Been there several times as they are around the corner from my apt. One of the best bfast places in Chicago. Simple food, made well with really good ingredients. Ham is off the bone ham, sausage are really good. Pancakes are fluffy perfect. The French toast are just excellent. Make sure u try the ones with Greek yogurt, granola and honey. The coffee is excellent too. Owners are always there, attentive and very friendly. The only issue is that now the secret is no more and even on work week days u will have to wait. Yesterday June 15th we went to stacked in oak lawn as we usually do weekly or bi-weekly since they opened up. Their food is excellent & we never have any issues. Service is always great as well. Everything was going good until my niece was feeding her baby soup & he threw up on the table, we happened to have just asked for a bunch of napkins so we threw it on top to cover it and my niece went to the restroom to change her son. We didn't even have a chance to get up & clean it. When Christina the owner/manager comes over hands us a plastic bag & roll Of paper towels proceeds to tell us to clean it up because they can't touch it for sanitary reasons & my niece & son have to leave or the health department can fine her $500 or shut her down. I was shocked! I'm like he's not sick she just over fed him he has a gag reflux issue. She was like it doesn't matter, I just took the health department course & it's unsanitary & if anyone takes a picture with their smart phone & puts it on social media we can get shut down. I'm like we all have kids & have never been thrown out of any establishment for throwing up. I asked her for the health department notice that states this. She has yet to email it to me. Long story short this was embarrassing & very unprofessional. We cleaned it all up, wipe everything down with our baby wipes since she was too busy to bring us anything but paper towels. We packed up our stuff which took to go & had to go home & eat. We shouldn't have paid a dime but we did. It's just a shame that an establishment like this is obviously not kid friendly. I was extremely disappointed with my steak skillet from my call-in order. I paid $23.59 for what was supposed to be four prepackaged ounces of steak. After digging through a tons of potatoes I found five little bit size pieces which left a lot to be desired. We were never asked to get a 2nd round of coffee. Waitress was nice. Food was ok although I have tasted better pancakes. Potatoes were bland. They had no flavor. Food did arrive fast. Also, we were dissapointed in the end. We were super RUSHED to leave our table! I l know it was Sunday and other people were waiting for a table but that was rude. The manager was seating people as quickly as he could and kept the wait to a minimum. Very well organized. The seating is limited, it is a small space but it is worth the wait. Had a great meal at Stacked on 95th street this week. The place was really busy for a Monday morning, but I was seated quickly, at a nice spot overlooking 95th street, and given a water and menu and coffee right away. I ordered an omelette with veggies and ham and a side of crisp bacon and it was all delicious. Omelettes are often kind of runny in restaurants, not sure why that is, but this omelette was perfect (see pic below). The atmosphere inside is bright because of the big (clean) floor to ceiling windows, the seating area has a nice decor, the servers are friendly and attentive. The pricing is very appropriate - they even have a breakfast special if you want. There is free parking in behind the restaurant, off of 95th street. I will be back at either this location or the location on Cicero Ave in Crestwood to try the lunch sandwiches - they sound delicious. See pictures below. Went yesterday for Saturday breakfast. I consider myself a pancake connoisseur and love trying new places for breakfast. Saw this place on a Top 10 chicago breakfast list, and drove an hour from Arlington Heights to try it. Ordered the Ole Skillet and Short Stack Oreo Pancakes/Red Velvet Oreo Pancakes. For the first time in a very long time, I didn't even come close to clearing my plate....which was quite the shock to me. The Ole skillet was awesome, but super filling from the get go. The Oreo pancakes were great, and I'd recommend those over the Red Velvet Pancakes if you're a sweets pancake kind of person like me. There was a 45 min wait, but that was expected.
