaten today. I don't believe I'll be coming here again. I just feel like the fork and my stomach feeling like this are some red flags to me. I'm sorry to have to write this review. read more

I was excited to eat here especially when I seen the crepes on the menu. I ordered crepes and a country skillet but the crepes were not made right at all, way too thick to be considered crepes and COLD! So I sent them back, the waitress very dismissively took the food back and at the register when I was ready to pay, they told us that they could not take it off the bill even tho I did not eat it. This was news to us because the waitress did not say that, there are NO SIGNS that say that, it's not noted on the menu, and I've never heard of a rule like that in my life at any restaurant. We asked to speak to the manager and she barely stayed still to speak to us, it felt RACIST. No respect at all. Barely acknowledged us. She was dismissive and didn't even listen to us or showed us where that was a rule. We called the restaurant from the car to speak to an owner or GM and they offered NO HELP and hung up the phone. I WILL NEVER SPEND MY MONEY HERE AGAIN! The crepes are not even crepes. Terrible experience. Racist management. read more

For the hype I was really let down - the pancakes were not that great and I was told afterwards that I should have gotten one of their "specialties" like Bananas Foster - but essentially this just means that they put a sugary syrupy flavor on bad pancakes. I also thought the eggs were not good - I did not finish more than a couple spoonfuls and my wife did not either - they tasted as though they were sitting around in a warmer for a while and not at all fresh. Overall I would not go back - I find much better breakfast at an IHOP or a Denny's for the money that we spent. I was not impressed and there are much better breakfast places around. It's also worth noting that they have an upcharge for using a credit card - it's not just the basic 3% that some places charge - it seems more like 8 - 10% and I am not sure why, an the woman working at the register tells you it's because of the credit card but that is false and I feel like they might be making extra money from every person that apays with a credit card!! I found this out and used a debit card so that I would not need to pay a huge "credit card" fee. Very odd. read more

I am visiting my mom with my wife from Arizona. My first impression, wow food must be great, so many people here. My cousin had invited us. I've owned several restaurants in California for years. I am now retired from the industry.. I walked in placed my name on a list and proceeded to wait (45) minutes. I watched as families came in and out. I then saw the male host give someone apparently a friend or a regular customer what I would call a bump in line number. He sat this couple ahead of us. So I asked him why? Apparently they were waiting in the car he said. First lie I saw them pull in as we were walking in... Im trying not to use swear words. This host then takes us to a table with 3 chairs and were a family of four. Even my cousin who has patience and a very kind heart said this is enough let's leave. Had my mother not been there I would have fd bombed him so bad. I think your probably good there if you don't mind favoritism and crap service from the host after waiting 45 minutes. Went to the Oak Lawn location early on a Saturday morning and asked if the Corn Beef hash was canned and was told it was not. I ordered the Irish Eyes skillet and of course the corn beef was canned. When I told this to the waitress, she insisted it wasn't. If it wasn't canned, why would you make it homemade to replicate canned. The hash browns in the skittle were not browned at all and the hollandaise sauce was blah. I miss the Oak Lawn restaurant; it was so much better for breakfast. I love the food and the service here. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because they have very few vegetarian options. They have no veggie meat at all, so my only choices here are veggie omelette, skillet or salad.
