We came here for a quick drink and snack before dinner. We were able to get a seat pretty quickly in the bar area. We had some onion rings and cheese bread. I received my chicken undercooked and when I received a new dish I realized it was the same undercooked chicken being served to me ask wondered if they gave me the same plate the uncooked chicken was on. Also when I mentioned it, the staff weren't that phased. I would not return. read more

Very impressed with our dinner this evening. Especially being Thanksgiving weekend and having a party of 13. Food came out in a reasonable time and was delicious. Prime Rib was spot on, paired with an Old Fashioned and can't go wrong with the Brownie Sundae for dessert. Definitely looking forward to going back already. I was having a rough day. Suddenly I realized I hadn't eaten most of the day and needed to wait for traffic to die down before heading back to my side of the river. I had forgotten that there was a Stanford's here and had never been in this location. From the start it was a great experience. The two people at the front were very welcoming and they even asked what I would prefer for a table. I got a comfy booth, was able to order fast since I knew just what I wanted. Genuinely most came home with me since their portions are generous. I started with their spinach artichoke dip which is pretty amazing - I have had it at quite a few locations and it is consistently great - I get it with just the flat bread though. The chips are ok - I just prefer the bread and the dip reheats well if you are gentle with it. I grabbed the crab melt with a salad...always order their salad because it is an overload of yum! It is topped with hard boiled egg and bacon crumbles but also has a lot of veggies and a great lettuce variety. Their dressings are delicious too and this is one of the few places I actually grab the ranch since is is delicious, very thick and house made. The crab melt, honestly, I probably won't order again because it was underwhelming. There was hardly any crab - it was more like a crazy pile of cheese and tomato. The rest of my meal was so great though and I was legit exhausted. That salad was just what I needed. The gent helping me was amazing - so friendly and was there when I needed him. It is so great when someone gives you heads up as to what to expect so everything is seamless...it was just the kid of care I needed. I also appreciate being able to use the restroom on the way out - location is everything seriously and realizing you have to tinkle while stuck on the highway is mega lame. Heading to the car, seeing the sign and saying, "Oh...actually...". I had to giggle too since each stall is like a room and they have the music in there elevated...just in case you are having THAT kind of day! I just appreciate a bathroom I can navigate easily with my walking cast because I dread public restrooms so not having to fight doors or pray a sink is not a complicated nightmare to use. read more

We had a large party for a birthday and made a reservation. Sherri (sp?) was our waitress and was amazing. The food was great, they got all of our orders right, let us bring in a birthday cake, and brought it in with the candles lit (which I was expecting to need to do myself). First of all, I never thought, ever, I would give a tip more than 20% ever in my life. But the service today at your restaurant was just so exceptionally great. My chicken was cooked perfectly. My husband's salad (he's vegetarian) was amazing which I could've eaten myself. And the Peach Tea... That's the first thing I did was to google the recipe. Anyway, the tea just kept on coming. Usually, in a lot of restaurants, refills are always forgotten. More like 10-15 minute wait after you finished your glass. And I've gotten used to just taking small sips so it'd last. Not this time. When I finished my second glass, I literally thought to myself, if I get another refill in the next 30 seconds, I'll have to write a survey and give a 25% tip which I've never done before. And of course, Courtney did give me another glass. Courtney is amazing, very friendly, professional, personable, and just on point. So as the other two male employees who kept giving us peach tea. (I've never had peach tea before). The hostess who greeted us was wonderful and very welcoming as well!! Now, usually, the service falls through at the end, based on our past experience at a lot of other restaurants. This is when we would wait for about 10, sometimes 15 minutes before we get our check. 98% of the time. Not this time. We got our check/tab within a minute after finishing our dessert. Our dessert was also amazing! Anyway, sorry this was too long. I'm going to post this on Yelp and Google too. We've always loved Stanford's. I came here with some coworker, the food was good and the service was actually great. I the restaurant looked nice and had a good vibe. I've come here for happy hour in the past and it was great, but for dinner, it was just good. I'd give them a 3.5 if I could, but that's not an option. The steak was fine, I've had better at similar establishments. Again, it was a decent time but the happy hour here is great. read more

This restaurant was good but not one I would talk to my friends about. I think it was kinda just average. We are visiting from out of town and love to try new restaurants. I ordered the lamb chops and my husband got the prawn penne (the special for the week). My lamb chop was good and cooked pretty spot on but I wish it had more sauce. The asparagus was good & rosemary potatoes were fine. My husband said the pawns really were just frozen shrimp. The cocktail menu had a wide range and we ended trying the spicy margaritas. LOVELY! better steak than El Gaucho, more lovely ambiance than del fuego, fancier sides than Oregon city grill , and much better service than anywhere else ... we only like Thai orchid better for the sushi ... we feel like family but also super upscale. First time here and sat at the bar. TVs are in weird places not visible from the bar. Started with charred Brussels sprouts. They were cooked perfectly. Came with 3 sauces and all 3 were great. Balsamic reduction was the best. Had then salmon chowder which was good , but it was literally just liquid. No chunk of any kind. Flavor was good thought. Had the French dip. Cooked to order medium. Meat was flavorful and tender. Bread was soft but flavor was a tad off. Horseradish sauce was good, with a small kick. The meal was capped off with a great crème brûlée. Soft, creamy and smooth. 10/10 on that. Would go back to try their steaks/. Service / server in bar area was attentive and very nice to chat with. Went at lunch time in Sunday and it was fairly quiet. Parking is horrendous. Plan to walk from a distance. read more

We took our friends to Stanford's tonight. The service we had there was extremely friendly and prompt. We ordered a couple of steaks and the flavor was amazing. I ordered a Lavender Lemonade which I have never had before but was dying to try. The Lavender Lemonade was excellent. The restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere and even though the restaurant was busy conversations didn't bleed into each other. It was quiet nice. Steak salad tips guys. This is why everyone was lined up waiting for the Oswego grill and you're across the street and it's empty. I asked for well-done steak I get bloody steak on my salad that isn't cut up or seasoned just big floppy pieces that I have to cut in order to eat and put back on my salad.
