this place has been and continues to be a joke! it seems every time I go here, no one cares about their job, knows anything more about a product than I do (or can read myself about) and just an annoying place to shop. I go in to purchase another wireless printer, as mine died and am withing for some help while the store person is talking with another customer. I actually hear him say to the other customer the he has to go and cannot help anymore because he is on over time! WTH? Then, the ass clown they send over to help me has the personality of a rock. He has NO people skills what so ever and I am just annoyed. I grab what I hope is compatible and take it to checkout, which is no better. The kid rings me up and mumbles.......would you like a 2 year warranty? No explication, no excitement and no information on what that covers or cost or nothing! I ask him how much it is and what it comes with and he gives me a blank look and says $45 on a $99 purchase. Really? 1/2 of the cost? NEVER coming here again! read more

This store has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. They would rather inconvenience the customer rather than give into what they refer to as a "preference". My computer monitor went out on me, so I went down to this Staples to look at monitors. First time I went they seemed really busy so I left and came back later. Second time I come back and no one acknowledges me or asks me if I need help. I had to go to the cashier and ask if I could get some help. A employee comes up to me and doesn't look too happy to have to assist me. He wasn't very much help. This store is also very messy. I left without buying a monitor and purchased a monitor somewhere else. read more

I have come to this Staples location for years, but this interaction I had with a sales associate stood out to me. I went to buy a chair on President's Day weekend because they were on sale. Not knowing what exactly I wanted, I went directly to the back of the store where I knew the chairs were. As I was hopping from chair to chair testing out the comfort level, a sale associate named Eddie asked me if I needed help choosing a chair. He brought me a magazine with all the different styles they offered. He asked me several questions trying to figure out what exactly I wanted. He gave personal testimony as to what was his favorite chair and why, which I ended up going with because it was so comfortable, and I have a really bad back. There were no more boxes of the color I wanted on the sales floor, so Eddie searched high and low in their back stock and found one chair left in the color I wanted. He carried it to the front, and even though he wasn't the one who rang us up, he was kind enough to wait for the woman who was ringing me up to be done, and he took the box out to my car for me knowing I had back problems and he maneuvered it around so that it would fit. Just from that experience alone, I will continue returning back to this Staples time and time again. read more

Had a really bad experience with the printing department. One woman was very helpful, can't quite remember her name. We needed to get a sizeable print and was promised it would be ready at a decent time but when we called back and got another woman we were given a much different response. She was so incredibly rude and was not willing to help. She claimed there were so many orders ahead of us yet there was nothing even printing! Such, terrible terrible service. Maybe the worst customer service I've ever received. It's obvious she just doesn't feel like doing her job. read more

Hate it when I get pissed off, Staples screwed/lied to me. Bought an office chair there with extended warranty 2 years ago and was told, 'bring it back for a new one anytime, even if you slash it with a knife. We have you in the system, you don't even need a receipt.' Chair wore out (cheap junk) and I bought it back but, 'They can't find me, what card did you use? (IDK, I got 10 cards, only carry 1 at a time) Your 'rewards' number doesn't have this purchase listed.' Their attitude was like 'this is not going to happen, we will not help you, get lost.' GRRR. Go back home, lugging the chair. Dig through my receipts for an hour and found it! Hurray for me. Have to go back and deal with people who where condescending, defensive and combative. What fun I will have going back tomorrow, for the last time ever. Don't these morons understand they are supposed to stay in business? read more

Worst customer service! I tried printing out a booklet I needed for my finals. I chose staples because I thought they do professional printing. They close at 9pm and I arrive there at 8:30PM and the lady who was stationed there was talking aloud to another associate then when I asked her for help to print, she looked irritated and asked me to come back tomorrow morning to print. I asked her can't it be done tonight? Is only 8 30PM. She looked back at me irritated and put out her hand angrily for me to hand her my usb without a word. While she was waiting for the USB to load, her phone was ringing and was using her phone literally right in front of me. She looked like she had no idea how to print or use a computer because for one, she assumed that the computer froze because the USB wasn't opening, but that's cause she did not double click it! After opening, she dint know how to print my document in its booklet layout. She did not bother looking for solutions. Just looking irritated and telling me to come back tomorrow. I had to figure it out myself and check the settings in the computer. Then she looks irritated and telling me I'm not even allowed to use the computer. Weeeellll maybe if she actually knows how to do her job I wouldn't have to figure it out myself. What makes me even more irritated is that I still printed the wrong format just so I have something to submit and I still had to pay for it. Never going back here again. To the management, can you pls train this lady! I wouldn't even be as disappointed if she just had gave basic customer service. If she looks that irritated and miserable at her job, let her go and finally make her happy. read more

I was surprised when I discovered they charge more for ink cartridge than their website advertises. Their stock has diminished. It is good enough if you need something in a hurray, envelops, paper and the like. They do match online prices but you have to ask. So for a higher priced item check a price online first. read more

Hello, I was just at the Concord Store. I spent $35.89 in the copy center and then went to purchase some additional items. I had just received a $10 off your entire in-store pruchase of $30 or more coupon. I presented it, my items, a copy of my receipt and my rewards card, The cashier did not know how to handle honoring the $10 off. She called another clerk and then the MOD. He would not accept the coupon stating that copies don't apply. I, in turn, opted not to buy some items. I looked closer at the coupon after I left- IT DID NOT say copy center purchases excluded. IT is no wonder this store has very few customers. On top of that, the cashier did not scan my rewards card for the items I bought! I will be shopping elsewhere from now on. read more

Horrible customer service at online store. I purchased the TI 84 plus C calculator online for $119. Color was pink. Prices varied by $5 with color. Target has same calculator on sale for $89.99 ANY color (but they don't show pink online). Staples refused to price adjust. Any other color, no problem, but not pink. They would rather me return the calculator, which is identical. I'd understand if pink had been more expensive on their website, but it wasn't!! Color was Totally incidental. Bad!! Forcing me to return and buy at another store. read more

The people in the print shop are awesome! I have been going there for many years and they always do a great job, help me fix whatever needs fixing, and make sure my print job looks good and that I am happy with in when I walk out. read more

I can't give this store any stars. Horrible customer service. Waited in line while only cashier and manager tied up the only checkout line helping a customer who clearly needed a lot of help. But rather than open another register or even acknowledge the building line of customers waiting to check out, neither the manager nor cashier did or said anything. I left my stuff in the basket and walked out. No reason to put up with this. Clearly, lots of bad experiences at this store but no one at Staples seems to be doing anything to fix it. read more

Don't expect any customer service from these guys. Employees are busy around the store in small groups chatting with each other. I was invisible until it was time to swipe my card at the register. This staff doesn't care about a customer finding what they need. It's up to you to find it. In other words, you're on your own. The inventory is weak so I really had to hunt to find the 4 items on my list. I've been in many Staples stores throughout California yet this one is, by far, the WORST in customer service and inventory. I'll drive the 20 extra minutes to OFFICE DEPOT in Walnut Creek instead of spending my money at this store. read more
