Not very mexican at all. it was decent if not edible. the salsa that was provided was more like something from a tin can. fortunately they had siracha sauce. the restaurant is hidden inside a construction area. its very difficult and somewhat dangerous to enter. lets just say i wont be coming back. read more

We love this place & frequent it multiple times each visit to California! Everyone is super friendly & always accommodating. The food is consistent & satisfying. Every time we have ordered fruit, it is fresh & our orders are well done. I have noticed the staff are hard working & always make you feel welcome. The waffles are SO good & fluffy, the crepes have plenty of fresh strawberries too. An FYI...for anyone who goes here...please do not block the doors where the staff have to come in & out. It makes me crazy, I can't imagine the frustration it causes for the staff! Seriously people, the sign says "do not block"...that doesn't mean step out of the way & then step right back, you will get your food, don't worry, they're fast! The last time I came to this location was the final time. The pancake was bland and out of a box, the potatoes old smelled like grease which means they use the same too for everything. The fact people line up on the weekend s and stand in the middle of pch to eat really bad breakfast is astonishing. This breakfast is nothing but a cheap imitation of ihop. read more

Went for breakfast around 8 on Sunday morning. Was disappointed to not see full service restaurant. You order, pay and they give you a number? When your meal is ready they bring it to the table. You're pretty much on your own after that. I had the omelette which was just OK. small portion of potatoes were served with omelette. A bit on the greasy side. My friend had the breakfast burrito. They offer additional seating next door but you have to carry your drinks, plates, food and silverware outside, down some steps to an empty store next door that is being remodeled. Literally. Unfinished construction. We had to sit next door our first time and it was impossible. Any time we needed something like water or coffee or napkins we had to walk back outside, up the stairs, and into the restaurant to get it!!!!!! Totally killed a relaxing breakfast. I love this place, they have the best pancake. I do not like pancake but I will eat only their pancake. Their pancake is very soft like clouds. I am not a big fan of maple syrup, I like to eat the pancake with butter only or they have a berry syrup and coconut syrup which we can add how we like. For the maple syrup fans they also have that so no worries. The customer service is also very good. They try really hard to make the customer happy with a full belly!!! read more

Okay, due to the wife's busy work schedule we're finally getting a chance to come back here. Since it's been six months we're going with our cravings for what we ordered last time. Yes, not the most exciting of plans. The good news is that our opinions from last time were no fluke. This place is "too legit to quit". The SPICY CHICKEN & BACON WAFFLE is nearly as stunning visually as it is in the mouth. It consists of chicken katsu, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar jack cheese, spicy mayo topped with maple syrup and powdered sugar. I added a bit more maple syrup as I wanted more balance to the sweet/spicy/salty combos going on. This thing is truly delicious and one hell of a gut bomb. I will skip lunch, play golf and be just fine until dinner. The wife had the KALUA PORK BENEDICT and it was seriously visually appetizing as well. The tender and moist looking pork and the symmetry to the dish caught my eye. The wife tore it up. The COFFEE is quite good and smooth (not bitter). The staff are friendly and work the room well. I promise next time I will try something different such as: captain mac nut french toast, nutella smores french toast or the blueberry ricotta crepes if it is available. And we'll find a way to be back in less than six months. read more

Either way, the food is lacking freshness and attention to detail: The wheat in my wheat pancakes was not fresh (if you're not sure what that smells like, just stick your nose into a bag of very expired wheat flour); Coffee was not hot (and not very good either); Water tastes like it came from the tap (unfiltered); Eggs dripping in butter; Sausage not good.
