Today was the first & last day that I visited this location. The wings & pizza were good however, one topping was missing which were pineapples. I didn't check the pizza prior to me leaving. When I opened the box to eat at my work place I noticed that the pineapples were missing. When I called to speak with the bartender to express my issue I was not properly accommodated. Stained glass pub is a staple in our house. We've been going there for 30+ years which speaks to its reliability. The pizza there is thin, sweet sauce and we always get it "well done" because we like our a little crispier. We also regularly get the crab pretzel (which isn't really a pretzel, but their dip is great) the Reuben, the tuna melt, wings... really everything is solid. It won't blow your mind, but you won't leave disappointed. If you eat at the restaurant too, they have great wine pours. read more

My friends and I came today to eat lunch in your courtyard. Lovely courtyard, shady, well maintained except for your poor policing of the No Smoking policy. My friends came to meet me (my friends came down from Gaithersburg) because I prefer to eat outside. We all knew your restaurant and found the food to be quite good. Unfortunately, my friends and I are very sensitive to cigarette etc. smoke and there was a man drinking a martini and puffing on a very pungent cigar or..... He was in the No Smoking section of the courtyard. He paid no attention to the one No Smoking sign I saw. He was quite comfortable, puffing away. Your employee offered to ask him to leave - we had already done so before reporting the problem, yet he never moved. There was no way we could eat in your courtyard. Smoke doesn't magically disappear when the smoker leaves. For me, I cannot recommend your restaurant to anyone like me who prefers not to eat inside at this time and especially those who cannot tolerate the smoke. Too bad really. You lost 3 customers who would have eaten lunch today and probably have lost us for the long term, all because you did not (apparently cannot and do not) police the courtyard for smokers. Why put up No Smoking signs if you're not going to do the needed policing? I've chosen to give you a 1 star review because of this. That's unfortunate because the food is good. Stained Glass Pub is a great place to grab some pizza! My wife and I really enjoy the pizza here and so does the rest of our family. Our family has ordered pizza here for years, dine-in and take out, it never disappoints. The pizza is really good, and the toppings on the pizza are really fresh. We really like ordering some type of combo pizza with pepperoni and sausage, the sausage has a really good spice and taste to it, as well as the pepperoni. We love adding veggies to pepperoni and sausage pizzas, but when we come here, we have to order one pizza that is just pepperoni and sausage because the flavor of the meat is excellent and it's the best combo of pizza at this spot. The pizza slices are cut into squares, which makes the pizza easy to eat. The cheese and sauce or delicious as well! Where do I even begin. Called to place a really simple of a large pizza, toppings were chicken, PEPPERONI, banana peppers, and green peppers. I arrive at the place; pick up my pizza and drive on home. Yes I was an idiot and didn't check the pizza before I drove away, I was so excited to eat it. I get home, pizza is missing pepperoni. Eat some anyway, pizza is very tasty so I'm happy. I get to the center of the pizza, the pizza is fucking uncooked as hell raw as fuck, I can literally taste the flour. Disappointed, would try again when someone else is baking and with a better attention to detail. I would ask for the pizza well done also. This has been here for so many years, and it definitely has a middle America, tried and true vibe. We came on 1/2 price burger night and our bottle of wine was also half priced! We got a bottle of pinot grigio and CHILEEEE it was good!!! The wings were simply amazing! Crispy, meaty, and buttery golden buffalo wings. We almost fought over them LOL. All of our burgers were tasty, well-crafted, and overall good. My service was slow, and she forgot a lot of what we asked for (burgers all missing the bacon, forgot to bring us the wine, forgot the condiments we asked for). We saw her chatting with coworkers, so I'm assuming she just got distracted. We had to flag her down for a lot of things, which made me take the dining experience rating down from a 4. She never came back to see if we needed or wanted anything else. We had to go to her whenever we wanted something else. After her shift ended, no other server ever came over to see if we wanted or needed anything else, we had to hunt some down to order and she was pretty rude too. I am so sad that I did not discover this place sooner! The mister and I wanted some late night food, and we came across this place on Yelp. We decided to give it a try, and we were super pleased when we left. Service: our server was very prompt with orders, taking plates away, check, etc. 5/5 stars for quick service, considering she had to serve the whole bar area. Food: didn't expect too much, but I was very impressed. We got buffalo wings, a cheeseburger, and a small cheese pizza to share (I know, it's a lot for 2 people, but we wanted to pig out that night). Wings: slightly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, nice kick. Burger: nice and plump, also juicy, delicious and fresh buttered bun, comes with fries (I could eat these fries forever... holy moly, crisp and nice and fat). Pizza: thin crust (YUM), a great mound of melted cheese, came fresh out of the oven. All of the food came out as soon as it was ready, so it was that much more enjoyable. Food is not only about the taste; texture plays a huge role in my opinion. You wouldn't want soggy fries or hard chicken, right? This is a good little pizza joint positioned on an odd little corner. Parking really isn't the best. They have half-price pizza Mondays and Tuesdays for dine in only. Service is usually prompt even when it's busy. Pizza is pretty good as well. Has a thinner crust but I like that. I have also had a couple of the appetizers and my favorite is the Irish Nachos. Average hang out spot, good for small groups. Came here late on a Monday night with a couple friends. The space is cozy, and despite the name, has a pizzeria type of feel, vs. a pub. Monday and Tuesday nights have a half-price pizza special, and Wednesday is half-price burgers. Happy hours start weekdays from 2PM-7PM for those looking to get an early start. Feeling a bit adventurous, we decided to order Irish Nachos, Buffalo Wings, and a Medium Pizza with Crispy Bacon. All were pretty good. Irish Nachos were a first for me...they reminded me of poutine slightly, except with potato slices instead of fries, and no duck. Presentation could have been better being served in a standard bowl, but smelled and tasted good. Buffalo wings have a good texture, but I wasn't a fan of the buffalo sauce - it had a sort of sugary taste to it on the end. Celery that came with looked a little old... Pizza was a good deal - the medium was more than enough for the 3 of us with the appetizers we ordered, so there were leftovers to take home. Only $7! Service was a little bit scattered...saw a few employees on their phones or huddling near the bar/kitchen. If you want a solid old-school sports bar, complete with a dining room for the family, then this is the spot. It is LOUD, pizza is delicious, and this whole place feels lost in time. They occasionally have live music performing in the dining room, and I'll admit I'm usually here with a group of friends so I've never made it over to the bar itself. I asked about the fish fry, and was told it was great. Come to find: Crab dip was horrible, bread wasn't baguette and was microwaved warm, not toasted. Peas were boiled (no taste) Haddock was over cooked and oil soaked Baked potato was ok. (The only thing I ate) Salad was not fresh. I had only taken a few bites of the one filet, since that's all I could stomach and went to work on to baked potato. The owner/manager(older gentleman with a double chin) came over and asked if everything was ok, and I was allowed to get merely 2 words out and he said "you can't stay in business for over 40 years without serving good food." At which point he then took my plates without asking... I'm not sure if he's suffering from some sort of disability, but it was clear to me then that there was no way a discussion was going to be had with him. He placed the bill on the table and walked away. I didn't want to appear petty in front of my date, so I paid the bill without a complaint. $46 for a baked potato. Never going back. Ever. read more

They never checked on us and had to seek them out to get a refill of water. Onto the food! We had the basket of fries with a half cheese/ half pepperoni pizza. The pizza tasted great, however, it was sooooo greasy that even though you enjoyed it at the moment, you leave regretting it due to a sure upset tummy. I swear the pan had an inch of liquid grease when we finished the pizza. If the type of pizza that would make you smile after a long night drinking, but again, it was just okay. This is definitely becoming a quick favorite of mine. The wings are pretty damn good (I'm from Buffalo so I think this holds some weight) and are a huge improvement over what other eateries have tried to pass off as wings around here. The pizza, while not NY style, is probably some of the best that the area has to offer. On Monday's and Tuesday's you get half off your pizza order if everyone orders a beverage. DEFINITELY worth it. My only complaint is the parking, which is limited. There is the main lot in front of the building, some extra parking spaces behind the Laundromat next to it, or park in the Glenmont metro garage.
