We were in Hurricane UT with a bunch of friends in our RV club. We go there every year in April or May. One of our traditions is to stop at the Stage Coach Grille in La Verkin for a group dinner. We had a reservation for 16 & upon arrival, we were seated right away, no waiting. Our waitress was patient, friendly, energetic & quite helpful when we ordered. Believe me, with a table of 16, she needed all of her patience! Our orders ranged from salads to salmon to smoked ribs to chicken fried steak to their tomahawk ribeye steak. One of our party said his ribs were dry & overcooked & he sent them back. The owner came out later to ask about the returned order of ribs & listened as the member of our group explained why he didn't care for them, I had the same thing & thought the ribs were great. I can't even begin to say how amazing this place is. Wow wow wow, a gem in Utah. We were in town for a friend who was running a marathon during the weekend. First night, we happened to see stage coach grill and decided to walk in. Not having reservations or knowing anything about this place. Of course there were loads of people waiting outside which we didn't think we could get a table. Checked in to put our name down and was told it'll prob be half hour or so. Instead, there was some seat avatar the bar. Perfect.... Let me just say, the hospitality here is beyond top notch. The friendliest and sweetest staff. I've been to plenty of restaurants, upscale and all. But far this place customer service beats it all. Service was amazing. Everyone was so kind and friendly. We meet Rich who was the owner. He went around to introduce himself and check to see how everything was. The hospitality was amazing. Just so friendly. As well as Paul who was the manager. He's such a sweetheart. Friendly and professional. Everyone was the sweetest. First night we were taken care by Alisha, also the sweetest. Just talking with everyone you felt like you've know each other for ages. Such a good impression on our first visit, I popped in again for breakfast the following day and we made reservations for the following night while having dinner first night. You know it's good when you come back three times in two days. Second night for dinner, Vanessa took care of us. As well as everyone else, she was so sweet and friendly. I can't say enough of the customer service here. The hospitality is all so welcoming. You feel like family. Not to mention the food, wow. The poopers is a must. Made fresh on site. There's also nightly specials offered. Everything we had was amazing. If you like meat, highly recommend the tomahawk steak. Food was full of flavor and generous portions. I can go on and on. Service was excellent. It wasn't as busy as I thought it would be for a Friday night and was seated right away for a party of 5. Their special was prime rib so we ordered that. For being prime rib it was the toughest piece of meat I've ever had for a prime rib and that's my only complaint. The sides of baked potato and veggies were good. The salad was a tiny portion that the dish came with...wish it was a bigger portion since I was sharing the dish. The panacotta with fresh strawberries was a great dessert for someone like me who eats gluten free. The ambiance was a tourist trap with a stage coach in the front. Definitely picture worthy. We went to Stage Coach a bit before 9PM on Friday night, everything else in town was closed or closing. Stage Coach was still open and serving people food. We enjoyed some local Utah beers and then I got a salad and added grilled chicken and my significant other got a burger. We both liked our food, nothing extraordinary. There was definitely a reason my son ate here multiple nights on a recent trip to Zion! The food, service(Pam was excellent) and low key atmosphere were perfect. We asked about their Tomahawk steak for two as it was a listed special. Pam presented us with three fine Tomahawks but we decided against it as they were large! The funny thing, on the way there Zac Brown was singing his Country Fried song on Pandora. So... I had to get the Country Fried Steak. It was excellent. The gravy was not overpowering so each bite was a delicious chunk of lightly fried steak. The steak was tender and I was happy about my order. The dinner came with a well prepared backed potato and perfectly cooked green and yellow squash with onions. My dining partner selected the salmon with the same sides. This was such a great late night dinner spot after a long drive. We had the potato skins and chicken noodle soup. And then returned two more times!!! Hahaha we never do that but this place was worth it. The second time we came we got the chicken Marsala (mouth-watering) and the catfish special (my hubby gobbled that up sooo fast). Went for a Humvee tour in the blazing heat and we were looking for a good spot to get a burger. Our driver/guide recommended this place and it did not disappoint! Wow where do I even start. I'm a Vegas local where there is no shortage of fancy dinners so my expectations are kinda high. My brother and his girlfriend wanted a steak dinner so I browsed and browsed till we landed on the Stage Coach Grille. Thank god we found them. The atmosphere was so amazing, we were welcomed by smiling faces and the decor felt so homey. Our waitress Dallas was phenomenal! She catered to our every need. Including keeping my drink filled through-out our dinner. I'm a thirsty guy so that means so much to me. She offered amazing recommendations as well. The salad was just okay (more for me just to get my veggies in) but I didn't expect anything amazing since this isn't exactly the place for a hippy vegan menu with mind blowing salads. My chicken fried steak was HUGE. It was fried to perfection and the gravy on top was so rich. Service was also friendly and efficient. My water glass was always topped off without me having to ask. Living in Southern Utah, you find yourself seeking great steak restaurants. While some of the previous reviews claim they had the best steak of their life here, I certainly can't claim that level of quality. However, kudos to the chef. I break the heart of steak lovers everywhere by ordering mine medium well and that isn't an easy goal with a thick New York but the chef nailed it! My wife also had high praise for the salmon, cooked to perfection. Sometimes she finds restaurants over cook and kill the moisture in the salmon but that wasn't the case here. Great job chef! Our waitress was very nice. She was hammered with multiple (Friday night) tables but still took the time to chat with each of her guests. Overall, it was a great experience. If we lived a little closer I would love to try their breakfast. I just don't think you can go wrong spending your hard earned money here. Maybe it was just a bad day and they couldnt handle the traffic but this was not a good experience for me here. First off, its very hard to stand in the very small area between the barn doors and hostess stand. Theres only enough space for maybe 3 people at a time. I shared it with a family of 4 while the rest of my party waited in the car luckily. I waited about 5-10 mins to even be acknowledged that I was standing there. I know I was seen, but absolutely nothing was said to me until a new party walked in and stood infront of me. Then as they were greeted I quickly said uh, hello, to the waitress that apparently still didnt see me there. She also happened to be our actual waitress once we were seated. Lucky us. She asked if we wanted breakfast or lunch but we were only given breakfast menus and after waiting on her to come to the table we knew what we wanted and didnt want to wait anymore to look at a different menu. She forgot our waters, my husbands OJ, our bread that came with our meals and a sauce that I asked for on the side. I will preface by saying that this is the night before Thanksgiving and the place was packed. Staff rushed off their feet. That is why I am giving as many stars as I am. On a normal night I would have given 2. First impression was a cowboy rustic restaurant. I figured it would be smart casual based on the prices on the menu indicating it was a steakhouse kind of place. It was very casual. Sweatshirt and pajama bottoms sort of casual. My husband ordered chicken fried steak with fries (the ratings said how good the fries were). The meal came and was charred and so thick with breading that he had to search for the meat. He didn't care for the gravy that everything was smothered with. He was given mash instead of the fries. We requested them from the extremely busy waitress but they did not arrive. I ordered the balsamic glazed salmon and requested extra veg instead of the pilau rice. I am not a fan of my salmon glazed with sweet substance but that seems to be the 'thing' so I figured I would suck it up and maybe scrape it off if needed. When the plate came it was swimming in sickly sweet glaze. My veg was floating in it and there appeared not to be any on the salmon! I salvaged some of the overcooked vegetables at the other end of the oblong plate and they were edible. The salmon itself was beautifully cooked and was delicious. When the waitress was able to get back to us, we requested the bill and the fries. She had forgotten about them, understandably, due to the busy-ness of the evening. We requested them to go and they were absolutely perfect. Trouble is, we are staying in a motel so did not have any condiments - salt or ketchup to enjoy them with so they will remain mostly uneaten. $9 for a glass of wine. IMO overpriced. In retrospect I wish we had eaten at Red Fort which is my favorite Indian Restaurant and where we plan to eat on Friday evening. If I were to go again I might order potato skins or something else suitably casual. read more

I had a ribeye steak that was good and one of my friends had a excellent hamburger. We had the made from Scratch zucchini appetizer-it was very good. My husband and I shared the flat iron steak, which came with a side salad, baked potato and grilled veggies. The substantial steak was deliciously seared with just enough char. The service was great Will gave us great recommendations and even brought out the tomahawk steaks (they could feed a small family). Fun little place and the food was amazing! I also got the punch cocktail drink which was yummy. I got the Salman special of the night which was to die for. Our waitress was so sweet as well. We went for our friend's bach weekend and it was also another one of our friend's birthday's so we got a free slice of cake for her. We sat on the outdoor porch area but it's enclosed.
