Disappointing! I was really hoping for something great, especially with the name Stallone attached, but boy, did it fall short! * The Margherita Pizza lacked tomato sauce--every Margherita I've had (even in Italy) includes tomato sauce. * The sauce was way off--overly acidic and seriously lacking in flavor! It felt like it was missing some essential seasonings. When I asked for extra sauce, unfortunately, it was just as underwhelming. * Hoping the meatball sub would save the day, but nope! The meatballs lacked seasoning and had an odd texture--almost mushy, as if they were frozen and didn't cook through properly. * The garlic rolls, pizza crust, and sub bread were all disappointingly doughy. I'd rate it 2 out of 5 stars--mostly because the Caesar salad was decent (hard to mess that up) and the fries with the sub were nicely crispy, and our server Selena was very kind and very accommodating. We picked up lunch from this small restaurant that is easily accessible from the turnpike. We called in advance from the car phone and on arrival, our order was ready. No need to even get out of your car. They deliver your order right to you. If you're paying by credit card, just let them know to add in a tip as they don't even have you sign a slip. We ordered a dinner size (so we could share) of their chicken Marsala. It came with a choice of soup or salad. We selected Caesar salad. And made sure garlic rolls were included (a current craving). When we got home, the salad (that had been wrapped separately) was still crisp and fresh with shavings of cheese on top. The portion of chicken Marsala was large and overloaded with mushrooms. The "angel hair" was thin spaghetti, but it was a tad overcooked for my taste. I prefer al dente pasta. We each had a large bite and there were left overs for another meal. The "garlic rolls" were not. They were two plain regular rolls. We added some butter and they were okay, but I was disappointed as that's one of the reasons we chose an Italian restaurant to takeout from in the first place. The size of the meal was well worth the money. They were efficient and pleasant. And I'm glad they were open. read more

With restaurants being open only for take-out & delivery, we wanted to have a good meal and support a local restaurant that has served us well in the past. Stallone's is one of those places. We placed a pick-up order for chicken parmesan, wedding soup, pizza and antipasto salad. The food was ready on time and the process was very easy. Everything was delicious, as usual. Tender chicken in a delightful marinara sauce, plenty of penne pasta, nice cheesy pizza, the fabulous chicken meatballs and tortellini in the soup, and a good size salad with salami, cheese, pepperoncinis, and, for dessert, a bagful of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. We appreciate Stallone's for their great service and super Italian food. We'll be heading back there as soon as the dining room re-opens. read more

Ordered ziti with meat sauce. The pasta was dry with barely any sauce or flavor. The penne vodka was also dry. It was the worst pasta ever. I called and spoke with a woman about our disappointment in the food quality. She tried to blame DoorDash for the pasta not having enough sauce. Her response was to call DoorDash for a refund, even though I ordered on Stallone's website. I give this place a perfect 5. The good: My wife and I ordered the chicken paramgian and the gnocchi with meat sauce. The chicken parm portion was huge (2 full pieces) and was breaded/fried to perfection. The chicken was tender and the outside was crispy. The sauce was delicious. However, the gnocchi with meat sauce stole the show. The gnocchi was insanely tender. The sauce was amazing and together it was melt in your mouth good. The OK: The garlic rolls and the side salads that came with the meal were nothing special, but were a nice opening course. Also the prices were just OK (~45 for 2 meals - but you are paying for quality so I can't complain) All in all I would highly recommend stallones as a go to Italian option in Boca. 5 out of 5 read more

How this place isn't a rock solid 5 stars is beyond me. Stallone's is a Boca institution. Embarrassingly large portions, reasonable prices, great tasting food, and top notch service. It's one of our favorite restaurants and usually the top of our list when we're talking about dining in or taking out. My personal favorites include the meatballs and the chicken parmigiana. My daughter and wife love their linguini and clams. There's so much to try though. They have great rolls, all their pastas are delicious, and don't miss the Italian wedding soup. They used to give free soup and salad with every entry, but they had to adjust to get with the times (inflation amirite?) but I'm not complaining. While visiting a friend while in Fort Lauderdale she recommended this place I have to say the ambiance really nice, casual yet elegant, the food is absolutely amazing. We got the snapper and shrimp special which was in a lemon white wine sauce with fresh vegetables which was absolutely melt in your mouth. I had the anti-Posto salad which was such a large amount I ended up taking it home but I'm looking forward to the next meal I will have it for. The garlic fresh rolls were hot and absolutely delicious and we ordered extra. Part of why I had to take my salad home! Server was Ralph was absolutely a pleasure. I tried their Baked Ziti for the first time, and it was simply dreadful. I have no idea how they have the nerve to serve something so undesirable to the palate? I'd argue that this place has the worst customer service in all of Boca, perhaps the entire state of Florida. It needs to be said, this wasn't the first time I've been to Stallone's and every time we go, we always have problems, so after some time away, we figured it's time to give it another shot; huge mistake. On this most recent dinner visit, we got there at around 5pm on a Sunday, still in time for their early-bird menu. Just to sum the whole ordeal up, the entrees for dinner are approximate $3 less then the regular menu, and the portion size is smaller. The three of us got entrees off the early bird menu ($16.50/each), and we ordered another entree to-go. The waitress explained to us that we couldn't get the early bird to go, so we said fine, bring it out to the table. Well she didn't bring it to the table and told us they would do it to go. Well guess what, on the final check, there was the order, full priced. We asked her, and she went back to talk to someone, and just held to it that we couldn't get the early bird to go, even though the waitress led-us on, implying we could. Now $3 is nothing to get angry over, but it's the principle of the thing. As I said previously, this isn't the first time we've been here and they aren't good service-wise. We left here feeling very unhappy and unsatisfied. They led us on with the pricing, gave us mixed messages. This place looked so nice the minute i arrived and was hoping it would be great italian food. Unfortunately looks are deceiving. Our server was this nice gentleman who talked way too loud which did bother me. I came with my siblings and for starter we got the baked chicken wings from the special menu. This was the most disgusting thing ive ever tasted in my entire life. The wings had a funky flavor and werent even baked. They were definitely cooked in a pan on the stove and thrown some gross sauce on top and too much onions. We got complimentary bread rolls that were tossed in what seems like oil not butter and topped with bitter minced garlic. The garlic roll was drenched in this oil which was so disgusting. I ordered the rigatoni alla vodka because thats my traditional order when i eat italian. This was the most nastiest flavorless pasta dish on planet earth. It wasnt even saucy at all and nobody puts mushrooms with rigatoni alla vodka period. The only thing I decently enjoyed was my Caesar salad. Oh let me not forget who doesnt have blue cheese in their restaurant at all? My sister got the comp soup pasta fagioli and that wasnt that great and it was a thick gravy not even soup like period. Im sorry I refuse to ever dine here again. I dont recommend this place. Oh and the worker with the long blonde hair male picks his nose and doesn't wash it. I have been here many times & after careful consideration, across the board this is the best Italian Restaurant in the Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach, & Pompano Area. I have not eaten at every Italian Restaurant, but I have eaten at many including Maggianos, Pizza Time, Villagio, Valentino's (Pompano), and Luigi De Roma (Deerfield). Please explore my reviews on all these places. I will evaluate Stallone's on the following criterion, starting from most to least important in my opinion: 1) Taste: The food tastes the best at Stallone's, they often have specials, & the portions are larger! 2) Price: I feel it is fairly priced. 3) Decor: It is a little old fashioned, but I like that & it is what they are going for. Reminds me of a Sunday at Grandmothers. 4) Service: The serice is good. Yes, the service at a Luigi De Ramo is superior, but I don't need the "boat & pony" show. Everytime I have gone the Server has been kind & brought everything requested. Overall, premium food, fair prices, comfortable atmosphere, & great service. It isn't the optimal choice on all criterion (IE: For a special date night a Villagio maybe better), but nothing could be. I am 6 months pregnant and needed to use the restroom pretty badly. Given that I have ate here numerous times I figured this would be a clean spot to use the restroom. As I asked to use the restroom the rude older lady told me to leave that this isn't a public restroom. I explained that I was 6 months pregnant and I also have Crohn's disease and she pointed to the door and said " I don't care have a nice day" and rolled her eyes. I walked next door and the Asian noodle bar kindly let me use their facilities. As a family owned restaurant I promise you I will be telling everyone in Boca about the down right rudeness. Con: Very loud. Average noise level was 88 decibels. As a consequence my party was ready to leave after about an hour. (Service was prompt. We had finished eating.) Bottom line: If you want a relaxed meal paced so that you can spend 2.0 hours over dinner (hence conversation is encouraged) this is not the venue. Can I give TEN stars? Stallone's delivered THE most delicious Christmas Eve meal! When I ordered, the order was taken by a lovely lady by the name of Taylor who answered all my questions! The meal arrived ON TIME, by a friendly young man at our door! We ordered delivery for 7:30 and I am not kidding....the doorbell rang at 7:30! The meal arrived HOT and fresh! Definitely had not been sitting under a heat lamp! Ten different meals and each of the ten of us raved about the quality, freshness and wonderful taste! A plate of cookies that I ordered had mistakenly not been included. No big deal..but guess what? Twenty minutes later a BEAUTIFUL plate of Italian Christmas cookies arrived! ON CHRISTMAS EVE!!! Never expected that, but Stallone's made it happen! Stallone's made this "awkward", "socially distanced" Christmas Eve, a wonderful evening that was delicious, and nobody here had to cook! I didn't like the food I had here tonight, but that's not on the establishment. I'm used to eating a non-American version of Italian food which is head over heels above anything else. The friend I was with tonight totally enjoyed his meal and said he'd return. He tried my dish and found it very tasty, whereas I didn't. I've known him for over 40 years, and we pour the same foods and restaurants most of the time. I wouldn't return, but he would. They did nothing wrong, service was excellent, people were friendly, and the food was the way it was supposed to be. Just got home from my women's group meetup at Stallone's. We were 20 women and they handled our large group with ease. Our waiter, Ralph, was friendly and very patient with us. Hidden away in a strip center on western Glades, but be prepared to wait. We had a reservation, but still had a short wait. It's a fairly small, but very busy place, and the word about their good food, and value, has gotten out. Also, please note the size of their portions on the tables as you enter. They are HUGE! My wife typically takes home half her dinner, so I was not surprised when she did the same with her veal parm. However, I typically finish my meal, and I took home over half of my chicken scarpiello! And we both enjoyed our meals, as did our dining partners. One of them even asked if she could get a dish she typically gets at lunch, but did not appear on the dinner menu. Our server said she would check, and sure enough, she was accommodated. At the end of the meal, we all left quite full, with the next days dinner in hand, as did many of the other diners that evening. And although available, we did not order dinners for two.
