UNSATISFACTORY Full Service Carpet Cleaning / Entire home My most recent appointment was very disappointing, actually it was infuriating. I have been a repeat customer for over 16 years and have ALWAYS had 2 professional service agents come to do my service. This year however, one young gentleman showed up at my door. I was in shock and dumbfounded. ( I later found out that it was his FIRST SOLO appointment! ) I addressed the manager immediately and I was told 'THIS IS HOW THEY ARE DOING BUSINESS NOW', I was never told about their new policy up front and I was very upset. Prices go up but service is diminished! I was needed to help lift furniture, to maneuver the cleaning hoses and I paid the price of straining my back! Still, with my help, this job was too big a for one man and staircase ended up smelling bad when it was complete. Angry and upset about the smell, I called again and spoke to the gentleman who made my original appointment, as the manager was unavailable. I apologized for being so frantic but explained HOW UNHAPPY I WAS with this whole experience. He immediately dispatched 2 gentlemen to my home, a total pro (which was what I was used to getting in the past years) and a second man to assist him. I was delighted and surprised. My staircase was REDONE and the issue was resolved in the best way. This courtesy call really made me feel better and it was a happy ending to a very unsatisfactory and distressing appointment. we would not recommend anyone ever using Stanley Steamer. We had them clean five rooms, two hallways and a set of stairs in a rental house. They up-sales my husband to pay extra to ensure that spots were removed from the carpet. No spots were removed from the carpet anywhere. One bedroom look like a dog had spit up on the carpet. They did not even attempt to remove that from the carpet. It was still there! They went over at once lightly and left the rest. Up chuck still on the carpet!! We let them know that we were unhappy with the service. Someone was supposed to be contacting us but it's been over 48 hours and they haven't responded. Definitely not happy. read more

When we spoke with the 2 ladies in the Azusa office we specifically said that one of the bedrooms to be cleaned needed extra cleaning power and that the other bedroom ONLY traffic. We were told the entire job would be $179 (their special that month, yeah right) !! We scheduled the appointment and when the guys came out the lead guy said "OH, that'll be $85 more for the cleaning solution !! Turns out, they ONLY use hot water steam to clean and you must pay more if you want the "stain remover" method. Not only that, the lead guy is there to push products and annual cleanings. By the way, what we paid extra for (to remove stains in one bedroom) was money wasted cuz the stains are back. What's interesting , we never received a "survey" email or phone call......I wonder why :( read more

I cannot recommend this service for Berber carpets. Their machine just swirled around the dirt back into the carpets. They also created an orange stain on one of the carpets with their chemicals. Their truck parked up close to the house and spewed diesel fuel exhaust from their generator into our home while we tried to keep the home ventilated. And after all that, it took 2 days for our carpets to dry. I asked for a refund, even a partial refund, but they would not give it to me. They did offer to come back and redo the cleaning, but if they are using the same machine and process why would I do that? I will never use them again. Update -- the response from the business is misleading. I did call back, but he was not available. None of his messages confirmed a partial refund. He already knows I do not want them back in my home, so that is a no go. This service may work for others but not for me. read more

I always thought Stanley Steemer only did carpet cleaning. That was until I saw a commercial on TV that they also do A/C Duct cleaning. My guest house has insulation pieces flying through the vents, so I placed a call and today Luke came from Stanley Steemer and cleaned my A/C ducts. What a fantastic job he did! He really worked his tail off. Luke thoroughly vacuumed the ducts with both a large vacuum running continuously, as well as using a hand vacuum to get the larger debris. He took the cover of my heat pump off and thoroughly cleaned it. Luke also took the vent covers off and washed them thoroughly. He put the time in to do a first rate service. Honestly I was shocked at what a fabulous job he did. My ducts are sparkling clean, and smell great now because he added sanitizer. I highly recommend. Epic job!. Ask for Luke. This review is for a mini sectional and an area rug My husband and I utilized Stanley Steamer based on the reviews we found in Yelp... and well, how could anyone forget their classic commercials with the catchy song. We live in a tiny apartment and with two male pups that can really cause a mess with their paws ( and rare leg lifts ugh) We decided to give Stanley Steamer a call and see what was the fuss. Our tech came in and cleaned the couch. Stains weren't visible since it is a dark grey. We were overall pleased, but will wait to see how long it takes to dry and whether it dries smelling clean or moldy, as some people have stated is a problem for them. He offered to clean the area rug too, which my husband agreed upon But based on people's bad experiences with cleaning at their place we asked if he can take it and clean it at the warehouse which was an extra $40 on top of the $40 to clean it. So after a few months we can fairly say if you're using Stanley Steamer to clean area rugs save yourself the money and just buy a new one. The rugs dried with a weird odor and it wasn't worth the money. As for the couch it was an okay investment that we wouldn't do again. It took forever to dry in our apartment despite the recommendations and of course the tribe smell on the side of the couch never truly went away. Wouldn't steam clean our couch or area rug. The Carpet Cleaners came in and immediately tripled the price quoted and then proceeded to do exactly what I did not expect them to do. I needed to negotiate the price and the cleaner became belligerent and angry. I was uncomfortable and the job was so so. A $250 estimate turned into a wet $550 mess. With Stanley Steamer it really depends on who they send. I think they are franchised but not sure. read more

Paul and Curtis were professional and courteous. They worked methodically to ensure ever duct was thoroughly cleaned. ABSOLUTELY GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Well at first it wasn't but Jazmin came in for the rescue. Originally I believe a guy named Jessie helped me. I called in asking for a quote and I requested that it be mailed to me so my boss can sign off on the total cost. I called, requested it, but no email ever came through. I called again to follow up and that's when Jazmin picked up. She redirected me to Jessie since he had all the information. He told me that the quote was still downloading but not sure why it would take a hour to do so. Again I waited. The work day is almost done an no email sent. What saved this not-so-great experience was that Jazmin called back to follow up and made sure I received the estimate. She totally went above and beyond because 1. I wasn't even her customer to worry about and 2. it was the end of a work day. Just as a background, I work for a real estate development company and we own a lot of rental properties. I often have to reach out to companies for cleaning and other maintenance services. I've dealt with a lot of people and one of the things I hate the most is having to constantly reach out to a company to get a job done. Jazmin by far has been on the top of my list of someone who offers great customer service. It's experiences like this, especially in the beginning of any service request, that really tells you a lot about how the company will handle the job. Kudos Jazmine. I've always heard great things, and so when my pet had an accident on the couch, I got a quote online. Low and behold, they call me 24 hours before the appt to "confirm" the appt, and then told me that my cost was going to DOUBLE because the couch was a sectional, despite there being no option to specify that online. It's absurd to have the price quoted at $246 and then suddenly the day before to call and change it to $475. I could get a whole new couch for that price. If you can't give an accurate quote online then that shouldn't be an option. read more

Complete fraud these people are running a very fraudulent business. I was waiting three hours for them to start cleaning my apartment one of the guys arrived and he said he couldn't do the job alone so we ended up waiting for the other person for 3" hours. Meanwhile my daughter was at a babysitter and I ended up paying double for my sitter and dealing with a complete disaster, I live in a small apartment they ended up charging me $800 to clean my floors which was steam cleaned none of the furniture was moved because my furniture is so heavy and a carpet clean in one room. The day of my appointment there was no manager available I called several times supposedly their managers get off work at 3 o'clock and then they're unavailable after that so the customer is never a priority. They treat their stuff like shit I felt very bad for the people who worked for this company. I called and spoke to the manager explained my situation to him he offered $100 credit and I didn't take any responsibility. Please go anywhere else this place is a sham. I explained to the manager that I'm a single mother and I don't understand why I was being charged $800 for such a small job he didn't offer any explanation and just said if that's what they charged me then that's what the price is and he can offer $100 credit for my babysitter. honestly after this phone call I have no idea how this person that I spoke to name Ryan can live with himself. My family trusted Stanley Steamer to come into our family's home and clean our carpets for the Christmas holiday two days ago, 2021. Unfortunately our carpet cleaner decided to become a thief while cleaning my 79 year old legally blind father's portion of our house, by stealing all his jewelry and leaving only empty boxes where his jewelry use to be. Also this jewelry was not in plain site, but was hidden under clothes in his drawer. So that ment this thief took the time from cleaning to go Thru drawers. It is so sad that you cannot trust businesses to come into your home anymore, and sadder that he would take advantage of a senior citizen with a disability. I will not ever use Stanley Steamer again, you have lost my business which we previously used in the past every six months consistently over the last several years. Police reports and documentation has been applied and I hope he is caught in the act the next time he decides not to buy his own jewelry and decides to steal another's persons personal items. My experience began with Shawn coming to my home and assessing the situation and giving me a quote. After the Bobcat fire, we wanted to make sure that we had good air quality for our kids and Shawn did an amazing job explaining everything to me. He didn't pressure me and even recommended that I waited until the fire was truly contained so that their services would be more effective. Come day for vent cleaning and I was pleasantly surprised by Richard and Paul. Both were very professional and understanding that I wanted to know how the process works. Although the process is about 3 hours, the time went by fast. They respected my space as I worked and chatted with me when I had questions. Our recent visit from Stanley Steemer was for something I didn't even realize they did, but apparently they do it on the commercial side as a separate thing from their normal services. I learned that they have a contract with Liberty Mutual to handle water damage in homes. We're in a new house and thanks to shoddy construction by the flipper, we had bad water damage from the rains a couple weeks ago: water poured in through ceilings and walls. Our insurance company is Liberty Mutual and they said they were sending Stanley Steemer out to do what they called "water mitigation" - and the next day the 2 guys showed up and set up closed plastic tents, took out damaged drywall, and set up big fans and an industrial dehumidifier. We would need to run this stuff for 3 days to dry out the structure before the interior could be repaired. They did all the stuff you would expect, like laying down paper on the floors and covering surfaces, but what I wanted to comment on was just how nice their people were. It's obviously a stressful situation for the homeowner, and these guys came in - nice as could be, super helpful, explained everything - and helped make it better. And the lead guy on the team reassuringly said "it looks really bad, but trust me: in a week or two you'll be back to normal and it'll just be a bad memory." They get bonus points for being such nice people in addition to doing a great job. read more
