I am disappointed compared to boiling crab. I ordered 1lb of mild shrimp. It came in what looked like just diluted sauce. It was watery. Liquidy. It hardly had any flavor besides some salt and lime. Not at all comparable to the mild sauce at boiling crab where it is rich and flavorful. There it's Not watery in texture and has a lot of sauce. The positives are zero wait times. They offer Cajun and sweet potato fries. The fries seem thicker cut here by comparison. The package price for a variety of food is a good deal. The staff is friendly. This is my second or third visit to this place and it does not disappoint. There is plenty of food to go around and we always seem to order more than necessary. The shrimp and the fried oysters would be sufficient but the king crab legs, the lobster and the rock crabs sing their siren song to eat them also. Tried this place for the first time and it was amazing!!! I'm a huge fan of Cajun seafood and I usually go to the big chains bc these small wanna be places aren't usually good. They have family style orders which make it convenient and more desirable with your variety of options. With that being said we had the first one and it included 3 LBs of shrimp and two other sea food choices, along with potatos, sausage, and corn. I love shrimp so we did 2 LBs of shrimp and one of craw fish. Their marinade is very tasty!!! Came here because my usual place is closed Wednesday and I really wanted crawfish. I ordered 5 lbs of crawfish (frozen $10.95) and 2 lbs of clams. Also ordered an order of fries and cajun chicken wings. Seafood: the crawfish was so big. It's hard finding big crawfish in California and all the years I've had crawfish in California I've never had a whole bag with equally big crawfish like this. Most of the time at other places I'm lucky to find 3 or 4 out of the whole bag that is big. The flavor (full house)was a little bland at the top because all the sauce is at the bottom, but it is easily fixed by tying the bag up and flipping it upside down and ripping the bag open from the bottom so the sauce gets flipped over the dry pieces that were on top. The sauce itself was delicious, not too salty, plenty of garlic. The clams were good but the crawfish was the star last night. Appetizers: the cajun chicken was very good. The breading was delicious but it was a tiny bit too salty, nothing ranch couldnt fix. The fries were like popeyes fries but with cajun seasoning. Staff: Robert was very friendly and welcoming, he sounded remorseful about the oysters (read below) and I appreciated that. I may have found my new seafood spot! It's closer than my usual one and if they continue to serve such big crawfish I will always come here. The only flaw is that they dont sell the oysters to go. Which is a shame because I always love eating raw oysters to counter the saltiness of the cajun seasoning of everything else. I was told that the owner doesnt feel comfortable letting people leave with raw seafood (which is understandable. New business and you dont need any lawsuits or anything from someone getting sick) I was just so accustomed to the oysters that I was a little disappointed. So unless I'm always fine with no oysters. We tried out Star Crab with two families and ordered King Star family combos. It was huge amount and every single piece inside the bag was super juicy and tasty. Amazingly all the crabs were full of meats inside. Definitely recommend to dip in the 911. I was surprised with the corns and potatoes which were so soft and well blended with the sauce. This is a new place in the area. We decided to give it a try and support a new local businesses. Lots of parking since it's in a shopping center so that should not be a problem. There is no beer and currently working on their beer application. Staff is friendly and our server Jose explained how the menu works. Decore is cool, they have a tv and music playing. Looked over the menu with the help of Jose and we went with 1 lbs of shrimp and some add ons. Added some corn which just ended up being 1/2 a ear of corn, sausage also probably 1/2 a sausage and a side of Cajun fries. The fries were a good serving. Picked the sauce of full house. Full house is all the sauces together and that's garlic butter, lemon pepper and Cajun. Pick our level of spicy and we went spicy. Food comes out in a plastic bag and left on your table. They also give you limes and a little container with salt and pepper. One per person. I'm sure you can get more if you ask. Fries - Cajun fries were awesome. Very crunchy and hot. They brought us ranch with out even asking. That was a bonus. Shrimp - cooked well and they come with the heads and shell so you need to peel them. The shrimp is not deveined in case anyone wanted to know. Good flavor but not mind blowing. Corn - was very tender and cooked well but as I said earlier it was just half an ear. So how do we share that if there's two of us? Each person gets a bite at a time? If I knew it was one peace I would have ordered more. Sausage - was good but not enough. Again if I would have know I would have also ordered more. Flavor - flavorful and rich. Just a touch of heat and the full house sauce was good. Hints of different flavors all at once. We ordered shrimp star combo with full house sauce ( all sauces combined) and went with medium spicy. If you really like spicy, go up a level. We made our order over the phone and picked it up half hour later. The sauce was on point. We got the Blur Star Family Combo. Which came with potatoes, corn, sausage, shrimp, 2 crabs, claws and greens and black muscles. It also came with crawfish but substituted that for more shrimp. However, I have a hunch that the breaded shrimp were bought frozen but it was still fried well. They were also very generous in giving out extra ranch sauces to ensure that I would fully enjoy my meal which I appreciate. When the boiled shrimp came out, it was cooked well and was tasteful. The sauce was flavorful, a little salty. I ordered garlic bread on the side and it was good. However, they forgot to get me my corn I ordered! Not a big deal as this meal was fulfilling.
